@@mikithekynd Then they took that approach way too far with Doom Eternal forcing the player to look at the same slow chainsaw animation over and over again for ammo. Even a Quick Time Event is more interactive than that. They gotta let people just play the game and have some trust in the player! They should have swapped it around with the Flame Belch providing the ammo and the chainsaw giving the armour. Would be fine with that. Sad that we'll never get a sequel to Hi-Fi Rush but it will always be one of those cult classic games that people never forget. 💔
the literal BRIDGE SECTION (generator platforming) of the song being used as a traversal timer for bridging to the next part of the stage is absolutely insane. the guys who made this had incredible ideas from the drawing board in literally every aspect of this game! GOTY came in january by surprise
Legit when this scene rocked, my jaw hit the floor and that drop got me bouncing in my chair like when I was a kid again, no other media has legitimately elicited the same feeling in YEARS.
Love scenes like this and the Across the Spiderverse scene where it's just one person in a room full of everyone that is hunting them down all at once, and instead of immedietely jumping at them, they just watch em slowly enter the room or become revealed and it's just this big, awkward, suspensful pause.
And some people say this game doesn't even deserve to be considerated for a GOTY nomination, lol, one of the coolest moments i had in a videogame with The Prodigy kickin' in like that 😍
The animation of this scene is PERFECT! It's a pretty common scenario in cartoons, but damn, it is effective One note I really, really dig is the fact that orange robot's pizza slice keep dripping throughout the scene. For whatever reason, it makes the whole thing that much funnier
I heard this song way back in the day in a splatoon shorts video for the Splat Tim meme and never heard this song again since. Then, when I randomly decided to watch some gameplay of this level specifically, I hear the part after the first "We are. The prodigy." and thought "Wait... This sounds familiar. But this is a new game, how could that possibly-" and then I heard part with the rave music and the visuals of the Splat Tim meme came flooding back. I literally said "It's Splat Tim. He does it." as I felt this rush of excitement from rediscovering this song after years of not hearing it.
I’m kinda surprised that they don’t have the optional costumes for the wanted poster… but it does make it more believable that is why they took so long to start attacking
I honestly never did it for Peppermint purely for the sound effects. I much prefer the double repeated beat of her base attack to her held single shot. Korsica also has the issue where her held attack often misses enemies, because in the time it takes to charge up, they’re no longer in the right place
I've been playing it off of game pass. if i bought the $10 deluxe upgrade, Do you happen to know if I'd even be able to use it or would i have to buy the whole game?

Btw has anyone streamed this track without Streamer Mode? I'm not monetized so idc. I'm normally scared to play licensed music in games but Track 10 is SOOOOOOO good that I'm willing to take one for the team for the viewers. Just track 10: it's the most musically appealing and adds on to the experience more than the alt. track (which is good but not the same). I haven't heard of anyone getting struck or claimed (can fight the claim) if at worst just private it maybe. However I've seen a streamer friendly track of renditions in this game be mistaken for the original. Anyone who hasn't, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

It's a fun experimental game dude, it's not as amazingly complex as it's inspirations like DMC or traditional rhythm games, but it doesn't need to be. I'd rather people experiment then pump out battle Royale 898
DOOM 2016: we wanted to encourage offensive playstyle by making enemies drop ammo.
Hi-Fi Rush: I am style. I am music. Everything must die.
Hi-Fi Rush: We are the prodigy

Doom is a garbo game made with outdated designs, don't compare it with the likes of Hi-Fi Rush!

This game is such a sick concept with even better execution
Holy shit this game is every music buff’s wet dream
And then a year later as a reward for this amazing effort, the studio got killed. Microsoft is straight up evil.
If this is actually in the game, im buying this ASAP, love the prodigy
Say bye to those $30 bucks then. That’s in the game my dude.
It is actually, finished the game yesterday
No don't buy the $30 version!
Get the Deluxe version. It will give you a Stupid T-shirt lol
Best stage for sure
This game is fucking GLORIOUS
Having Invaders must DIE as a combat theme is the biggest ode to D&B this game could have given
D&B ftw Baby
whats that
sick plays, this is easily my favorite segment in the whole game, insanely hype
I love the section right after the wolf.
this song needed redemption after Duke Nukem Forever
This is probably he section that has been burned into my mind forever. Just for the song choice alone.
The fact the character makes a ton when he walks is absolutely genius gameplay
@@rara3538 I always think back to the multiplayer trailer for Crysis 2
6:00 Love the timing they set up on this
The first 30 seconds is comedy gold; just absurdity on absurdity.
Love the Bigfoot pose Chai holds matching perfectly with the monitor, and the way his face looks lmfao
The robot with the pizza going uuuuh never fails to get a laugh outta me. Ditto with Chai going "Nope!" a little later on.

Rhythm style hack n' slash where you can beat enemies to The Prodigy's Invaders Must Die.
Shiiiiitttt this game's after my heart.
My favorite part in this level is when you overheat a Generator and the music picks up - it's pretty cool
Easily one of the best moments in the entire game!
I got so hype during this! When I used to work as I bike messenger I had Invaders Must Die on my playlist. Yeah it is that amazing!
Robots eats human food? Hmmm... Intresting
They’re analogous to working class people
The actual reason is because all robots can turn food into compost for gardening etc.
They're techno-organics like Roquefort.

it's just ceaselessly funny to me how he continues to sip his drink as he stares down at Chai..
That part had me laughing for a good 2 minutes 😂
I just realized this guy got 100% timing for the armadillo fight

My boy you need to adjust the volume so the music is louder. The Prodigy demands it.
It’s almost impossible to not S rank this fight when this song plays. S RANKED on hard first playthrough!

Rhythm as an after thought? The entire game is based on the bpm. everything revolves around the beat.
