The Ready or Not flashlight is more for tactical scenarios which is why the light is concentrated to the center.
It's used by cops to blind criminals when in a dark area
I use 'third person flashlight: improved'
has the same function as Dynamic Flashlight, but also isn't broken, and comes with options.

Omggg that Navi one with the AoE light is so cool
two things to add to the vmanip flashlight, you can change the texture of the light on the options on the spawn manu, and you can also bind a button to put the flashlight on your shoulder, it has the animation of you putting it on your shoulder, there's new animations for when you turn on/turn off the flashlight when it's on your shoulder, it is made more for who plays the game in first person, maybe they can fix some of the bugs that happens in third person, but it is a must have imo!
Thanks for including my Dynamic Flashlight! The thing with the shadows might actually be a default garry's mod issue due to the way of them projecting textures. Although It looks realistic enough when you go up close and see it on a ceiling and stuff. Great Video though, keep up!

I've been using the Dynamic Flashlight for a while now and I really like it. But not the fact that you can't see anything when you are too close to a wall since it would just shrink or something

The reason why the flashlight doesn't create shadows in third person is that Source only supports one projected shadow at a time. If you try to get more than one, you'll have visual bugs.

Hi, I'm the author of Grunge Flashlight and Ready or Not Flashlight. The grunge flashlight isn't actually from Contagion lol, it was just me combining a bunch of patterns and shapes to make a low quality looking flashlight.
However I did port the Contagion flashlight over to GMoD if you're curious

It sucks that some light mods like a lamp that lights up an area wouldn't actually cast shadows with objects or walls. I'm guess that's just source being old but i could be wrong.

I think this is just a weird issue that can't be fixed easily, sadly I don't think this will be fixed soon as it's not a major issue and is more trouble than it's worth.
