Does painting bearings black actually benefit anything anymore? I remember a while ago when he started doing it it was because black has a lower loading time or something
I had absolutely no clue how big the survival workds were. My mind is blown after following many scrap mechanic youtubers since the very beginning of the game. I remember the first mod packs and crazy thrusters where people cleared the creative map in less than 30 seconds. Now this is mind boggling
You can only do that to the ones you've previously "rescued/sold to the trader" then ones that respawn in their place can be picked up. (edited for clarity).
A section of my roadway ends in a boss ember forest valley tile too. Was surprised to see it, 'cause hadn't seen a video where someone else had it. It's really crazy how big the map is. I'm definitely going to try and build one of these for a quick scouting vehicle.
Lost my vehicle in a boss ember forest. When I found it the seat and one of my wheels were missing. Repaired it by turning it into a trike and using a scrap seat to control it.
flyers are kind of impractical. you need a ton of fuel to maintain something in the air, and you need storage for the fuel, which means you need more thrusters, which consume more fuel. you need a ridiculous ammount of fuel to fly well
@@guicky_ Only if you have a big flying creation. My suspension glitch flyer (the same one that Squid built) barely uses any fuel for thrusters. I can fly half way across the map on maybe 7-10 fuel on horizontal thrust and maybe 4 fuel on vertical thrust (you use way more horizontal than vertical in that build). I only need maybe 60 fuel to travel the whole map and probably will have close to half of that left over. I'll have to experiment with it one of these days...
@Remie Duck Electric thrusters are known as ion thrusters which are notoriously bad under atmospheric conditions, and still pretty underpowered in vacuum.
@@Dude13450 dude i have traveled really far on my game and i dont think there is "other side of the map" it just keeps going i have raided 10 warehouses and the road just keeps going.
My husband made one for me. It worked great, but opened our saved game the next day to find my bike and his car in pieces. Then the bike started exploding shooting off into the air and just went crazy. Now we can't find it. He rebuilt his car though, but log back on this morning to find the car in pieces all over again. Craziest thing, wish I would've caught it on video ;)
I look forward to seeing what you make using thrusters. I'm thinking that maybe some sort of half hovering chariot (for lack of a better word) would be cool. Wheels on the front, thrusters on the back. With enough weight/armour on the front, it could even make for a decent ramming vehicle.
Oh you found the farmer camp. I found that decently early on, but it's all nice, surprising, funny, and really dark that there's so many there.......isolated away.......
Thanks for the step-by-step this was really cool. I have no idea how the glitches and more advanced techniques like that work, I only started playing a week or two ago, and I wanted a motorcycle! You rock, dude.
Definitely do some more exploring!! And maybe an idea...?.?. but not to get lost , at every intersection puts some blocks down on the ground vertically up and then horizontal in the direction of home. So you get "sings" at every intersection you've bin at showing you the way home.
Yes Kan you should definitely keep exploring, I like that kind of gameplay, a bit of a change of pace. I do have an idea, you don't have to do this I'm just suggesting, but make one or two simple bearing powered cars to take on a road trip. Bikes are cool tho. Keep up the great content Kan!
Tried building this and the controllers had fixed 15 degree intervals which is probably why it handles like junk (keeps trying to stabilize upside down). Really cool build though!
I want you to know that you are the reason I originally bought Scrap mechanic. Back then I made like 3 creations and wasnt satisfied with them but now that survival is out im liking it a little bit more. Once I had my harvester vehicle (similar to your piston powered one, but without the piston engine) I fell into a lake and noticed it sank like a brick, then I decided to try driving it and... It works! somehow gas powered engines work underwater, so from there I spent a few days collecting oil and glue drowning a few times to reset hunger xD
They need to add everything from survival in creative honestly because the water cannons and chests and just all the levels of things that got added aren't in it, especially level 5 seat with the bearing customization would be cool in creative
It’s because right now the main focuse is survival so that’s what they are working on and that when survival is all optimized and wIll just need content updates mainly that’s prolly when they will focuse on creative mode more
KAN make a WOC SANTA'S SLIDE and when you punch them they try to run away but drag you and the slide. For fuel it uses corn to feed the wocs so they regenerate health🐮🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🐮🐄

isn't the squareabout suposed to have more than just one entry/exit? just asking, i'm not english so i don't really know the terminology. in spain we have in some places that kind of cul-de-sac to keep people from doing stupid things on them
@@JoachimVampire A roundabout has 2 or more exits, but if you have a full circle of road with a single exit, that becomes a cul-de-sac, which generally has houses around the outside. They're generally seen in suburban residential zones and they allow for a good amount of space for cars to turn around easily and for extra parking by the side of the road. A so-called _squareabout_ as far as I can tell is more like an intersection where nobody has the right-of-way and driver courtesy takes charge, so basically a squareabout is a dumb idea in my opinion.
Oh yeah I remember that hill lol. Super steep and ridiculous. We had a big truck that could go up it but we had to have a maxed out gas engine and it powered the 4 rear tires. Couldn't really turn and we shot up the hill. My brother who was not sitting down at the time went flying and I had to find him. Lol.
I found that giving it front wheel drive makes it ALOT more controllable than back wheel drive. (I am using gas engine tho, if that makes a difference.) If you add a 2nd suspension glitch on the underside where all the poles are to use it for turning, you can use that to still give you drifts. You can set all of the normal rotation editor stuff to the first one since it's max, the 2nd rotation editor can be for managing drift. Might want to add a 2nd hidden one somewhere and 2 buttons (buttons for the driver seat to make them separate inputs) to make it really work well though.
the tapebots are op they are super accurate and they can do 55 damage 2 shots can kill you and there also red tape bots that can shot explosive tape that can probably kill you in one shot
In my opinion survival mode is so well balanced ! Also the map is huge, and the only way to explore it in its entirety is having a plane, which is very end game, and I love that ! kudos to Axolot

When you store them, use the T-bar like you already are, but hang them from the ceiling, like irl dirt bike enthusiasts do to save floor space in your workshop.
ive tried this build three different times now and got different results each time. super sad, wanted to ball on my buddy. the leaning with the controllers and sensors and the suspension just isnt working correctly. looks perfect and drives decent but its just not handling like in your video
mine doesn't swing left or right I can only turn the wheel how do I fix it? I'm not sure if that is the same problem you are having but if you figured it out lmk

I make a pillar of wood out the front of my base & weld all my vehicles to a post.. This little trick gave me 200% more FPS in game. Was getting 40 to 60 FPS i now get over 140FPS. Wishbone suspension you made in Episode 8 or 9 tanks my FPS like a boss. Just eats FPS for breakfast that suspension. But it looks cool af.
The map is infinite, it will keep generating as you go further out in any direction. All structures will spawn more then once apart from the crash ship and the trader, once a warehouse has been looted it is basically useless to go back to so moving base or having multiple bases are a good idea when you get to the stage of looting multiple warehouses. Trader visits are once in a blue moon anyway.
If you've followed this video and your bike ends up leaning in the opposite direction to the way you are turning - the step that seems to have been lost to editing is reversing the rotation on the two bearings attached to the sensors that are wired to the seat. Flipping that rotation on both will fix the bike and have it behaving like KAN's in the video.

Have two things on the same creation but not connected. They must be touching eachother, no social distancing. Take out weld tool and click and drag one block to the other. That should've done it.
It would be amazing if we could be able too paint the accent(think its called) on all parts. So that you could have for example red instead of blue on these bikes. I do love how it looks by default but to be able to paint them would be amazing!
wow those bikes are epic. they look like such fun!!! And don't even get me started on your road system. I hope they integrate some sort of mapping system later on. Those beacons that the devs were talking about will help a lot with knowing where you are especially if they come with some sort of coordinate system. Keep up the great vids!!

Should put a larger wheel in the front. Not sure why just feel like it might help with steering, it is probably because that's how they are irl. Also maybe put the front end at more of an angle for aesthetics
Chances are that the map is procedurally generated and that the road system will simply never end (or rather end suddenly at some abitrary end point), similiar to Minecraft (where the Maps actually end at some point but, but it's enormously big and you won't ever reach that in a normal game).

i keep getting amazed how insanely huge the map is. And i've seen quite a few episodes of several (kan, scrapman, Z1 etc), but never seen a place that was familiar to my 'home'.
Ok I'm just gonna go around all the youtubers and explain exactly how these "glitchy" farmers work. When you initially come acroas them you cant take them into your inventory. You have to manually pick them up and deliver them to rhe trader. After they respawn you can just take them into your inventory.
I found 3 mechanic shots and roads on 60 degree angles and going streight down cliffs and over the water. And by the way I explored only the roads at the beginning and realized there's alot to explore off the roads too. Theres defonatly alot to explore but the road generation is really broken. I've never seen roads end into boss zones and on sudde hills though
I am pretty certain that all warehouses have 2 roads that lead to it. So that road that goes to the warehouse just go around the outside and there will be another road on the other side that you can follow. Also, go to this farmers and just hold right click on them and you should be able to pick them up. It doesnt work all the time and you need to find the certain spot but you usually can.
I read that each world is different. It is made up of the same tiles randomly stuck together. It may be as infinite as your PC can handle as far as I know. Nice bike. I don't know too much about the glitches but I will definitely have to check that out. The physics engine may differ between mode because I think that mods work differently in creative. (I am not too sure about this). Oh well, happy building.

Hold down shift as you drag, it shows it in the handbook if you need better instructions

they are adding beacons to mark your base or key point like how the bag is visible from far away when you die.
Wont get an actual in game map as every players map 'seed' is different. You can always make your own map on paper as you explore. :)

downside of the tapebots, they only require 1 potato to die, so that levels out the OP-ness. go stealth mode and the tapebots mean nothing

Hey I’m having trouble with getting that first controller bit to +4 mine only goes by increments of 15
That and when I ride it tips over super easy so it’s not drivable

When seeing this I think it would be a nice idea to place lights at the junctions that are aligned towards home.
Beacons are definitely going to be handy with how MASSIVE the map is, the map is way larger than i thought!

On the bikes you could add a trailer hitch and make small trailers for scouting

wow those bikes are epic. they look like such fun!!! And don't even get me started on your road system. I hope they integrate some sort of mapping system later on. Those beacons that the devs were talking about will help a lot with knowing where you are especially if they come with some sort of coordinate system. Keep up the great vids!!

if you have 2 opposing bearings like you do for both wheels, you can place the structure and bearings first and the wheel will connect to both.
Beautiful bike, sad it requires the suspension glitch tho but oh well that's how it is for now.

Should put a larger wheel in the front. Not sure why just feel like it might help with steering, it is probably because that's how they are irl.
Also maybe put the front end at more of an angle for aesthetics

Chances are that the map is procedurally generated and that the road system will simply never end (or rather end suddenly at some abitrary end point), similiar to Minecraft (where the Maps actually end at some point but, but it's enormously big and you won't ever reach that in a normal game).

i keep getting amazed how insanely huge the map is. And i've seen quite a few episodes of several (kan, scrapman, Z1 etc), but never seen a place that was familiar to my 'home'.
Can't wait till they add signs to the game.

Ok I'm just gonna go around all the youtubers and explain exactly how these "glitchy" farmers work.
When you initially come acroas them you cant take them into your inventory. You have to manually pick them up and deliver them to rhe trader. After they respawn you can just take them into your inventory.

You could make a massive trailer, orrr weld them onto some blocks and right click remove them into your inventory (they stack as well).
I found 3 mechanic shots and roads on 60 degree angles and going streight down cliffs and over the water. And by the way I explored only the roads at the beginning and realized there's alot to explore off the roads too. Theres defonatly alot to explore but the road generation is really broken. I've never seen roads end into boss zones and on sudde hills though
Oh I didn't watch till the end but like 30% of my map is those crazy cliff roads

I am pretty certain that all warehouses have 2 roads that lead to it. So that road that goes to the warehouse just go around the outside and there will be another road on the other side that you can follow. Also, go to this farmers and just hold right click on them and you should be able to pick them up. It doesnt work all the time and you need to find the certain spot but you usually can.
I read that each world is different. It is made up of the same tiles randomly stuck together. It may be as infinite as your PC can handle as far as I know. Nice bike. I don't know too much about the glitches but I will definitely have to check that out. The physics engine may differ between mode because I think that mods work differently in creative. (I am not too sure about this). Oh well, happy building.
