So I just found out they used Invaders Must DIE for the official Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Movie trailer. The Scott Pilgrim inspiration becomes more apparent by the day with stuff like Chai's personality, the scene where he puts on his clothes having the same tone as Scott putting on his outdoor clothes in the movie and now with this song that was used for the trailer that also had the action in the trailer match the beat of the song.
yeah i just realised that! the concept of combat effect and the guitar from Chai definietly have the character assemblance! Also i love Scott Pilgrim vs The World movie! Totally unique experience from that time!
All it took for this game to beat forspoken is one trailer and a shadow drop on the same day the trailer dropped despite hi fi rush being in development for 6 years. They didn't even need 1% of power to absolutely crush a triple A title.
@@mauwwwww Triple A Effort, Forespoken was AAA in nothing but acclaim. The people who made this clearly made it with love, or whatever passes for it in the industry.
I meeeeean the team that made Hi Fi Rush also made The Evil Within. I would say both devs were on the same playing field. It's just that whoever developed Forespoken had no idea what they were doing, and the Hi Fi rush Devs definitely knew what people needed. Btw Bethesda only published the game. It was made by Tango Gameworks.
The cafeteria fight is one of the easiest fights in the game to get S rank in quickly, since you're dishing out so much damage against all of the smaller bots, so the fact that you get to hear the crowd chanting your name for pretty much the whole fight just makes it feel like even more of a treat.
I love the entrance, because the classic visual gag of "Character standing next to a picture of themselves doing the same pose" paired with the fact that Chai is doing the freaking Sasquatch pose is too funny to process. BTW, using the Cobra Kai outfit for Macaron is hella based.
Can we also appreciate that the boss has the least amount of screen time and build up out of any of them? No shouting insults through intercom or Chai constantly berating him. Cause the man is on the grind and is making dat dough Then he comes in and its the hypest fight in the entire game with a song so fire it gave me goosebumps One of the best level in any character action game I would say
Forspoken: o I kill frshikin dragons, I do magik, ye that how I am now *Hi-Fi Rush: ok first things first, my player got into my chest (I don't think it's supposed to be there), it powers my cool robot arm and last, when mysic kicks in it's like, everything synchoronises into the beat, sounds strange, but this is sooo cool.*
To rub extra salt in the wound: Luminous Studios, the dev team behind Forspoken and FF15, was just shut down two weeks ago by Square Enix. Meanwhile, Tango Softworks just celebrated Hi-Fi Rush hitting 2 million units two weeks ago, and released the soundtrack last week.
Isn't technically speaking HI-FI Rush a AAA game? I mean, it was made by the studio behind The Evil Within & Ghostwire Tokyo (Tango Gameworks) and publish by Bethesda Game Studios, as in the studio behind the Fallout & Elders Scrolls games
i only refer to this 1 level of the game not the entire Hi-Fi Rush :)) i know it's a AAA game but this level alone can give you that sensation of not oly hype, but FUN in gaming! And "that" AAA game just makes me drop dead after that one cutscene :))))
While this video perfectly encapsulates how one level overshadows every AAA game out there. I can't help but wallow and cringe at you only using Light Attacks, my soul aches from watching this.
Who ever picked the score for this has nothing but my uttermost respect. I've been into The Prodigy since I first heard 'em on the score for NFS Most Wanted and god did I lose my shit when the realization that Invaders Must Die was playing and I wasn't imagining things.
I honestly think my favorite part of this scene is that, up to this point the game's been gradually unlocking mechanics for you. Lights, Heavies, Supers, Beat Hits, Magnet Pulling, Dodging, Parrying, the QTE sequences that the higher tier enemies have you do to oneshot them, how to effectively use your teammates to clear enemies. Track 10 is the first level where the game's not trying to teach you a new mechanic. It just puts you in a room with a bunch of enemies, puts on a banger of a song, and assures you that you've got this.
I feel bad for people who did not experience this because of the streamer mode (no offense to the original soundtrack, it is pretty good, but no match for "the real thing").
As an autistic person...I dang well have a sense of rhythm and timing. It's worth considering that you're just naturally lacking in rhythm, rather than it being a byproduct of your neurodivergency.
My only complaint is that the game is a smidge too easy. Not that I didn't die a lot, but I played it on very hard and still had little issue getting through the missions. Especially the bosses felt easy with their attacks not only being really slow, even slower than most regular enemies, but their health pools ending the fight lomg before it even starts. Admittedly, difficulty ist a paradime to judge a game's quality and this game was nevertheless fun as hell.
yeah i think its meant to be easy because it wants us to play with the flow of the rthyme from the game! just like playin an music instrument and create an awsome melody! and to have everyone play the game as fun as possible! i have played jedi survivors on grand master difficulty and i got to say the difficulty in that game just takes away the fun from the game! so i think it is wise for the dev just to make the game as easy for hardcore gamer and hard enough for normal gamer
