Crafty, artsy yes you are! The white on white tag is lovely. Ten months I've gone back in time ten months I see, just seeing what is of interest to learn, slow stitches, tags, ephemera, and and journaling. I'm still glowing from happiness after printing off your new digitals(all of it) for Christmas in two months. I will keep an original set to hoard. The old religious images and images of christmas past I totally appreciate. That took much hunting. Thank you

I left a reply to that issue, but I think youtube ate it -- or it's on another video -- my son thought it was around 12:30 AM last night -- in fact, it was around 2:15 AM and he needed help rounding up all these kittens -- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, can I send one -- or six -- to you? Ha. But then I was awake and watched a portion of one of her past videos -- my computer didn't work in youtube for almost all of Dec, but I thought about you, Tina, because I remember in the past two years somebody said something just really mean -- you're like the nicest person on youtube -- plus, you're so talented and just like Rachel, you share your techniques (who started the 3-fold pockets?? -- and I'm terrible with names -- the sweet lady who is the happy bohemian -- she's always making pockets -- a pocket here, a pocket there -- it hurt her feelings so much she almost quit -- because of her accent -- I was a court reporter (with the little machine in the courtroom, not a microphone on tv) for nearly 30 years -- started way young -- no, seriously, I was 19 -- anyway, just because the federal court is located in the city where I live, I worked on a lot of very high-profile cases -- and the law firms would hire people who specialized as being a media coach, and they always advised the person of interest just not to interact with the media, no matter how many and what type of questions or accusations they threw at them while walking in and out of the courthouse -- but I'm old now and I don't want to be mean back, but just point out the error of their ways -- ha -- I survived being the single parent of a male teenager that had to be in the car when he was learning to drive -- nothing phases me -- I'm glad Rachel spoke up -- I finally after almost a year -- a year -- in the making finished my pink journals -- I DID go to your channel on Christmas Day, but watched on tv and liked -- I can like but not leave comments -- ha -- and my bike got hit in the parking lot of our grocery store -- in December 2019, and then we've had the stay at home, but I need another one, so I need to record it, and it's just the thought of figuring out how to position the camera, and then doing edits -- and you girls post almost every single day, while raising a family and creating kits and dealing with etsy and postage and mailing -- you are all my heros, and I am most grateful !!! Big Hugs, Patricia

@@roxycreations679 I am so glad. I don't know how to spell this, and I actually feel kind of sorry for that person, because ... I am a vanilla kind of girl and have been all of my life -- vanilla ice cream over chocolate. I wear white all the time and didn't realize it until my neighbor mentioned it -- so, when you put the light grey paper under your fabric work, I thought that was brilliant !!! And so I picked out some of my favorite background pieces I literally use to paste on tags -- my old, but faithful HP, which I use as backup now, is out of color ink, but I have two full extended life black cartridges I just purchased. In my journals for main pages, I use a heavier weight, but for background I just use cheapo recycled 20 lb, and so I've spent the morning printing out a bunch of various light grey backgrounds -- if you had followed Ann's exactly, my life would be devoid of this lovely grey -- you go into your color and click on greyscale or print in black and white, and I put the image in just a drawing file and then I just lighten the image -- voila' perfect grey for background -- ha, I also have a scary movie suggestion for Lulu -- it's been happening for sometime now, and just for her I'll try to capture it on film, but everytime I look in the mirror, there's this ghost of this old woman staring back at me -- Oh, I was going to call you a "clever chuck" -- : ) -- oh, it's just easier for me, but I bought literally a thousand luggage tags, they're about 6.5 x 3.75 inches -- they were 20 bucks, but I should have purchased white ones -- If I had a paper chopper like yours I'd probably make my own -- but -- here's a link to the wermemkeepers dual paper cutter and scoreboard. I like it because it folds in half -- I use it all the time -- last week on the US amazon it was $19; hopefully on the Italian one you can find it pretty cheap -- also, a last question -- which of the paper tearers do you prefer -- your previous one or the new plastic one -- I also have both, along with like 6 others -- it's a sickness, I also collect and hoard dictionaries; weirdo me!! -- and I also have fiskars scissors that leave that ripped effect. But I find myself reaching over and over for the small metal one, although my 2nd fav is the plastic one, because you can kind of line it up using the center space -- enough of me -- www.amazon.com/We-Memory-Keepers-12-inch-titanium/dp/B00EOC6T6E/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=we+are+memory+keepers+paper+trimmer&qid=1610214221&sr=8-2

2020 for me was a positive year. I discovered junk journaling 😊, watercolouring, drawing etc. And I also love the peace and quiet the 'you know what' has brought and the slowing down of the world. I do not mind at all, not being allowed to go as I please, apart from going to work 5 days a week, because it gives me a chance to be creative and chill out, it takes pressure away. So, in every way, for me 2020 was a fantastic year for which I am hugely grateful 😊.

I know. I wasn't feeling well yesterday so was completely out of the loop and then to wake up this AM to see four people dead and the capitol breached -- I thought I was hallucinating . I live in Richmond, Va., and the news this AM -- from their website -- showed the protesters stopped about 30 miles north of Richmond in this small little college town, Ashland, I'm not sure why. When I was in the 9th grade -- English class -- Reader's Digest published a multi-issue report on "The Kent State Affair." where students protested the war in Viet Nam and four students were killed -- of course, none of us had any frame of reference -- it was a small college town in central Virginia -- but Crosby Stills had a song, with the chorus: Four Dead in Ohio -- Of course, some parents complained, but she pushed right back and said -- unless they learn this, then history will repeat itself. I never thought there would ever come a time, especially in modern history, that we would be where we are. Virginia is currently in a state of emergency -- it's the next day at 6:16 PM EST -- and the governor immediately called up the National Guard, as well as extra state troopers and police -- Virginia gets hit by hurricanes all the time, and the National Guard always responds for emergency services, I'm 64 and I don't think I have any memory of them being called up for a situation as yesterday. I'm glad I didn't watch the news or youtube -- peace be with us all -- Patricia

sorry for a second reply to your post -- this is the local news website -- I cannot believe the pictures -- Richmond got hit really hard this past summer, and I had to go downtown to a dr's appt., and couldn't believe it -- there were armed guards dressed in identical riot gear, only they were carrying these huge automatic rifles -- it was 2 days after a "protest" that caused almost $8 million in damages -- city hall, which takes up the entire block and has this huge glass plate windows and glass revolving doors -- the windows were broken out -- the park area around the general assembly (state government) building was closed, and huge chains like on large ships chained to port were around the gates with more security fencing and jersey walls -- that was June 23rd -- I haven't been back since. I needed to go to the post office, but couldn't make myself go there. www.wtvr.com/

Thank you for showing how you add beads. It turned out so pretty. Love that you are adding it to a tag. Great idea.

I just watched this even though I have seen the more recent ones. I am also doing Anne's challenge, I made the book and want to do the strip that you did. Loved doing the book. I wondered about your tags, what a great job, I thought you used a tag die cutter. Love your videos and always wonder how you ended up in Italy. I'm Canadian , met and married (later divorced) an Italian American and lived in the States for 16 years. Then met an English man in Toronto and we were together for 20 years until he died 11 years ago. I'm probably older than your mum and have been hand sewing forever but learn cool stuff from you all the time. Thanks Rachel.

Great idea to use paper you don’t like. I’m doing Anne Brookes tags so I cut up cardboard boxes like ice cream and other boxes I had. It worked well and I made a hole in the top. Greetings from New Zealand.

I love the look of this tag, the layers of lace and fabric are luscious. As for the ugly commenter -- by blocking her, you have had the last word (although the rest of us would like to have a word with her too!). Thanks for sharing your creativity, Rachel.

Such a gorgeous tag, Rach! And what fun! Thanks for talking about Anne and linking her. I’ve gone over to subscribe. I’m trying to talk myself into doing the challenge. Challenges kind of stress me, but one tag a week might be doable. As always, you inspire me, friend! ❤️

I love your creativity. I watched Anne's video and I did see her mention that if there is ever a tag you didn't want to do... then do what you want. My tags are larger... And I wasn't planning on doing any stitching at all, just fabric collage with glue. But after watching a few videos and getting inspired, I will do the stitching because I've always wanted to learn embroidery, It takes me out of my comfort zone and encourages me to try new things. Sorry that you had that mean comment. I've learned that there are just mean people out there... for no reason than to be mean. Don't let it make you second guess what you do. You are fabulous! Lulu is a delight when she pops in, and your husband as well with his beautiful accent. I really enjoy your channel!

What a great idea! I wish I’d of thought to do that for mine. I did use card stock paper I had but they’re not great colors. So I used them up. Love the ruler idea as well. Good job.

Hi Rachel... I haven't commented in awhile, but I have been watching every video. I just finished my first journal and it's going to my friend in Victoria Australia.
I was kind of puny the week following Christmas. I don't think it was the unmentionable, but I just wanted to sleep and it was really cold so I hibernated.
Love the journals you have finished and I know I'll enjoy the tag making.
    Thank you for sharing.

Love your tag booklet Rachel. I am enjoying watching everyone else's first tags and was surprised how much white I thought I had and in the end, how much was actually antique or off white, very, very pale yellow, or cream. Such a lovely project for the year. Looking forward to seeing what you and everyone else produce.

I’m in on this one. Love slow stitching and collaging. Already designed my first two in my head (lol) and already behind stitching the first two 😬 so decided to order the tags Anne is using. Loved your white and look forward to seeing your #2 heart! Don’t worry about doing your thing! Some people need to keep their rude to themselves and creators gotta create!!!!

Please, don’t stifle your creativity by thinking of rules as laws. As said in Pirates of the Caribbean, “not really a rule, more of a guideline...”🤣😂. Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦

Oh I've been noticing how the weather has improved with the lack of pollution (planes are a big part of that) it seems to be settling into traditional cycles and that's an awesome positive! Nature bounces back so well! I'm definitely doing this with my ugly papers! Oooh, you controversial rebel you 😂 I agree that rigidly sticking to 'rules ' stifles creativity
