Doug the type of dude to sit in front of a $1M+ car but have crazy echo on his audio
It's a feature not a bug!! 😂
Doug’s bunker!
Doug has always been bad at production quality. Sitting in front of his baby is more important than audio quality otherwise he would record in an office/studio lol
Nailed it
YAMS ITS YOU
OMG the story about the old filming location. So wholesome
Totally 😇… and the conductor that recognized Doug and tooted his intro jingle 🥹😇❤️… I imagine it was a priceless moment for Doug 😌
I really miss that old location, I understand the reasons for the switch but I still wish he could start filming at that place again 😊
@@sparkgrid Take heart; he did say that he'd be filming there three or four times a year.
@@benjaminrobinson3842 I saw that, but still 2-3 times a year is unbelievably low
Alright calm down.
Thank you Doug for 10 years of the best, consistent auto content.
I’ve been following since the Jalopnik days with the 360 and Carmax Range Rover pre-first UA-cam video. 😂
Legend.
miss jalopnik A LOT
Nice. A man of culture too! I've been watching this channel since the Ferrari 360 videos too, and the early reviews!
Yup! Same here!!
it’s been great to see the insane growth since then! i still have his oversteer article plug from his early videos stuck in my head haha
As my interest in cars has tapered over the years I’ve watched fewer Doug videos but I did watch the whole Carrera GT video. I will admit I got teary eyed watching it. So cool to see you buy a car you proclaimed many times previously you could never afford.
I’m proud of you, Doug. Hope 2024 treats you and your family well
Same here, actually watched it twice lol. Seeing Doug finally owning a car he passionately loves made me teary. You can tell this guy loves the car so much. Actually Doug made me love cars again!
Carrera GT has been iconic for 20 years now.
Doug, the kind of guy who doesn't talk about his own quirks and features.
he is quirky😂
You have to experience them 😏
Quirky people let the quirks talk for themselves
His quirkiness is his best feature!
His quirks show through with every dad joke, half committed giggles, and awkward energy
I am one of the viewers who has been following you since the S-Cargo, the 360, and the famous Carmax bumper-to-bumper Range Rover. When I saw you post a video of you achieving your dream of buying a Carrera GT, I cheered out loud. It was so insanely cool to see that goal become a reality after following along for so long. Congrats on the great 2023, and we’re all looking forward to seeing what you have in store for 2024!
Yeah dude. Doug was one of my first UA-cam follows. Awesome to see the success. Like a friend I haven’t met yet.
Yup. Remember the aston donuts on the frozen lake?
Bumper to bumper was the Aston.
@@paulcarmi8130Ohh how could we forget that 😂
@@Redrash12 The Range Rover also had a bumper-to-bumper warranty. Doug is the reason why Carmax increased the price of the bumper-to-bumper warranty for luxury cars.
We want a "THISSSSSSSS" of the year! 🎉
This
2025: We could have "THISSSSSSSS".
Can we all just take a minute to appreciate that this might just be the most perfect backdrop of any sit-down video that Doug has ever uploaded?!!!!
Imagine showing Doug from 10 years ago a screenshot of this video.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how you chose the most awful & annoying way to start a comment
@@sushiboiii No, we can't.
worst echo though
I liked when he would sit in his garage and use a car part as a laptop table.
I love the way SP3 Daytona looks, it’s like a modern Testarossa
100%. Beautiful machine
Sad it's so crazy exclusive. Just make a couple thousand of them, at the equivalent price of the 488 or whatever it is underneath. $3M for an original kit car, just because they usually don't make their cars as pretty...anymore.
Right? I think the same!
i see it as more of a 330/P4
Kia/Hyundai has made great strides over the years, and the 458 coming out 14 years ago really makes me feel old 😭 timeless.
458 will always be the greatest “normal” Ferrari
Except their ridiculous $60K EV battery replacement and atrocious dealership networks
Great video
@@ericc947along with FXX, CALIFORNIA 2008, 512BB 1976, and Superleggera Ferrari.
@@jc_47 you obviously ain't paying for it out of pocket it's covered under warranty 🤡
Doug is the winner of the 2023 UA-camr of the Year Award!🥇
Absolutely no doubts about that 💯
You must be doing something right, with so many subscribers.
Doug is the type of guy to have a more exciting award show than the Oscar’s!
CHANGE MY MIND!
Well that's not a very high bar
What's these Oscar's you mention? Never heard of them 🙂
All doug needs to do now is randomly slap someone and scream "KEEP MY QUIRKS AND FEATURES OUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH"
And nobody got slapped!
Change your mind? Impossible!
“PIN number on an ATM machine” has got to be the funniest one-liner Doug has ever dropped in a video
I've been following you since the Jalopnik days, and I can say that the CGT video was the first and only time I've ever actually gotten excited for a creator achieving their dream car. I remember the CTS-V wagon videos, the Ferrari 360 videos, all that stuff. Knowing what that car meant to you gave it so much significance.
I really love the new Prius, saw one on the road for the first time and I was blown away, it genuinely looked cool, stood out from other traffic like a sore thumb. I’m excited to see how people mod these as well, great job by Toyota
Saw one on TRD Camry rims 👌🏽
Same from myself, just seen one yesterday in Nova Scotia, Canada. Looked good.
I’m seriously considering getting the 2023 Prius prime XSE. What a design on that car, looks like a vehicle from 2050. The bump to 220 hp helps as well.
Saw one today for the first time. Not a fan of the front bumper/headlights but they otherwise look pretty cool for a Prius lol
I wouldn't say they're a great looking car but they have definitely come a long way from the original Prius they started out with I would no longer be ashamed to be seen in one but you know what you get on a Prius's battery goes dead a slow Corolla
Your honesty and transparency is what kept us coming back. I can't stress this enough that I trust your reviews over many, many other car review channels or outlets. You deserve all the success your channel has brought you, have a happy 2024!
Happy New Year Doug. Bring back the old Doug score format for 2024.
Yes please!!
Yes!
Yes!
Spending 30 minutes with Doug on the last day of the year is a great way to end 2023
Happy new year’s Doug ❤️
The “PIN number on an ATM machine” joke did not go unappreciated
Best quirk of the video!
Thanks Doug, there are still some of us who prefer UA-cam and longer format videos to TikTok or UA-cam shorts. Hopefully you will still be enjoying your channel, producing more excellent content for your audience and fans.
My favorite end of year car awards. Thanks for all that you've done for car enthusiasts where having quirks can be a good thing 😊
31:54 lmao the look on doug's face when he says "a pin number on an atm machine."
It actually make a lot of sense given the problems JLR have been having with Keyless Entry.
Those PIN based immobilizers were pretty common in PSA cars of that era. Had one in a Peugeot 306 back in 1996.
Glad to see another amazing year of the Dougies!! I never comment on anything, but wanted to congratulate you for everything that has happened this year. I have personally been watching since the very beginning, even farther before the weird snail looking S-Cargo, and its been so fun to watch you grow into the great reviewer we are so lucky to have on UA-cam. Thank you for doing what Doug does best, and cheers to another year!!
"PIN Number on an ATM Machine" 😂😂😂
Doug, if you can show us more sedans/hatchbacks from the first 10-15 years of the 2000s, that’d be great.
A lot of us in Eastern Europe drive such cars (mostly European or Asian manufacturers)
Have an amazing year! 🎉
My first video of Doug was his bumper to bumper warranty of an Aston Martin 😂
Congratulations on an awesome year and overall success. Your enthusiasm is infectious and so entertaining. Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2024!
I love the amount of detail Doug covers in his videos. TikTok would never be able to match the quality we get from a long format feature like this.
Today is my birthday! Happy birthday to me and happy quirks and features to you, Doug! Also, congrats again on the CGT!
I really loved the part about your old filming location. It really puts a lot of this into scale. You’ve achieved this success because you’ve earned it bro. Love the content keep it up.
17:53 I bought my house five years ago today. After setting-up my internet, I sat down at my kitchen table and watched a Doug DeMuro video. And five years later, I’m sitting at my kitchen table watching a Doug Demuro video.
31:54 when Doug paused and smiled to say PIN number in an ATM machine…. This is why I love him, a fellow RAS syndrome enthusiast
Glad he’s calling them The Dougies now!
Thank you Doug for sharing with us your passion. Have a stunning 24!
I started following you just after your videos with the 360 and the Hummer. Just want to say congrats on your success and I love the journey we've all been through! Keep it going and don't stop being unique! Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year, Doug! Love what you're doing. Thanks for creating.
Happy new year Doug. I have been watching your “This”. For the last 7 years. Thank you!!
I miss you doing videos outside. Seems like a lot are being done in the garage there. Please start doing them outside more..
He should build a replica set in that bunker there. A backdrop would cut down the echo.
Been watching since 2017, still can't get enough! Thanks for your commitment to this channel, Doug, it's truly a gift to the automotive world. A great year it was, can't wait to see what 2024 has in store!
Thank you Doug for creating a new tradition and it seems like every year it gets better n better.
Keep up the good work 🎉
In may your years to come be plentiful of new horizons.
Happy new year! im hoping for more focus onto weird cars next year!
To be honest, I prefer when you're reviewing the car outside near (some) nature. It creates a sense of openness and having some nature in the background can really change the aesthetics of a car.
Your Carrera-GT for example looks really different, and not in a good way, in a barren, cold garage than when you would review it outside.
And yes, the weather conditions aren't always optimal but there's something about reviewing a car in an enclosed space that doesn't do the car justice, imo. It also looks kind of sketchy, despite your cargo shorts and white socks, lol.
Anyway, Happy 2024, Doug!
Absolutely agree 💯
Better lighting and some large curtains would go a long way to cure the dungeon and dragons atmosphere
Thank you Doug, for another awesome year. I'm very happy for you and for what you have come to achieve by being yourself and working hard. You deserve every bit of it and I hope you and your family have a healthy year this 2024. Happy new year!
Love the BYD trim levels. Echos of day when BMW and Volvo had informative naming conventions. Actually, the Han is pretty good looking.
Doug is the type of guy who stretches out the neck hole of brand new shirts 👕
Nothing like being able to let a shirt fall on over your head
I bought a limited edition hoodie from a distillery that was only available on site in small numbers. Immediately ripped the neck hole by stretching it, haven't worn it since 🤣
@@beastabuelos6421 😆
@@ApothecaryTerryI hate when shirts have loose neck holes. It kinda annoys me seeing Doug's shirts, I really think he does it on purpose because he knows a lot of us are OCD about things.
I wonder if it's from the lavalier mics clipping on the neck hole?
I still like the Aurora, if I found a nice one for cheap I’d buy one
Thanks for the constant entertainment Doug! I've been with you since the Aston Martin and Dodge Viper days! You have taught me so much over the years and brought lots of laughters to my days. Here's to 2024!!
Thank you very much for the amazing and quirky car reviews in 2023. Happy New Year and keep up the good work in 2024!
Great to see Doug's channel grow as it has.
I honestly thought the TukTuk was going to be Dougs worst car of the year. I'm incredibly surprised that it didn't get any mention in this video at all!
Came to the comments to write the same thing.
As a UCSD graduate and I worked in Sorrento Valley for a while, I miss seeing my old neighborhoods in your drives!!
This is for me always one of the most anticipated videos every year! Top 3 certainly! Another wonderful year for you Doug, congratulations!! It’s been a while since I discover you when you released that old TOYOTA PREVIA review!
Hey Doug how was your Sterrato configuration look like??? very curious!!
And I am one of your followers since the Jalopnik era hehe, happy new year from Spain!!
Doug, the kind of guy who has a quirks and features category on quirks and features.
Happy new year from London,UK. Hope you have a good one and hope 2024 is a quirky one!
As a drayage trucker I pulled loads from every major container port and rail yard in and around LA. But whenever I had a load from Union Pacific LATC I always had to go an extra hour early because there was at least a 50% chance it would have been broken into and I'd have to file a report 😊
Doug the kind of guy who gives himself an award for best dressed 90s Nickelodeon generic boy character.
Happy new year everybody!
Doug, I had so much fun watching this video! Thanks for making it, see you and the Cars And Bids team in 2024. All the best from Brasilia, Brazil.
Great video! Thank you and Happy New Year!
Finally, time for one of the best annual series on UA-cam!
The Doug Awards! THISSSSS...is a great way to start today!
Checked my old UA-cam account History, started watching you in April 2015 and got started on the 360 videos. I remember you getting the S Cargo, crushing the pt cruiser with the hummer and driving it through the city. Teaching your friend to drive a stick in your viper. I miss the days when we would vote for the next DougCar. Congratulations on your success and I'm looking forward to the next 9 years of viewership.
Love to watch you Doug! Been watching you long before your Aston Martin! Love you and your persona and all your content you bring to us “less fortunate” Thankyou Doug Demuro and Happy New Year ❤️
Doug is the type of guy who uses his headrests as his bed pillow
Doug is the type of guy to film multi million cars next to a dumpster.
Thanks for continually sharing your enthusiasm with us, Doug. Still so happy for you with the Carrera GT, especially all the work you had done to it to make it more usable and durable. What a realization of a dream. Hope it serves you well for years to come.
Happy new year Doug. Always my favorite new year video is your top quirky cars 😂
No 911 dakar in this list?
It's unbelievable that Doug has driven cars that are worth millions of dollars and also owns quite a few exotic cars, but he still is so nerdy and cool
Love it Dougie!, you should do more videos with this type of format
Doug is the kind of guy who doesnt own electric vehicles in his collection but tells everyone they are the best cars of the year
This filming location will only work for the dougies, the echo oddly fits but other than this, ghat echo will get old
about 2-3 days before your carrera gt video dropped, my country and my hometown saw its most horrible days with 2 incredibly big earthquakes. thankfully i wasn’t there but all i thought about was my hometown and my apartment was destroyed. then i saw your carrera gt video and i dropped everything i was doing to watch that video, i don’t know why but i was smiling like a child. maybe you didn’t inspire me with your work, but you sure did delete my pain for about 2 hours. i always thought you were one of the top channels on this website to create content ever, and seeing that video made me feel like i bought that carrera gt instead of you. happy new year’s doug, now i am waiting your italdesign columbus review. keep being humble and the quirkiest guy i ever knew.
I started watching your channel around the time you released the Alfa Romeo 4C or the Murano CrossCabrio, so almost 8 years now. I loved every single video I've watched and I've watched like 80% of them. The Carerra GT video this year brought me to tears. You deserve the very best.
I do have a question though. For the last few months I only rarely clicked on your videos that I even missed the news about the Countach until a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't know why I started missing out until I watched this video and you mentioned changing your filming location to this garage, I presume, and I think it's because the thumbnail does not convey the usual Doug video feel/style/experience. Filming in different weather conditions, with several different backgrounds with natural outdoor audio, all these things that I relate to a typical Doug video. I see the new thumbnails, you filming against a grey wall, indoors and I say I'll watch it later and I rarely do, subconsciously expecting not to have the same experience as before.
So I'm wondering if it's just me or have you noticed any sort of change in the viewership statistics after you changed location.
I appreciate it's a lot less of a hassle to film this way as opposed to before, I'm just curious whether or not I'm the only one that felt this way.
Happy new year and all the very best.
Bro the same exact thing's been happening with me, previously I clicked on every single video Doug made, even those in which I wasn't interested, just in hopes to find someone cool or interesting in the video which would make the rest of the rather boring video worth it, but now I don't even click on semi interesting videos, forgot videos on the latest ev crossover (which I admittedly did before!). Just goes to show how much a location change could ruin the overall vibe of something, it just doesn't feel right at home anymore…
Doug is the type of guy to rate a car's fun factor by its seat covers
Doug is the type of guy that doesn't know that most of the world uses keypad immobilizer to start their car.
You are amazing! Happy New Year! I am looking forward to 2024 with you!
Thanks Doug. With the success you've had, it's pretty much impossible for the theme of the channel not to shift to more high end stuff which has reduced the amount of time I spend on the channel. However, I do enjoy the cars n bids reviews and especially, videos like this. Have a great 2024.
tiktok needs to go to hell.
I have a model 3 and i absolutely love mine i have done the suspension and made it tighter and lowering it to get rid of any wheel gap and obviously swapped the wheels out for a larger wheel and tinted the all the windows and i feel like its like driving a big gocart
1, Can you do a review of the new concrete wall filming location/garage?
2, in the way you reviewed the hotel room a while ago, will you review any other non-cars?
Thanks for another great year, Doug! I’ve been with you since the 360 Modena era and I love everything you release. All the best in 2024!
I miss the old location Doug, Please do some reviews there !!! The story behind it is amazing, and thank you for your hard work man, keep it up and Happy new year
i thought he did a renovation already of his house?
Great to check your videos. They are always different and we can discover so much weird details. You’re one of my favorites cars UA-camrs. Greetings 2024 from Belgium !!
I've been watching since the CTS-V Wagon days. I still remember my shock and awe when you made your announcement video of your ownership of the GT-R R32, which at the time was my total dream car. That Carrera GT video brought tears to my eyes even though I've been watching your videos for all these years. Easily my favorite youtube channel to watch for car reviews and its been like that since I started watching. You've come so far and it makes me so happy to see all of it. Good job Doug!
Been here since bumper to bumper Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Your Carrera GT video, yup, I cried; I’ve never been so proud of someone I don’t know. You are by far the most sincere, most genuine, most trusted of all the car guys; hence why you’re the only one I watch repeatedly. Happy New Year, you deserve it.
Doug your shows are very entertaining and informative. The Geek out and Drive is a great Combo. Keep Making Shows. Happy New Year.
Watching this in the first second of 2024 here in Jakarta! Happy new year everyone! 🎉🎉
This was wonderful! Wishing you and yours a wonderful happy new year!
I always look forward to these videos! Excited for next year’s.
Thanks to you, Doug, for another year of great car reviews. Please keep doing these YT videos. I refuse to get into Tik Tok. lol. Happy holidays to you and your family!
I love this videos and hearing the story of the location. I’ve been a fan of you since your lotus stories in jalopnik and I’m amazed how big you’ve become.
Love ya Doug .. for all your quirks and features .. congrats on your success.
31:28 - The number two quirk of the year was also installed in my 1997 Peugeot 306 D-Turbo; same module, operated in exactly the same way.
I wish you all the best doug! youre my fav car content creator, mostly bc of all the weird cars you review and bc you never take yourself too serious. Please never change your unique style of reviewing cars, it has always been so entertaining.
32:23 Doug all giggly, squeaking with laughter! 😂🤣😅
I agree with Doug, the SP3 is truly an special car, from the astonishing design to the capabilities it has, it is something special that with the years ahead would be even more praised and loved
So you traded an open-air filming spot with trees, a stream and a lovely old couple who'd always say hello... for a concrete bunker? Wow.
It's been wonderful watching your Journey all these years Mr. DeMuro!
May 2024 bring even more joy and kindness to you and your family!
