You should see the Unconquered there is a Polish and English version of it. The narrator in English version is Sean Bean. I get emotional watching this every time.

In Poland, there was no formal system of slavery like in ancient Rome or European colonies, where people were considered the property of their masters. However, peasants in feudal Poland were tied to the land and forced to work for landowners, effectively making them dependent on the nobility and magnates. Therefore, one could suggest that anyone who was poor could be considered a slave.

    Witam.
    Pozdrawiam ;).

Poland is not a place, it is a state of the soul. Józef Beck (Polish foreign minister 1939) said: "There is only one thing in the lives of people, nations and states that is priceless: this thing is honor." So yea... we do crezy stuf. But with honour.

I'm impressed you've recognized the Winged Hussars :)
Regarding 4:45 part - that's not exactly slavery, but tbh it's similar in a lot of ways. It's serfdom (in Polish "pańszczyzna"). Serfs were Polish peasants, they were not bought on any slave market or taken from any colony (Poland didn't have colonies), but yeah - they had very limited rights and were forced to work for the benefit of their noble lord. Their life was pretty bad by today's standards, but usually marginally better than a typical slave at the time.
Regarding when the wars are going to stop... There is a geopolitical theory, that geography to a very large degree determines the destiny of a country. In our case, we are squeezed between the West and the East, with powerful neighbors on both sides - no matter if they are collaborating or fighting each other, the war is likely to happen on our territory (or very close to us, like the current war in Ukraine). At the same time, we are located in the middle of Central European Plain, which basically means zero natural features (like mountains or seas) that would prevent a land army invading either from west or east. So yeah, our geography pretty much invites war.
Also, Poland doesn't shoot illegal immigrants on sight. That's fake news. But I guess it benefits us if potential, illegal immigrants believe it and decide not to come here. This is a big topic on its own, as Russia and Belarus are using illegal immigrants as a hybrid warfare tactic against us - we would be stupid if we would allow them to do that.

The part about Poland shooting illegal imigrants is not true though. It refers to a very specific law regarding very specific situation, that got exagerrated and turned into a fake news. I don't think this law was ever applied.

Hey, the thing about Poland shooting illegal imigrants on sight is just extreme exagerration spread on the internet by a nationalist politician. It refers to the change of law regarding a very specific situation- the crisis on the Belarusian border which is a hybrid warfare conducted against us by Belarus and Russia. It was implemented because normally the soldiers can only use deterring measures but the people on the border are often very aggressive, to the point some of our soldiers have been killed. I don't think it was ever actually used though, it's more to scare them off. Please, don't believe everything you see on the internet, there's tons of fake news.

Just a short summary of the most important things: Poland officially began in 966. We have had about 50 major conflicts, we are located in the center of Europe, for us WWII ended 50 years later than officially, during the last major war 20% of citizens were murdered and another 20% disappeared. Currently, Poland is poorly managed. Ukraine, which we help, murdered 100,000-500,000 women, elderly people and children 70 years ago and Zelensky does not want to let us bury them...

And do not let us forget the Slavic slave trade that was going on for much longer than the Trans-Atlantic one and in higher numbers, people unfortunately is just now starting to learn where the word SLAVE actually comes from and who that were the enslavers.

    Last seconds...
    Another (but silent) occupation.
Not forced at the beginning, but more and more oppressive and claming our rights, beliefs, businesses and traditions.
    It somehow never ends here.

    • @leno_o17
      @leno_o17 День тому

I wouldn't say it was "not forced". It was enforced by the deal Stalin made with USA and UK. People were dying fighting against it.
Edit: oh, you're talking about the Eu? 😂 Ok, so it's definitely not forced since vast majority of people wants it.
