Smart move to find the IKEA table with glass. This is impeccable and satisfying to watch. Thank you
Лак, который использовался в середине прошлого века, в 60-70-80-х годах скорее всего полиэфирный. Это толстый слой как стекло. Его легче всего снимать скребком, нагревая строительным феном
Sorry, cant translate this!
The varnish that was used in the middle of the last century was most likely polyester in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. This is a thick layer like glass. It is easiest to remove it with a scraper and heat it with a construction thermal gun . You can try Dimetil too
@@Natali98061 thank you for the translation. Good observations and advise.
Thanks for participating in the “trash” challenge. I really enjoy seeing the variations in furniture styles and restoration methods from around the world.
It was such a fun Challenge! Thank you for watching 🙏🏻
Table looks fantastic now. Will there be a video showing how to restore the IKEA table that no longer has a glass top? I hate to see anything wasted!
That is one of the most stunning tables I have ever seen! I’m so happy you restored it!
Thank you!!
Forgot to add that it was amazing that you found a glaas top that just fit. Maybe you can do something for the table you got it from.
Great idea 💡
Delicious Anders👌🤗
Thank you!
I kind of dig the contrasting woods and especially those angry eyebrows. Beautiful work Anders!

The table looks lovely!
nice job ! make sure you place the small thin clear plastic disc's under the glass. this will prevent any humidity for forming water spots on the wood.
Gorgeous

This is such a cute little table. I love these old inlays.
Hi and thank you! Agree, such a talent who did this table. Turned out really good I think! Thank you for watching 🙏🏻
@@midcenturyflipper Yes, I like the new finish. I also agree that it needed a glass or plexiglass top to protect the table.
A very good looking table. In fact, a real find. This table will complement any room. Carol from California
Thanks Carol! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
Well done, it looks so much better!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Stunning
Well done!! Beautiful accent to any home.
Thank you for watching 😇
I love the underside of the table!! When you were re-gluing the legs and reinserting them I was staring at the matched grain of the underside. What kind of wood was that? And also, what kind of wood was the veneer on top? You were so smart to find the perfect glass for the top. Nice and thick. It's a lovely table now.
Pretty❤ Congrats on passing 10k🎉
Thank you Tracey!!
Beautiful work Anders, massive congrats on 10K subs!
Thank you 🙏🏻😀
Great job as always 👍
You did a great job.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Looks so gorgeous 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you 🙏🏻 It was a fun project
The veneer on the top looks like a sort of burled wood. So, it looks really cool. Well done.
Thank you
Piękny mebelek i dobra robota.
Zdrowia i powodzenia życzę.
Cant translate, sorry!
What a lovely little table. Did you ever find out who made it? How old it is? I love the inlay so much. And you couldn't have gotten any more good luck than finding that glass-topped table. What will you do with the frame left over from the other one? Another project? Congrats on 10K.
Hi and thank you for watching! I think it’s from the 30s or 40s. I coulynot fint any informationen regarding the manufacturer or designer. And yes, it’s a really beautiful lille table 😍
Love love love MCM pieces and you did a great job on this refinishing
Thank you 🙏🏻
Lovely job Anders and really relaxing video. Congratulations again on hitting 10K subs 😀👍👍
Big thanks you David!
Wow, what beautiful result. Watching from Australia love ya work🦘💯
Thank you for watching! 🙏🏻
You did a lovely job on this piece.
As others have mentioned, finding the glass top for the table was just meant to be.
Now, I would like to see what you can do with the Ikea table that you bought off of marketplace...it would be fun and the circle will be complete!
Thanks! 👍
PS: Congratulations on the 10k... next stop 100k... good luck! 🙏
I enjoyed watching this. You did a great job. You seem to choose pieces that are old and decrepit or maybe items that are very challenging. I haven't been subscribed long and I may be wrong about this. But nevertheless I still like to see restorations of old furniture.
Very beautiful, Anders. I will be looking out for the next one
Congrats on 10,000 subs! I think your channel will grow in leaps and bounds very soon. You did a great job on the table - it's now really lovely!
Thank you for the kind words Karen 🙏🏻

What about some schellack treatment?
Hi Anders, the table looks beautiful. The glass top makes it perfect. Congratulations on 10,000 subscribers. Joyce❤️🙏🇺🇸USA
Hi Joyce! Thank you, I so grateful for all you followers 😍
Beautiful! That was lucky with the glass top! IKEA to the rescue. 😂 Love the authentic (bird) noises. ❤
Ciao 🌷
Bel lavoro 👏👏👏
Bravissimo 👍
Mi diverto tanto a guardare i vostri video ❤
Grazie e un saluto da Roma 🇺🇦 ❤🇮🇹
I LOVE that brown stain you use. What is the name of it and what color? Gorgeous table and great work.
Thank you! The stain is simply called ”Dark brown”. Kind of a weird name, I know.
@@midcenturyflipper yes, I expected dark walnut or something. LOL What is the brand name?
I gave out a little scream when you set the table face down on a sheet of dirty OSB that literally had a rock on it, and then stood on it!
I know! I should have addad a blanket but no sweat - ut turned out fine 😇 Thank you for watching!
Very pretty! I'm curious, though... no varnish?
I do have a question, at 5:47 I see a hole in each leg 3/4 up from the base. Was there to be a cross brace? Just curious because overall, you did a wonderful job on this one. And adding that glass top was perfect 👍
Hi! I thought so too! Thank you for watching 🙏🏻
Just found your channel! Excellent work. Thank you for sharing your art with us!
Well done! What kind of wood is that on the table top? I don't recognize the grain...
Thank you 🙏🏻 Im not sure - it may be elm wood!
Good things are meant to be!
Thank you for another visit to your outdoor workshop amongst the rain and bird song. I had noticed the "edge" on the outer rim of the trim, and I am sure it was intended for a glass top. The finished result is very classy and elegant. Thank you! ❤
Thank you for watching
Never work against the grain with your scraper and never use that machine! You will ruin the veneer.
Wrong! i’In this case the veneer was really hard so it worked out fine! I know what I’m doing!
Oh, so now we have male models doing furniture refinishing. Thanks for making the rest of us feeling inferior. You and Mad city modern out to collaborate.😂
😂 Well, thank you for the compliment! 🙏🏻 And for watching.
Nice job!
Beautiful!
❤
YEAH!! Another challenge!! Wonderful work on the table.
