Congratulations to the masters athletes for such a demonstration of quality running in Beijing, with GB winning. We salute you! Thanks to the WMA and the IAAF for making this happen and we look forward to full participation in London 2017. Peter Kennedy, BMAF

I'm 62 in 5 months and hoping to go sub 2:20. I should be able to go sub 2:30, but 2:20 is a big ask. But you have to set your goals high, otherwise there's little satisfaction in achieving them, and all the more satisfying when you do.

Curious as to why no medal presented to 2nd and 3rd place finishers in 400 or 800ms here?

Gonna have to run in these big races. I am 57 and I can go sub 2.20. Just have to find out when and where this stuff is held. Never find out about this stuff. Only races on iaaf i can find are road races.

Masters Championships, Birmingham, over weekend of Sept 18th and 19th. Enter by Sept 2nd. Would like to do 100, 200, 400 and 800, but I think best to save myself for just the 800. Here's the timetable:

Great running. I wonder how many of them will be racing when they are 75. That is when I START my serious Masters running. I call myself a Mature Master runner, especially a Mature Master Miler who be eligible for over 75 records on June 12, 2019. I was born 6 days after D-Day by design. Stephen Lee Ethridge.

  • @shreenatha464

Why don't they give medals to these Masters athletes ... they are depicting self-realization of the capability of human race ... The medals could be smaller and lighter than the medals for the normal world championships
