There is an easy way to prevent things from looking uncanny. Prioritize a stylized look over realism (especially for video game themed stuff), and resist the desire to make everything uncharacteristically fluffy just because that means more easily marketable plushies.

Their very advertisements for the actual game does not even use the texture pack and animation style to begin with. They have been false advertising since the beginning. This is no better knowing they don't even learn from their original sin.
I guarantee you, the reason that they didn't make it an animated movie is because they didn't want it to look like a film length UA-cam video. Because the animated Minecraft UA-cam scene is already so high quality, they needed a way to make the movie have its own visually distinct identity. It's a weird branding thing they do. Also, the celebrity cast wouldn't be able to have their real faces be recognizable on a Minecraft model, and Hollywood is obsessed with that.
Thank You, It doesn't need to be completely faithful to the game to make it good, they just need a couple references, good cast, and a understandable script
It feels like they made it live action just so they could have celebrity cameos, and then made the models and textures hyperrealistic to fit the actors. The characters should fit the movie, not the movie the actors.
Or MAYBE, they also wanna stand out from the hundreds of youtube minecraft animated movies. Also, money is important in life, ofc they won't make a movie unless it's profitable, duh. Would you go to work for 12 hours if you didn't get paid?
@@thenobledarkshinobi5457 they wont profit from this other than criticism and bad pr from their veteran fans who are obviously at an older age range compared to the target audience this movie was made for. (Note: I have interviewed some of the local target audience and not a single one of them enjoyed the trailer)
@CatalanRG Exactly!!!! Us "Gen Z" "Millennials" and even the generation before should be the main target audience because of older UA-camr such as Ssundee, DanTDM, etc. They would profit and benefit SO much more had they targeted veteran-aged players with a nostalgia bring back rather than Gen Alpha who hasn't gotten to grow up with the game and make it what it is today!
The plot will be exactly like this: Little kid with the tesseract will find it when doing whatever with the rest of the cast, the tesseract will guide them towards the portal, they discover minecraft world, tesseract is a mcguffin that piglins will at some point steal to be in the overworld without a problem, main cast realizes "wait we can do anything, let's be goofy and whacky" and they build goofy and whacky contraptions to defeat the piglins, they get the mcguffin back and they decide to live in the minecraft world instead of the real world Also is worth noting, that tesseract looks similar to the purple cube the illager from minecraft dungeons has
Ok. But can we talk about how the starter music doesn’t sound _anything_ like actual Minecraft music? It’s got that creepy reverb type fade in, then… whatever happens after that.
Wdym the music is really good and do you think our normal minecraft music would match it plus I could see them using music boxes later and playing minecraft not legends music
Imagine they decided to make an animated sequel and call it Minecraft: CGI Edition or Minecraft: Animation Edition and they renamed this movie to your suggestion nonononono. They rename the current film to Minecraft: Disgustingly Realistic Edition
NOBODY seems to be talking about this... But is anyone else very _confused_ that the CREEPER only shows up _once_ in the whole trailer, and its specifically a shot where the camera isn't focused on it? Doesn't exactly inspire confidence that the literal mascot of the game is barely present at all.
@@WhoInterpretedDreams Don't be pedantic... You can have creepers appear more in the movie without them being the MAIN focus. 🙄 I'm not saying that Creepers should be the main villain or something dumb like that. They shouldve just made the actors animated. If the plot was that humans were brought into minecraft, the panic they have for the first few minutes as they get used to their blocky anatomy wouldve been a nice touch. I remember many old minecraft parodies doing this and those were so good
this has made me realizes that warner bros are basically noob compared to the fanbase they are not players they are overgrown children. japan is more mature and even they get it right . i swear Hollywood studio working under them, they need fanbase training wheels
More human-shaped humans, smaller cubes, mystery item (the blue cube), Hermes Boots, and 3-block tall humans.. This is starting to seem a lot more like 3D Terraria.
1:04 I believe the reason the nether portal is blue is because it's not actually a nether portal. This movie seems to have a plot of people being brought into Minecraft from the real world, so I would assume the blue portal is what brings them there.
Even with the problem of the size of items dropped, you COULD make them bigger, just hold them with an open hand, and obviously a child has a smaller hand than an adult, and STILL FITS ON HIS PALM, there's just no excuse to why they are so small
@@MrPondo17 the crafting table doesn't really need to change, yes the grid would need to be a little bigger, but there's plenty space to expand that grid
Hit the nail on the head about them not committing to the block design. The animals (especially the llama) having rounded noses, along with other details, amongst a blocky body is so freaky to me
I really hope they make a joke where there’s like an trade with someone that requires 64 gold blocks or smth and then they struggle to even Carry 1 gold block then Steve comes along and drops 63 gold blocks
Legitimately would be funny. Also wouldn't mind Steve casually carrying a bucket of lava while the other characters are scared as shit he might spill it on them
Well, actually,if you watch the video; he is actually admiring the designs instead of criticizing them. The only reason he would is if he wanted attention from the “people who think know what the movie will look like but don’t” critic people
I think everyone just forgot about the fact that creepers were made from a texture bug from trying to make the pig mob. Which means that the "The Explosive Pig" sign is referring to the creeper
(Warning: 🤓) So the plot (outside of the Jumangi stuff) seems to take inspiration from Minecraft Legends, in which the plot is about a piglin invasion (although it takes place way before the base game). In that game, the reason the piglins don’t zombify in the Overworld is because they inhale spores from Nether fungus. The figure with purple eyes is also from Minecraft Legends and is a piglin witch called the Seer (she’s also possessed by a parasitic ender demon which is why she has purple eyes but that’s a whole other story), according to some leaks she’ll be called Malgosha in the movie and she’ll be the antagonist. While she wasn’t exactly the main antagonist in Legends, she was implied to be responsible for the events. However the movie won’t be fully canon. Edit: Also the boots are a reference to the Boots of Swiftness artifact from Minecraft Dungeons
Mc dungeons? Had that tesseract before Minecraft legends btw Minecraft legends suck and mc dungeons atleast is good it's underated it also is a great start to arpg genre for kids plus it's actually really good with detail and there's lots more content like vine monsters wind illagers all types it's sad that people forgot about the gem and they only remember the shit like mc legends. The cube may be the same as mc dungeons as it has the power aspect that's why the piglins want it and mc duns tesseracts in mc legends and there's the fact the cube relates to the void dlc in mc dungeons THE CUBE IS THE OPENING OF THE END. In mc dungeons
@@old_riv Sort of. The official canon that the spin-off games are a part of are like an optional canon that players can choose to go along with or they can make their own stories
The chandelier, the boots and even the trees. All of them are from modded minecraft. It's like they just took reference from a picture they saw and came into conclusion that "Yes, this is Minecraft". Damn, this is so heartbreaking...
To all people claiming that certain items are from certain games. Please take note that a lot of Minecraft mods are from another games in the first place. I'm saying this as the Minecraft movie wouldn't take those reference from another games after all.
BRO!! i was looking for for someone who say "Uncanny valley" for a week since movie trailer dropped. it just so perfect to find the word from this channel
9:56 the purple eyed thing is the piglin shaman from minecraft legends (keep in mind this movie was in production around its release) it kinda just buffed the other bosses in the game and sent them out to be killed by the hero, but never left the nether itself
or the charecters cam e threw the eather portal and tried to come back by building the same portal that made them come to minecraft. But minecraft doesn't recognize reality
I feel like some random bum came up with the entire idea and script, and then assigned people who were really good at their job, and people who weren't, on different sections. Almost all the piglins look great, and their bastion environment. Although, the casting is mediocre, figuring out crafting/items didn't work out well, and some animators did a bad job on different mobs. There's no way they all worked in perfect unison because this movie trailers gives off vibes of a warm pool with way too many cold spots.
I think the chain-connected buckets aren't meant to be an item from any of the games, I think it's part of a scene where our main characters are new to crafting and are experimenting by putting together ingredients and seeing what comes out - like it wasn't something they intended to make, they're just learning the crafting system and don't know the recipes yet. This is, I think, supported by the fact that Jason Momoa's "recipe" is a bunch of bullshit haphazardly thrown about instead of being placed carefully in the grid squares. *EDIT: Called it.*
But then like have it actually be from the fame and have it build up the characters are making items for the first time and it's all cool so Jason mamoa tries it and then nothing happens because it is wrong, maybe have it like just spit all the items and they fly all over the place. Don't just make up an item to be like hecrafted the wrong thing. Like the issue isn't he got crafting wrong the issue is he made an item that doesn't exist
If they really wanted live action, the best thing would have been mostly animated and partly live action. What I mean is: movie starts with real actors in the real world, somehow they find a portal and go through. When they enter the Minecraft world EVERYTHING IS ANIMATED, so they turn into Minecraft characters with skins resembling the way they looked irl. At the end of the movie they could even make a joke where they go back to the irl world and some random villager wanders through the portal with them and becomes a real person.
This what I thought off too. Just why did they have it to be like this. It could have been like the Lego movie showing real actors at the prologue or end of the movie
That's a really good idea. I think I heard from PhoenixSC's video that the actors have that particular clothing to resemble Minecraft skins, but I think the other way around would make much more sense. There's no way I'd figure out on my own that it's supposed to resemble existing Minecraft skin clothing, but if they started with real world clothes and it was transformed into a Minecraft skin, I think a lot more people would catch on.
How to fix the movie: 1. Animate players/humans 2. Make the animals a little less weird. Something about the eyes and fur I think, since the piglins and ghasts look good in the same style, and they have fiery glowing eyes and skin (edit: also maybe make the wood and blocks slightly less realistic, make it sorta shader-esque.)
1.change Steve like Idk if they are trying to show that the Steve is old because many years passed or something like that I think that the trailer could be better Comparing this to story mode Minecraft is 💀 Because Minecraft story mode is 10x better
They need to get rid of mixel style/blocks that make no sense Make it so the piglins use golden tools Give context to why piglins aren’t zombie piglins like they are supposed to be in the overworld Fix the terrain Fix the height of the trees Fix THE BLOCK SIZES fix the inconsistence with the blocks
8:24 When you mentioned Slamacow, it filled me with so much nostalgia. His style and animations were so ahead of its time - I used to watch it over and over again back in elementary school. Great analysis. I really hope WB get their shit together and do it from scratch, otherwise it will be the biggest commercial failure.
It would’ve been so cool to learn the lore of Minecraft, past the game, through a movie, but instead they had to bring real humans into this. Like he said, learning the lore of the piglins would’ve been so sick
We couldve had steve caving, fighting mobs, exploring dimensions, slaying bosses and most importantly, feature HEROBRINE! The main antagonist. The potential was wasted for a target audience of toddlers
Oh man, Herobrine would have been the best antagonist. 😮 what if they did a movie on the origin of Steve and herobrine. Or perhaps Herobrine returns to Minecraft. They could incorporate so much game lore.
@@DakumunDahBat yes as a joke reference. Just because sanic has breif cameo in both sonic movies doesn't make him a part of the world entirely. It's just a fun nod. I would like Herobrine in the movie as an easteregg

There are people out there that say that they made this for kids, but I wouldn't even wish this on someone elses spawn. And these are people that hypocritically get mad over small numbers in sports, never played Minecraft before or played once and quit because they mined diamond with a stone pickaxe. Don't the kids deserve to be introduced to a time-treasured, multi-faceted game through cinema with the best we can offer? Do we really just 'don't give a shit' over at Hollywood?
I agree. The lazy, it was made for kids excuse doesn't sit with me either. Back then, things were made for everyone and they was so much better for it.
The mario movie did it PERFECT instead of making a live action they made it all an animation, AND ITS BEUTIFUL IN EVERY WAY, had they done the same with the minecraft movie there would be no hate
I like how you say "instead of making it live action" like that was ever a consideration. It wasn't, fyi. All of these movies should start out like that.
i really wanna hope it's one of those movies like with the mario movie or even the sonic movie where i was skeptical at first but then i watched it and it was really good!! probably won't happen but one can dream
i think it`s very interesting that mojang seems to push the piglins as being the "antagonists" of minecraft, in both legends and apperantly the movie. I don`t mind it, but i always thought their plan would be to have the illagers as the antagonists
If we're going by the Legends timeline, the Illagers were created from a group of Villagers who desired to fight along side the hero. Maybe they are thinking Piglins first and save the Illagers for a potential second movie.
From what I've gathered, piglins are more self destructive than actually villains, like some of them are smart and have goals of domination but the majority just follow orders and dislike creativity, that's why there are less of them in modern minecraft that there were in legends. I think I remember one of the developers saying minecraft doesn't really have villains just misunderstood people, but maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah like Piglins only want gold. If you have it, they love ya. Illagers on thr other hand wants you dead. Wants the villagers dead. Johnny wants all dead
The Exploding Pig sounds like a tavern name, and is probably a nod to the fact that creepers originated from a mistake when creating pigs. Also my guess for the movie's plot is that it's basically Jumanji and they need to collect a bunch of those Teseract looking cubes to go home. I'm so excited to see this monstrosity crash and burn...
I think that the reason they made it live action was because they thought that older audience wouldnt watch an animated movie as it seemed childlike. Like they imagined how wierd it would be if you were watching a minecraft Animation in theaters. But still, I would have preffered animated
I've heard a lot of people say "you don't like it because you're not the target audience (9 year olds) but honestly? The majority of minecraft fans are adults. I also hate the thought that "made for kids" means you can just make soulless, put your kids in front of it so you can have a break for an hour garbage.
my eight year old hated this and i have heard his friends at school say it looks bad so they missed that too also i have heard a lot of commenters say there kids hated it some even said the kids said its just not Minecraft
I definitely agree with the last part. A kids movie, should just mean "A movie who's target audience happens to be kids" not "A movie who's target audience is kids, so it's gonna have less quality stuff."
😂 same my 12 year old and 6 old, I think there first game was minecraft or Mario. They both hated the trailer and said this wasn't minecraft and they weren't planning on watching it
I think the main reason why mediocre fluff is made for kids is because it doesn't really matter if the kids like it, it matters if their parents *think* their kids will like it. I was taken to the movies as a kid when my parents wanted to do something fun and relitively affordable (our local theater was a godsend with discounts and general quality. Reclining seats, little trays to put your food on, lovely stuff.) But usually, it ended up being a 2 hour long nap. Slept through every single movie, kid, adult, if I thought it was boring, I was napping. But the tickets were still bought, and the company still got the money. But having spoken to nine year olds, they know when something sucks. They're literally just little humans with less vocabulary. Pently of people will like it purely because MINECRAFT MOVIE!!! But if even the target audience is side eyeing the movie, they've done something wrong. But parents don't necessarily know that. They know their kid likes minecraft, and that they could spend time together watching something their kid would enjoy.
Sony Pictures: When it comes to Worst Film Adaptation, nobody will ever beat _The Dark Tower._ Warner bros: Hold my beer! And the keys to the brewery, while you're at it.
Predicting the plot: These people get stuck in the game by the portal, want something from the piglins to allow them to use the Tesseract. They go to Steve for help, and Steve teaches them how to craft and stuff. Everybody will be disappointed, the end.
April 4th is also "Tell a lie day" and that is the only thing that's keeping me from saying that this is a parody trailer to have everyone's eyes on it so everyone talks about minecraft for a little while longer.
Something I’d like to see is maybe half way through the movie, the characters become animated from eating or drinking something like suspicious stew for example
Can I just say… a lot of people are hating on the nether portal being blue but I don’t think its supposed to be a nether portal. Think about it. It’s a portal from our world (probably) so why would it function as a normal nether portal? Im not saying the trailer was good, just that this is the smallest thing to complain about.
9:33 i think minecraft mentioned that they never meant to create creepers. They were making pigs and the texture just randomly changed and they came up with creepers so basically explosive pigs lol. I like this easter egg tbh
I don't get why people disliked minecraft story mode. It's animations look just like the legendary early 2010's fan animation. The graphics look like minecraft, the lighting and effects look neat and everything is just so good. And man, the story and soundtrack is soooooo goooood and the gameplay is pretty good for what it wants to be. It's all around a childhood classic
Glad someone noticed the stair issue, that building looks AI, but the bacground one looks ripped from the game. If this had been fully animated once they leave the real world, they wouldnt have made the mobs so gross to match real life actors 😢
4:40 : The boots shown there is a Artifact in Minecraft Dungeons which gives the Player a Speed Boost for 4-5 seconds maybe this movie is also connected to Minecraft Dungeons.
The purple eyed thing in the Nether is the seer from legends and the tesseract looking thing is the orb of dominance from both games, so they seem to be heavily leaning on the spinoffs, especially with the whole piglin invasion storyline.
@@netherwarrior6113The Orb of Dominance is pink and yellow, not blue. The current movie draft was in production around the same time Minecraft Legends was in development, leading them to borrow ideas.
@@sboy2044 I think I mixed up the orb in legends. The orb of Dominince is in legends, it’s just the seer has it. The orb I was thinking of is the one the player that that lets them make new troops. Thanks for the correction
the reason nether portal is light blue(being extra specific that it's light blue for people who is colorblind) is because that's not a nether portal. it's probably a portal that links between real world and the game I think?
It's mixels. It's next level mixels. The live actors, in a hyperreal-blocky environment, with the pixelated items, is the advanced form of having sprites with different pixel sizes in a game
could you imagine how fun it would be if they were real humans at the start and then when they went in the portal they turned into minecraft characters, kinda like Jumanji. That kind of dynamic is really fun to watch
4:05 I might be wrong, but maybe it's because the main characters/players are sleeping. when you sleep in minecraft, mobs don't move normally even though time moves really fast
They don't have to make items that small. There is literally nothing preventing them from having them be pretty big and then shrinking to go into an inventory. Nothing. At all. Also the blue portal is a completely new movie device to bring real humans in Minecraft, which is what that glowing cube did. Thought that one was obvious. Edit: The big glaring problem for me is that it doesn't look like Minecraft. Even ignoring the fact that we have live action actors (somehow), Minecraft looks nothing like that and I don't like the fully animated scenes either, the only thing I can agree on is the piglins looking good. There are so many additions, changes and they've crushed the style so bad to make it realistic that barely anything from the videogame is in there intact. I noticed they use a lot of extra geometry and adding smaller blocks to objects (like the trees you mentioned or that sword) to add detail, which is THE WORST SOLUTION TO ADDING DETAIL TO THE BLOCK GAME IMAGINABLE. It's the most destructive, soulless solution, changing the core of the visuals and tampering with the atmosphere for the sake of that ultra-realistic texture pack look. I hate this decision, it's quite literally removing the blocks by adding more to smooth them out, what's the point of Minecraft if it's less blocky and using techniques like the fur or realistic animal faces to blur the blocks??
Additionally, I think the Minecraft movie should've finally put together a cohesive, explorable, bonified lore instead of giving us random fantasy elements with names that just exist. This should've been the purpose of the movie. Steve falling into Minecraft and going through the world, meeting some characters along the way and learning what has happened, leading up to defeating the Ender Dragon or even having a new twist with some original villain instead of that. The movie could've finally tied the dimensions and different creatures together through events, both current and ancient. It's a movie for crying out loud, you're telling a story. This Jumanji-ass generic "sucked into the videogame world" premise should die. I am sick and tired of experiencing it over and over.
Oml why the hell people not referencing mc dungeons. Example the boots is a ability that gives move speed like the flying boots then the tesseract the arch illager uses which has something to do with the void then there's the ender thing if you look closely it has a staff kinda resembles the staff the arch illager has pair that with the ender eyes he/ she is tryna get the tesseract for the power
@@SansUndertaleHyperRealisticlegends is bad admit that dungeons is way better people actually play it for fun not for some quick cash grab mc dungeons also has way more content that was removed from Minecraft itself but Minecraft and mc dungeons are hard to review as both are super seperate as terms of gameplay and story

Ya wanna know why the piglins don't zombify? Because this isn't really a minecraft movie. This is a minecraft legends movie. That's why they're invading the overworld, and that's where many of the revised piglin Designs come from. That's why villages are so much cooler. 11:25 Tbh they could’ve made a really cool movie for Minecraft by having herobrine in it and making it almost a scary movie from it. also it would be way better if it was completely animated and not a mix of both real life and animation. They could still keep jack black in the blue shirt, just add some video editing and some white contacts and then you actually have a plot that would connect to older gamers rather than just the 9 year olds. They could have some of the nostalgia of the Herobrine sightings
yeah! I haven't even played legends, and apparently like half the damn plot is inspired by that game. why did they reference the new games instead of the old more fun things, like herobrine, or even... Story mode.
It’s okay, remember that we have Minecraft Storymode: the Amulet coming to show how it’s done. Also at 8:25 that’s my all time fave animation from back then.
4:26 Ok, gonna play devils advocate here. THIS IS NOT A CHANDLEER. I need to give credit where credit is due and this movie looks like it doesn't introduce new objects to the Minecraft world. They are used in different ways but everything already exists in Minecraft. For example, that crafting recipe is two buckets and a chain. Chained together? Sure, but still 2 buckets and a chain. That CHANDLEER actually looks like a Trapdoor, 4 Candles and a Chain. Gotta give them props to that.
6:50 My theory for this scene is the gang have been instructed on how to use the crafting table then Jason tried putting random stuffs on it then it crafted a random stuff which is the twin bucket thingy..this also shows that Jason is the "free and outgoing" character in the movie
I think Minecraft would work so much better as an animated movie. It just feels out of touch and unconfident to make MINECRAFT into a live action styled movie, especially since most of it has to be animated anyways. It probably would've been cheaper to just make a stylized animated movie. I feel like Warner Bros doing this instead of the likely cheaper, better option shows disrespect towards animation and a lack of confidence in what's being adapted. I really hope that the animated show being worked on with Netflix will be good. The piglins which should've been the most messed up looking things end up being the least freaky things next to the "normal" animals. I don't think the movie can be fixed because 99% of the movie is cgi. It was different with Sonic because the only thing being changed was Sonic himself, so unless they delay the movie a couple years we're just gonna have to settle with what we have, which we know won't be good.

So the plot (outside of the Jumangi stuff) seems to take inspiration from Minecraft Legends, in which the plot is about a piglin invasion (although it takes place way before the base game).

There's no way they all worked in perfect unison because this movie trailers gives off vibes of a warm pool with way too many cold spots.
a pool where you dont know how much is pool and how much is piss
Yeah
If they really wanted live action, the best thing would have been mostly animated and partly live action. What I mean is: movie starts with real actors in the real world, somehow they find a portal and go through. When they enter the Minecraft world EVERYTHING IS ANIMATED, so they turn into Minecraft characters with skins resembling the way they looked irl. At the end of the movie they could even make a joke where they go back to the irl world and some random villager wanders through the portal with them and becomes a real person.
That's what I thought, too. I mean, what you said has a much better plot and setting than what I see in the trailer.
Space Jam, got it.

1. Animate players/humans
2. Make the animals a little less weird. Something about the eyes and fur I think, since the piglins and ghasts look good in the same style, and they have fiery glowing eyes and skin

If we're going by the Legends timeline, the Illagers were created from a group of Villagers who desired to fight along side the hero. Maybe they are thinking Piglins first and save the Illagers for a potential second movie.
From what I've gathered, piglins are more self destructive than actually villains, like some of them are smart and have goals of domination but the majority just follow orders and dislike creativity, that's why there are less of them in modern minecraft that there were in legends.

the "its a kid movie" argument is so old when you had stuff like ratatouille or incredibles 1

This deserves more likes
9:59 the thing with purple eyes is most probably seer from minecraft legends
Oml why the hell people not referencing mc dungeons. Example the boots is a ability that gives move speed like the flying boots then the tesseract the arch illager uses which has something to do with the void then there's the ender thing if you look closely it has a staff kinda resembles the staff the arch illager has pair that with the ender eyes he/ she is tryna get the tesseract for the power
@@deadman3617mc dungeons is ok same with legends but normal mc is just way better
@@deadman3617 yeah but mc story mode is my fav spinoff
@@SansUndertaleHyperRealistic Yuh mc story good I got it platinumed
You're so right about that sheep being on an uncanny valley level I feel like I'd genuinely have nightmares about that sheep if I was a kid watching this 😭
5:25 If you need infinite water you can take this, fill it with water and make an infinite source wherever you want
Or just craft two buckets..
@-JacksonSwain- yea that works too if you are lazy
3:54 flash backs to hermit craft season 8
Mumbo is the moon big????
@@TheProudStaris it?
8:10 that is the thing they want to appeal to a wider non Minecraft demographic and thus have done what many have done before. Alienating their main audience
Ya wanna know why the piglins don't zombify?
Because this isn't really a minecraft movie.
This is a minecraft legends movie.
That's why they're invading the overworld, and that's where many of the revised piglin Designs come from. That's why villages are so much cooler.
Infact, probably 50% of the otherwise baffling choices in this movie are explained Just by that.
9:17 the exploding pig is referring to the creeper
8:03 sadly, I think mojang wants to make it animated but those corrupt *ssholes at Microsoft are stopping them
4:14 thats a warped fungus 4:39 that some speed boots from minecraft dungeons 9:56 thats from minecraft legends (idk what its name is) 0:51 thats an azalea tree i think 2:26 thats a beacon
It's all over the place like is it the game or using the overall lore???
For azalea trees, they have pink flowers, not orange

blue portals? piglins attacking the overworld? this isnt minecraft, its minecraft legends. they took the game no one played and turned it into a movie
11:25
Tbh they could’ve made a really cool movie for Minecraft by having herobrine in it and making it almost a scary movie from it. also it would be way better if it was completely animated and not a mix of both real life and animation.
Story mode.
It would be really great to have Steve and Herobrine fight!
The common mistake is the nether portal isn't blue, but this probably isn't the nether portal and it's probably just exclusive to the movie concept.
I like the bucket recipe because he uses both iron ingots and iron nuggets which are used to make both chains and buckets. That's cool
its all from Minecraft legends you know the Minecraft game that lasted about two weeks before just quietly being shelved
Minecraft movie trailer was so bad that fundy remembered his password
I’ve gotta say, despite everything else, the song choice was perfect. Magical Mystery Tour fits Minecraft so well
10:13 If you look really hard in the background where it shows the nether you can see a piglin falling in the back
6:50 My theory for this scene is the gang have been instructed on how to use the crafting table then Jason tried putting random stuffs on it then it crafted a random stuff which is the twin bucket thingy..this also shows that Jason is the "free and outgoing" character in the movie
almost got a heart attack after seeing a fundyLIVE notification

The reason why the portal is blue is because they’re not the same portals, the nether portal and the blue portal are both separate portals
8:27 they should make a mc animation titled, “A better Minecraft movie”
