How To Fix Webcam Lag/ Motion Blur In OBS

Just a little tutorial on how to fix OBS webcam motion blur, hope its helps a few people out.

Thank you so much for the Yoshi, I am a teacher and I wanted to upgrade my webcam and I couldn't decide between the Brio and the new FaceCam. I was so disappointed to see the the video that I recorded and I couldn't figure out why. You saved the day! At first I didn't understand why exposure would do that. Now I get it, if you increase the exposure it automatically slows the shutter speed. I think the much newer Elgato FaceCam has those controls so it would be more obvious what was happening. Anyway, thanks so much for posting this solution!

my face cam is worse. when i use obs my face cam completely freezes and the audio skips a lot.

I turned my LED lights off, went back to the settings and checked how it looked like without the lights, then I turned them on again and the motion blur and flimmering was gone

This + I turned off the low light compensation and holy crap it completely changed my cam quality. it looks so good now!

how do i enable the camera control in properties? mine is diabled for some reason. my webcam is HD

I think you need to install it's initial Drivers first.

It also might not be available for some Webcam my old one wasn't

Good info, I am still having stuttering issues with my Elgato facecam mk.2 I have a ticket in with them and have made a number of changes within windows settings as well as NVIDIA control panel settings. I am starting to think that it is something in the Camera Hub software>

Try unchecking your lowlight compensation box too, if this doesn't work!

Hi sorry for the late reply, it might be down to your camera not being comparable with that control, Im unsure though as I dont use OBS anymore. Hope you find a fix.

i messed with this issue for 20 minutes with no result before watching this video. reinstalled gpu drivers. Checked cpu load. Went down the list. Did what you said... problem fixed in 2 seconds. Thanks so much for making this video
