    Thank you for restoring the table and not just slapping a coat of paint on it.

    I used to have this exact coffee table & it was my absolute favorite! Nothing better than a round low profile coffee table. You’ve got a beauty.

    One comment on sanding the poly finish. Mayfield Restorations who's done some competitions with Flipping Drawers uses just brown paper bags or Kraft paper to sand between applications, the results are great! Possibly a bit softer and less shiny looking but still very beautiful.

    Hi,
    Wow! You really were at the right place at the right time. What a sharp looking table. It isn't very often that a round mid century dining table shows up on any of the mid century furniture refinishing channels. Are you going to keep it? If so what kind of dining chairs will you be using?
    Thank you

    Can you just maintain a teak oil finish or do you have to put another finish over it? I love the smell of teak.

    • @midcenturyflipper
      @midcenturyflipper  7 місяців тому +3

      Hi! If you use oil as afinish you need to give it a rub every 6 month or so. I actually prefer that over laquer. Thanks for watching 🙂

    Beautiful job, it’s funny some of these videos , I say hey , you missed some dribbles of stain or finish coats but you were on to it! Thanks for that. I’ve seen some dribbles of stain that you can see it after it’s finished, sad! You were extremely lucky to pick that up for free.

    I enjoy your channel, but I must admit that ANY of my restore furniture channels get that scrapper out I just have to skip ahead because when you scrap it sounds like scratching a black board, I myself would much rather use citrus stripper, it is easier on my ears and arms.

      Bra fråga! Om fanetet är homogent- dvs jämnt i färg och träfiber samt ser bra ut för dig - xå är det dags för ny finnish. Olja, lack eller vax! Lycka till 🙏🏻

    I doubt that it's a dining table. It's far too short. You would need to sit on very low stools or sit cross-legged on the floor in order to sit at that table. Also, the stretchers would prevent 2 sides of the table from being used... It's less than knee height to you. Use a little common sense... Would you be able to use it as a dining table? Really? Perhaps it's a coffee table or cocktail table, for use in a living room.
