- Now people get stuck at home because of the widespread lockdown I make more videos to teach people all over the world how to paint a better portrait. Someone is interested in the technique of making the video. Here is a brief explanation.
Video’s are always of good quality. Like all the info. Bedankt. Stay safe.
THANK YOU BEN WE LOVE YOU AND YOUR VIDEOS!
Ben, you are an amazing master artist and teacher. All of your work is impressive. The breath of your professionalism shows that you have invested the extreme amount of time it takes to learn each of the tools of your trade. I am pleased and grateful that you have shared your skills and knowledge. I have found your instruction to be very helpful. Many on these channels just say "look at me", but you go further. You explain the "hows" but you go further with the "whys". Many times my learning includes understanding where and why I went wrong. I realized that your instructions are comprehensive. You provide the "whole" story. You cover the subject like no one else. Thank you.
Thank you Howard for your kind words. I do my best to show everything I know and I am glad you appreciate it.
@@lustenhouwerThat’s the thing! Many in your place would do the opposite, and keep everything they know to themselves. Only superior spirits have such generosity and employ so much time and energy in sharing their experience and knowledge with others. I didn't have any of this when I studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts
Thank you Ben!! Love your work, teachings.. and your outlook on life.. You have been a big inspiration for me :)))
Nice to hear. Thank you George.
Wow! Thank you for this and all your other videos. I paint and draw everyday but now that I'm isolated like everyone else I feel like I need to get out of my comfort zone and try something new. It's time to take the leap and go from acrylic to oil. I have all my supplies and your wonderful videos. All the best to you and your family from mine in Nova Scotia. 🖌️🇨🇦
*Thank you sir for showing the hardwork in behind the camera👍* #rupakartlife

Beautiful work, very delicate
Hi, I love all forms of Art.. and I am new to your site.. and I'm enjoying it. So thank you 👏👍
I wondered how you were able to demonstrate your techniques and focus on the paintings and not the back of your head. Now I can visualize how it was done, even though it may make it a little more difficult for you to paint. Thank you for going out of your way to bring that level of transparency to the instruction.
Sometimes it drives me crazy. All that gear around and at the same time make a good painting. But: its fun!!
I like the stick idea! Thank you for the tips!

You have made yourself a precision studio. I like it very much.
Also you showed the color zones of the face. I never liked ochre as much as I do now.

You are an amazing man,I have learned so much from you and like great chefs you are not afraid to show your skills , there are not many like you out there. Thank you and I hope you stay safe and we all survive this ridiculous virus. We are so lucky to have a passion that helps us stay safe..
I have stayed a peculiar type of beginner . My family has always got in the way of my painting, I would not change that but I have never lost the desire to paint and I hope I never do . You have taught me more than teachers can that’s it’s ok to have a passion and desire to keep going.
Stay safe.liz

Editing in Premiere pro.
Thanks for sharing, very interesting! Just curious, what make and model is the easel camera? Very good quality!
My main camera is a Panasonic HC-X2000.
The piece of wood....could prod you in a nasty place... be careful!!! :) p.s. Thanks for these videos!
Nooo! Please make those cables as less as possible, they look to easily catch fire with books around when the lights getting too hot! Stay safe
This scared me oh God no
Do you prefer to work under artificial lighting?
Yes I do. I am a nine to five painter and the light always changes. Way back whenI had a studio with plenty of day light but I prefer this light. Always the same.
Could you give detailed information about your lighting setup? I am having a real issue with glare on my canvas. Color temp (5-6K bulbs) and light intensity (CRI 90+) I understand. Just cannot figure out why I’ve got such bad glare.
I had skylights for years but when we got our new roof I decided to remove them and go with strictly artificial light. Love the consistency (no more cloud shadows to contend with)! But if I try to paint a low key painting, I cannot see proper values due to glare.
Thank you for your kind and inspiring sharing of your knowledge and talent! Be safe and stay well!
From Colorado to you ❤️
