Algeria's Taoufik Makhloufi wins the gold medal in the men's 1500m event in the Olympic Stadium at the London 2012 Olympic Games (7 August).
Makhloufi was followed by Manzano (USA) winning the silver medal and Iguider (NAR) winning bronze.
Since 1896, athletics has been on the programme of each edition of the Games of the Olympiad. Its presence on the Games programme has allowed its popularity to increase across the world. This popularity was also strengthened by the creation of the IAAF in 1912. Women's events appeared for the first time at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam, while the men's programme was standardised as of the 1932 Games in Los Angeles. Although at the beginning women were authorised to participate in only some events, today their programme is almost identical to that of the men.

alhfgsp yes but i think he didn't manage his speed very well overall the race, he stucked all that power and unleashed it a bit late, maybe if he did start building that acceleration sooner he would have put Makhloufi in real danger! at 7:23 you can see him at the last position when the bell rings, if he managed to be in the middle of the race, then it would have been another story

Regardless of whether Makhloufi is clean or not, I was delighted to see him repeatedly thwart Kiplagat's attempts at cutting him off. Three times he tried, three times Makhloufi elbowed him as if to say "Not going to happen." Kiplagat did it to the Qatar athlete in the semi's and did it to Kiprop earlier in the year in Doha(?) often making them clip his heel and stumble. There is getting someone in a box and there is just plain cutting across on them.

Centrowitz must have been heartbroken to miss out on a medal by such a small margin, but that drove him over the following four years and he came back to win gold in the 1500 at the 2016 Olympics, the first time an American had won gold in that event since 1908.

Noureddine Morsli is a legend in athletics, world champion, Olympic and African champion, record holder in 1500 and mile, as well as Nordin Morsli is a legend in morals with the testimony of world champions and great coaches and his whole life was disciplined without additions and the last thing Morsley retired as a great champion and rejected all temptations and positions in international bodies He lived in America and trained in America and completed his studies there and returned to his country and worked as a high official with the rank of state clerk or minister interested in elite sports.
      Learn from Morsley's career
And the International Olympic Committee was supposed to make a video of the great world champion Aouita, as well as make a video of the path of the world and Olympic champion Noureddine Morsli, but by virtue of Hisham having a position in the Olympic Committee, they made this video and denied the great history that Morsli made when the Al-Grouj champion was still a young child learning the alphabets of sports Athletics🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿

Manzano's kick was amazing. Obviously I knew who was going to win, but during introductions one always predicts. When I saw the Americans I was like "here are your two also-rans". Not only was Manzano impressive but the other American was right there with him. They hit the afterburner right at the same time. It is always interesting when you see someone with much shorter legs do well. If you think about it Michael Johnson had short legs, small steps.
