First thing, your mental health is paramount. I love your videos and your journey, but most of all, for a young man to do what you've done in the industry is awesome. I salute you driver.
Life is about experiences, not destinations. If you spend too much time thinking about yourself and pretending that you can "find" in advance what you think could be the 100% right answer, you'll find nothing and life will pass you by. Just get on with it, whatever it is. As trucking was for you, nothing is forever. Good luck.
Everything you said holds truth. I'm glad you recognized it early and not when you're alone at that dinner table, as you said. Wish you the best on your next journey
Thanks for updating us!! I loved watching all your trucking videos, Alex! You are a nice, down to earth person and I look forward to watching you in your next adventure. Take care!! :)
Alex I have enjoyed your videos for years. You have a great work ethic and I know you will go far in life. I retiered after 45 years of trucking I think you're making the right choice. You will be missed. Best of luck.😎
It happens bro , burn out happens. I took a break from trucking for a few months just to get a break from the road it definitely gets tiring. I’m about to go back just because I miss it, that may not be the same case for you but at least you accomplished something. Go get your life back you need it, go out with friends , go live , and just go experience how it feels just to live a normal life again. Some people weren’t blessed enough to make it off the road. We’re all rooting for you bro
My husband and I have grown to love you it’s like watching one of our Son’s my husband drove over the road for years and years but now he is home doing a different job because I have MS you never know what life will bring you your a fine man and we are sure you will be successful in all your future ventures we wish you the very best
Alex, you've reflected and decided to make a change and I admire you for that. This is not a drawback. Seek what fulfills you in life. Do what you believe is best for you.
Can’t wait for your new content Alex. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed going along on the trucking adventures and look forward to your future endeavors! Go for it!!!!
Keep your CDL!!! I gave mine up in 2015 and have regretted it ever since!! NOW if I want it back at my age I have to do a whole school again. No thanks. Don't give it up! It costs more to renew, and yeah you have to do the physical every so often but that CDL = Employment.
I’m quitting trucking next week and pursuing sales. I don’t see myself doing trucking forever it’s a crazy lifestyle. Mental health matters bro do you Alex, God bless your new journey!
As a former salesman looking into trucking. Sales is very stressful at moments i cant lie tho i made some pretty good money but the stress of having to meet quota is there man but you will always be around people and home so there is that but try it out hope it go’s well !
Good luck in the future Alex. When I’m working and see a Kenworth I think “Oh Kenny”. You have a great personality, just bring it wherever life takes you next.
because of you alex you made me realize that trucking was the missing piece of the puzzle in my life thank you for helping me figure out what i wanted to do in life
Congratulations Alex!! You were able to leave trucking the right way; ON YOUR OWN TERMS and that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be done! You’re gonna miss the SOLITUDE and that direct deposit every Friday but there’s lots of things that you’re not going to miss at all. Hey, do you like the Great Lakes? Go up to the U.P. Michigan Mackinac Island and Rent a Cabin on Lake Michigan or Lake Superior and chill out thinking about LIFE AFTER TRUCKING. 😎🍷 Cheers and Congratulations from Rochelle Illinois!!
@@robertruschak7083 That was absolutely true at one time. But now that the Corporations and the Shippers and Receivers have STREAMLINED the trucking industry to ITS OUR WAY OR THE HIGHWAY mentality, IMO, trucking Local and OTR has become unbearable for Experienced drivers to return after they Retire. However I will agree; if you don’t leave trucking on your own terms, YES, you will probably return.
Hey Alex, watching your video I get were your coming from. Your a young man ready for your next adventure in life. Me I'm a 56 year old trucker who love's the road and my career as a trucker. Great job sharing this info, Alex! Having gone through similar thought processes and making a few career changes myself (alternatively known as my multiple Mid-Life Crises), I applaud your recognition of this feeling early on and taking actions to improve your quality of life, on your terms, without having it forced on you. Good luck with your next chapter! Take your time in choosing; don't feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. I hope you will continue sharing with us. Take care.
I get it buddy, OTR is a hard way of life especially for a nice single man like yourself. Just trust in the Lord...we can plan our route but it is He that guides our steps! I going to miss your videos driver but, best of luck in whatever it is you end up doing. Best wishes and God Bless!
Alex, I have enjoyed your videos and sad to see you go. But sometimes you gotta do what’s best for you. You’ll figure it out. I stumbled on your channel when I was searching for point of view of truckers and yours was the best result and enjoyed so much I subscribed. I couldn’t wait to see where you would end up, or even if you’d be driving thru my town. Even tho I didn’t get into trucking, it did help me shape my view of what it’s like. I had one stepdad that was a trucker and I went on just one long haul with him and been fascinated of that ever since. Looking forward to see what is next in your journey and as a fan, I hope to keep following future videos!
One thing I would recommend, get into vanlifing and share your journey, explore the country and the world! I am going to miss your trucking videos, but do what makes you happy Alex!

Well Alex I had no choice to quit from Crete as well due to heart problems. Trucking is a unhealthy stressful and dangerous job, Crete told me in order to come back my cardiologist must clear me and then. I said Nope I am no longer gonna go through moving in and out of trucks and being like a number. I used to deal blackjack at casinos before deciding I wanted to go over the road. I decided to Go back into the hospitality business. I enjoy people, I ended up with depression while driving and my stress led to my heart going into atrial fibrillation. I am also an EMT and been doing that for 8 years. I did trucking for one thing it was to help our country during the pandemic. So Now I am returning my life in the direction I wanted to be is to help people and enjoy people. Best of luck in the future.
Since I got my truck driver license I've changed like 5 truck companies for obvious reasons: bad treatment, only thinking about making money, abandoned sitting there waiting for a loading destination etc. Trucking ain't so cool as you see it on social media believe me,I do this sh*t for a living and I know what I'm talking about. Good luck.
Trucking is not a job to get into if you're not a trucker. Anyone can get a cdl but only truckers love Trucking. Find something you love, not something to check off a bucket list. Your tending to yourself on the road was most entertaining. Cooking, hiking, ect. God's speed Alex.
Trucking is not for weak minded people Alex is crying too much in this video I been tricking for over 10 years & somewhat successful in real estate Elon Musl is the richest man and still working 60+ hours a week He does not babble about work life balance
My thoughts exactly. He hit the point where he could graduate from steering wheel holder, to “trucker” and called it quits. He says he did everything there was to do in trucking. Never owned his own truck, never had his own authority, never booked his own loads, never made his own schedule. Never ran locally or regionally. The freedom he was searching for was there he just didn’t have the ambition and love for the job to make it happen.
Marvelous Marv 379 ain't quitting... Dropping 3-4 videos a week. C'mon. 🐈💨 BTW, best wishes on your next venture, Alex. I enjoyed your videos. I'll be a million subscribers when I master the art of yapping like you. You're a great talker! That's what I enjoyed about your videos. God bless 🙌🏽
Wishing you the best in whatever you do. This is the first video I've seen from you in over a month. I'm a trucker now after practicing funeral directing and embalming for 22 years and then taking 4 years off to be with my aging parents before my dad's death.
Alex. its ok. sometimes our heart tells us something else. I have always enjoyed watching you as a trucker and a human being. I myself have never driven an 18-wheeler. but watching you as a trucker and a good human being was enjoyable. follow your heart. that is all that matters. don't worry about your what some of you followers say. it all up to you buddy. great things are coming your way. most of us have been there. I am 63 years old and have made many decisions like yours. it always works out for the best. Money and big houses don't make the person you are. successful. it's based on being happy with what you do with your life. good luck and I will be praying for you Alex..
Alex, your videos might have been old and a repeat to you, but to your subscribers you was their view to the outside. You let them see sights they would have never seen. Thank you for that. We can see the sincerity of your heart and the hurt you're feeling. But you're an influencer, you're a motivator and an innovator. You will most definitely land on your feet, and whatever you do will take off. We hope that you continue to take us along for the ride. Give us a glimpse into you and who you are. Let us be a part of your success in life. That way, we can celebrate with you on every milestone you make and surpass.
An incredible journey over this last few years is an understatement. On to the next journey to inspire and improve lives. Wishing you all the best and success on your next venture. Look forward to seeing you soon! ❤
Oh man! Yes! It has been a month. Alex, you are one of my best UA-camrs I could ever watch since January I started watching one of your videos, including your dream truck, teal color Kenny Kenworth. I love seeing you driving in a Kenworth on highways and make deliveries. I can’t believe that you had to quit GP Transco. I’m really gonna miss you posting any trucking videos of you driving an 80,000 lb machine. But I still can watch any of your videos from the past. I’m really gonna miss you Alex the Trucking Guy. Or should I say Alex the Former Trucking Guy.?
You have a gift in that you were able to bring people in by being yourself. You managed so many different things at once and you blew up on UA-cam. Think about how you can leverage your position to do good while not overworking yourself so much. You have a gift brother.
Alex you are a success story in trucking you did what 90% of the people say they will do. Get in get money and get out to follow a new dream! Thank you I remember watching you before I even got my CDL. You made things easier for me and alot of other people you truly changed peoples lives. Thank you
Whatever the next adventure is, I’ll be there. You have caught my attention with your humor, personality and story telling. Let’s go!!! The emotion in this video is intense, as it should be.
My husband used to truck for about three years. He quit due to medical reasons and he’s thankful. He’d be out for weeks on end … missing wife and kids. He found local jobs that enabled him to have evenings with family. Do what s best for you, Alex. Good on you
Alex you hang in there! We love your videos. I’m looking to get into the industry for the experience because back to when I was a kid, it is what I have wanted to do. I have been an automotive mechanic for 14 years and wanting to give it a shot on the road. I’m blessed to have a partner supporting me in this decision 100%. This is NOT a setback for you, be proud that you are not settling but striving for more. This in my mind is what I am doing as I want to make the next step financially and otherwise to support family and build my own life with my partner. God speed sir! ❤
Respectfully. bro, it's trucking. You can get in and get out whenever you want. It's not the end of the world. It has been here before you and will be here after you.
You can get in and out whenever but some people don’t have the luxury to quit whenever or have dedicated there life and finical situations to do this for life. Some people come from nothing to trucking and feel they can never do anything else
It’s ok buddy. That is the best part of living in a free society. You’re a stand up guy and honesty is all we have in life. I actually did not know you had that many subs. Best of luck bud.
I love your videos @Alexthetrucker.....I feel like you but I'm in bussing.....I been driving busses for almost 15yrs I want to get into trucking that's been a dream of mine since childhood now I'm days away from 43 and it's time ...and your videos over the pass days has really inspired me.....your magnet to success you have great energy i love your courageousness braveness enthusiasm.....And from the short time getting to know you you through your videos I'm confident the rest of your life will be the very very best of your life.....I pray God continually bless you with unlimited resources, tools, opportunities, creative ideas, prosperity, good health , always being in the right place at the right time and of course money....keep up the great work in whatever wherever you land at...
I wish you the best man, I'll still continue watching, it's always good to move up and continue to build your dreams. I do have a recommendation for a business, they are local to Chicago, Boost Auto Parts I think they would be a good interview. Hit em up
I wish nothing but the best for you!! You are the reason i got into trucking. I got into it kind of for the reasons your getting out. "What else is there for me to do?" Has always been my mentality. The current company I'm with I know I will not be with forever. It's just a start. I want to get more specialized into doing things that do not include warehouses. LOL. I'm looking to get into the entertainment sector of trucking. I just have to get a little bit more experience to get there. I can't wait to watch what you have going on with your next chapter in your life!

Take care!! :)
Do the van life that you've always wanted to do. I would love to see your adventures. But most importantly do what makes you happy.
Yep, I’d watch that too👏
I'd definitely watch that
That's a great suggestion and something that has been blowing up on UA-cam lately.
Sounds like a quitter that got burnt out after a couple years
@@robertruschak7083a quitter wouldn’t last a couple years who wants to do the same thing for 30 years there’s so much more to life
Yeah a lame o
This man has soft hands 🙌

He’ll get another job that’s not trucking thinking shits sweet ! Then he’ll realize that trucking is better lol
To new adventures!!!!!
Go for it!!!!
good luck, Alex! Follow your dreams. You’re gonna make it. You got talent.
Keep your CDL!!! I gave mine up in 2015 and have regretted it ever since!! NOW if I want it back at my age I have to do a whole school again. No thanks. Don't give it up! It costs more to renew, and yeah you have to do the physical every so often but that CDL = Employment.
spot on
I’m quitting trucking next week and pursuing sales. I don’t see myself doing trucking forever it’s a crazy lifestyle. Mental health matters bro do you Alex, God bless your new journey!
Mental health bull crap
Good thing you're quieting
I went from auto sales to eventually trucking. I made way less money in sales and was way more stressed out about when my next sale was going to be.
BTW, my avatar picture is a picture of Lake Superior in Grand Marais Michigan!! If curious it’s pronounced Grand MAR-RAY. 😊
Most people return back -
@@robertruschak7083 That was absolutely true at one time.
Keep up the videos because I want to watch your new adventure in life. Until the next video, it was good having you apart of the trucking family. ✌🏾👴🏾
Stay strong bud...
At the end of the day you need to make sure you are happy! It’s hard to make a move like you did but do not be fearful. You need to realize you have an advantage right now and the luxury to take the risk with such a big platform! Try the things you like to do and the ppl who follow you for “Alex” will come along.
Pray about it my friend. God is good.
Alex............you're young. Change is constant. I loved watching you, listening to you grunting while backing......getting lost..it was ALL worth watching. I'm a Mother of two truckers. Yup, lonesome life really........but hope you find the next challenge.......everything isnt a race........be well

Go get it Alex! You deserve that and so much more. Thank you for your trucking service and look forward to see the next chapter in your life 😎
Loved your videos. It was more about watching you and your fun personality more than anything. You will do great at anything you pursue. Keep us updated
That’s awesome bro. Didn’t even notice the 1m subs. Thought it was a small growing channel. It’s amazing though. Was always thinking your end result, was going to be an owner operator. I’m not done with the video yet tho, so let’s see what you say lol.
Alex, I’m not a trucker but came access one of your videos a couple years ago. Normally I don’t watch the whole video, but you kept me entertained though out the whole video. Since that day I have watched the majority of videos. You’re young and have a talent for making great content. Good luck on your next venture.
Alex we so appreciate you taking us on your trucking journey
I found it very very interesting
I think you're a great guy and you'll do great at whatever you decide. Many blessings and prayers for you on your future journey.
❤❤😊
Hey man, wanted to say thank you for all the work you did. I've been with your channel ever since you were first with Variant and honestly, you showed everyone how tough trucking can get. Thank you man and best of luck to the rest of your journey
That is a good decision, Alex. I have watched your videos. You have got a very mature calm head for a person so young. You have a bright future. I don't think trucking does justice to your immense potential. So keep striving and keep exploring what life has to offer.
I started watching you because I liked trucks and wanted to be a trucker. Now I watch you because you're quite literally the best youtuber I've ever watched. Idk what it is but you're amazing man!
When a job isn’t fun anymore it time to do something else. Never stay at a job that you have got tired of. Money isn’t everything, true success is peace of mind. Good luck Alex you find something else enjoyable to do. I enjoyed watching your videos. Keep taking your physical up every 2 yrs. just in case you ever decide to get back in a truck again.
as a trucker who got hurt at work and been off home for 4 mounths take the time get ur mind right take the brake follow ur heart u will no whats next its a hard job not for the faint of heart but maybe i say level up maybe get ur hazmat or something i got board so thats what i did learn what u can and go get it bro u got this
I wish you the best of luck. Whatever you decide to do with the channel, I'm here to support you.
Thanks for the fun and interesting videos. Don’t feel bad about moving on. Life has many chapters and adventures. It’ll all be okay. Take care!
Im proud of you and happy to see your next journey in life!! You’re an awesome guy and I’m here for you and all your content 🫡👑🫶🏾
Good luck Alex!
One thing I would recommend, get into vanlifing and share your journey, explore the country and the world! I am going to miss your trucking videos, but do what makes you happy Alex!
I enjoyed your trucking videos.. I look forward to your next adventure. The best to you Alex
Hi Victor. I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful man with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this compliment. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌺🌺🌺
3:30, I remember the intro from the Covid times and i had fun watching all your long min videos thank you for the joy ❤
You're an amazing person, Alex. Whatever you do next, just good luck.
U got to do what makes u happy in life . Don't give up ur cdl u could use it as a back up in life if u need it . Stay safe out there
Since I got my truck driver license I've changed like 5 truck companies for obvious reasons: bad treatment, only thinking about making money, abandoned sitting there waiting for a loading destination etc.
I agree, you truly need to love or enjoy trucking to survive in the industry.
Trucking is not for weak minded people
Alex is crying too much in this video
I been tricking for over 10 years & somewhat successful in real estate
Elon Musl is the richest man and still working 60+ hours a week
He does not babble about work life balance
My thoughts exactly. He hit the point where he could graduate from steering wheel holder, to “trucker” and called it quits. He says he did everything there was to do in trucking.
Never owned his own truck, never had his own authority, never booked his own loads, never made his own schedule. Never ran locally or regionally. The freedom he was searching for was there he just didn’t have the ambition and love for the job to make it happen.
@@TheGorillaExhibitI’ve been trucking less then a year and done everything on that checklist but I haven’t gone otr

Change is scary but change is good....balance in life is what we should really value. Good luck.
Facts
We gotta expand mane, New York, Chicago, Japan , time to think big!!!
Thank you very much

Thank you
How old were you when you got your cdl?
I'm thinking he has over 1 million subs, he's getting paid...why drive? But your comment was spot on.
@@dfcart01so it's not gonna fall off with no new videos??
You can get in and out whenever but some people don’t have the luxury to quit whenever or have dedicated there life and finical situations to do this for life. Some people come from nothing to trucking and feel they can never do anything else
It’s ok buddy. That is the best part of living in a free society. You’re a stand up guy and honesty is all we have in life. I actually did not know you had that many subs. Best of luck bud.

I wish you the best man, I'll still continue watching, it's always good to move up and continue to build your dreams. I do have a recommendation for a business, they are local to Chicago, Boost Auto Parts I think they would be a good interview. Hit em up
But why you were the best, you where the one who made love truckin😢❤
I wish nothing but the best for you!! You are the reason i got into trucking. I got into it kind of for the reasons your getting out. "What else is there for me to do?" Has always been my mentality. The current company I'm with I know I will not be with forever. It's just a start. I want to get more specialized into doing things that do not include warehouses. LOL. I'm looking to get into the entertainment sector of trucking. I just have to get a little bit more experience to get there. I can't wait to watch what you have going on with your next chapter in your life!
Stay safe out there
As a Trucker myself, it’s hard enough being a driver and than you add youtube videos to it.. definitely will take a toll on you.. not only do you have to worry about work, u also have youtube to worry about.. which means doing double the job. My man didn't quit he got fired 😂😂. Knowing getting fired from GP Transco will never allow you to get hired anywhere else 😂😂

I remember watching a video about 2 years ago where you said you would only be in trucking for not more than 4 yrs , and at that time I think you had real estate aspirations , so I’m looking forward to seeing where we go next !
