22 comes with quickshifter up/down stock. And yes you can track it and carve up twisties with ease, just sort out the fully adjustable suspension (- compression on rear shock).
I am glad I got hold of a version from 2020 with the old dash. I really like it's look with rounded rpm gauge. The new screen looks too generic IMO, like you see on every new bike nowdays... Also the plus version has a quickshifter (I own that one)
As an owner of a 2021 model, the owner of that bike set the TFT display on “dark mode” which makes it harder to see the information displayed during the day. You also didn’t mention that this bike has 43mm Showa SFF-BP forks which is usually installed on highly capable supersport bikes. It ain’t no Öhlins, but I’ve heard that it’s almost as good as one. Get this bike on the twisties and you will see that it is a very nimble and capable bike.
A liter bike as a daily rider for small Asians in Asian cities??? Certainly not in Thailand as our archaic law still don't allow MC of ANY displacement to get on the paid expressways and motorways.
Best bike to ride on a daily? I'd take the Katana! Just bought one 2 months back and it's comfortable, upright, powerful and looks the part. Just need to refuel more often 😂
Considering the multiple times I've almost been hit by Honda Clicks while crossing the pedestrian crossing, I quite have reservations for that old Honda tagline 😂
The aggressive peg position rules it out for me. Had to sell my PaniR and R1M because my damaged ankles/legs don’t work on them anymore. My so called daily is a GSA 1250 now. Does the Katana have a more relaxed leg position? I haven’t seen one at dealers around me. I’m leaning to the BMW RnineT for my Thailand bike.
You should consider Honda Shadow! It's reliable, it's flat robust torque curve for easy overtakes without having to downshift and it's very comfortable
Liter bike in Asia- what’s the point? You would need to park it in Australia to use the upper rev range safely- that and you wouldn’t even know where the safety horn is because it wouldn’t be used. I would have expected that a mid range bike would be perfect for cities instead of a liter bike. If you do have decent roads to open it up on then it would be perfect, haven’t been to the Phillipines so I can’t comment on the roads there ( other than most city roads are the same around the world). Great review and scenery 😃
Same, the katana looks horrendous, and the cb1000r is just a better street bike than the mt10 to me at least, power is predictable after 6k rpms and bellow that it's mellowed
Nice review! I am looking to get a bigger bike, and this is on my short list. Do you have the Indian FTR in the Philippines? If so, can you do a review once you get a chance? Thanks, and keep up the great work!
Need a suggestion real quick! I cant decide between the 3,000km ridden CB1000r 2nd hand (older model without the TFT dash) vs brand new XSR900. Honda is $4,000 cheaper due to its 2nd hand nature. Much appreciated.
bruh i'd rather use a rebel 500 than that gas guzzler. i've borrowed one for a month and it consumes like my car compared to the rebel 500 which is around 20~25kmpl
Bro those flashing lights you had in B roll are too much. I don't have epilepsy but it hurt my eyes and if I did have epilepsy I'd probably be seisuring right now.
Objectively, it is a matter of a habit. And what do you use more often? A horn or a side indicator? And which one of those is close to your thumb on the Honda? So yes, Honda got it right.
@@jaromor8808 ofcourse the lower one is closer. Thats why Yamaha corrected it. I've experienced this awkward positioning 1 to 2 times and it was scary, frustrating and dangerous.
I don't like vanilla. Give me a double scoop of rocky road and mint chip with an extra swirl of chocolate sauce sprinkles and a cherry on top. In other words, the fireblade!
TFT screens do have a place in our daily lives, but to be honest, for my own personal taste, I don't think you can beat an analogue speedo for clarity.
The looks would really depend on the beholder. I really like the look then add the single sided swing arm and inline 4 engine. However, it's not the best bang for buck as the new xsr900 would smoke this in tech (quickshifter, autoblip) and performance. All that and its 136k cheaper. Bring the cb1r black edition here and lower the price, only then Honda can take my money. ✌🏻

Ride to malaysia then you can unleash the beast of 1 litre bike on the expressway
And I thought our 400cc law was outdated. Thats rough.
Lol, and I thought only Vietnam has that stupid law.
Didn't know that even a motorcycle heaven like Thailand has that shit.
If I understand correctly that’s just the toll roads right? I avoid the toll roads with cars also 😅
@@charliestoybox2099 Yes, all toll roads in Thailand prohibit MC, and all the flyover bridges on the right hand (faster) lanes too.

Another feature of this bike:
A massive power dip in the mid-range… right at the rpm range most people love to use, i.e., 4.5k to 6k
This the inherent problem of short stroke high revving engines. Most riders will not use It's full power.
A tune will fix that.

I prefer the looks of the Honda CB650R and it is well adequate for a fun ride.
I won't be upgrading to a CB1000R.

Can you review the 2023 harley davidson breakout 117? I hope that you can notice this message thank you
Can someone explain why you would want a litre bike for City riding? Wouldnt the 650 do the trick just fine?

That awkward positioning of the horn button is going to make riders crash. Yamaha corrected this on the gen3 MTs.

It is made primarily for countries where people use indicators more often than the horn.
That's why Honda placed the indicator closer to your thumb.

Honda making meh bikes again. Somebody should tell the engineers to snort some lines from time to time, live a little, make fun bikes again.
