Every year, me, my car, my family, and my family's cars all gather around the youtube to watch the Dougies. It's the only time of year us and our cars are all on the same couch.
If I was loaded and could afford pretty much any car...I'd definitely get a Miura..its such a beautiful car. There is one for sale about 2 hours away from me...also in yellow. I asked the bank...they said...no lol
Yeah, Doug saying he doesn't do vintage cars was strange to me. Sure, that's not the focus of his channel but he does lots of older cars. I guess it depends on his particular definition of "vintage". I've pretty much stopped watching most of the new car videos unless it's a special new car. But I always watch the reviews of the older, quirkier cars. I think Doug doesn't always understand his audience. A lot of us aren't prospective car buyers looking for "car reviews". We watch because his videos are entertaining. And A review of a Miura is more entertaining than a review of the latest generic crossover.
@@robadams1645 I don't think that he doesn't realize that, but the fact of the matter is that more people come to him for new car reviews than those of us watching for older cars. They just get more views. I agree tho, if he stops doing older cars I'm much less interested.
Lamborghini is my favorite brand ever, so I may be biased, but that Miura review you did was just art, you can tell that even if it makes you suffer it's such a cool and ultra exciting driving experience, it's great!
What's wild is that the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V video which came out a week before the Miura video has almost half a million more views. What sort of sad, lonely, sleeps on the couch because their spouse doesn't love them person cares more about some over-priced, broken down "luxury' SUV over the Miura? Baffling how so many people are just going through life as if a Cadillac actually matters.
Although I do like the Miura a lot and do believe it’s special, I gotta admit the Escalade V is a very interesting vehicle that’s the end of an Era for Cadillac V models. Yes the Lamborghini is very special and way more valuable, however the Escalade is an amazing full sized suv with a supercharged V8. Who wouldn’t be interested in that. Also I don’t understand why you put quotes around luxury suv as the Escalade is a household name for high end, class leasing luxury.
I'm buried deep here, but I'm popping in here to hopefully be read by a Doug Minion at least: thanks for reviewing the Miura. And giving it the award. It's (one of) my dream cars and floats around that tactile opulence that I think a certain era of Car Person chases. We all have "Top 5 Car Moments" - but sitting in a Miura and the little story around how that happened is part of the tapestry of why we love cars, why I love them. Getting a walk around, a sit through, a DRIVE of the Miura through this channel augmented that experience. Thanks.
I thought it could've been a runner-up for the Quirkiest Car Award, but i also don't really question it being the worst car either, it had to go somewhere i guess.

A lot of thoughtful stuff. Like the sliding front door that automatically opens and how easy it is to access the rear cargo from the front. Will be interesting to see what GM and Ford do to compete or if Rivian can meet Amazon's demand and start selling versions of the amazon vehicle to the public.
