Thanks for Watching! I hope you enjoy this overview of S.T.A.L.K.E.R lore! It's not a series I've talked about before so I'm interested to see if folks would like to see more. I have a ton of other ideas for things to talk about...
New S.T.A.L.K.E.R. player thanks to gamepass and now I've found an hour long breakdown uploaded and chaptered in under a day. Thanks, Everberon, for delivering this public servive.
Just seeing that construction site in Limansk brought childhood trauma back. Thanks for that, and for educating new people on this beautiful and unique setting.
I greatly appreciate the hard work that went into creating this summary. Anyone who even remotely follows some of the truly horrifying Real Life programs and experiments that have been conducted by various governments around the world, will find that this summation of what's conveyed throughout the fictional STALKER series as having a heart that echoes the sad state of humanity, and its endless subterfuge and subjugation by those who are In Charge. The more ethereal aspects of the STALKER lore are strangely nailed to the darkest of shadows that are barely hinted at in declassified and heavily redacted documents in the "reality" that we are permitted to perceive. Allowing us to dip our toes into a fictional parallel is pretty wonderful stuff, and that's in spite of its unmentionable horrors. I dearly hope that GSC continues in this vein. We don't need hard answers. We just need the continuous reminders that we are trapped in a bubble not of our own creation, and that we should be ever questioning of its nature, and of those who shape it.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is the first game i’ve played within the series, and definitely captured my interest. i appreciate your dedicated work towards this video! 3rd time i’ve watched this now tbh
I've been a long time fan to the series. I checked the video to see that if I missed something and fortunately I didn't. Like you said at the end, everyone should try and experience this series themselves. But the timeline is very well put together and it was a good refresher since I didn't remember every date and connections clearly. Thanks and good hunting stalker :)
This video was so good! Apologies for being unrelated, but are there any plans to revisit the new Palworld update? Appreciated your videos from ten months ago on Palworld
Stalker 2 was my first in the series and ngl I was lost asf the entire story, but seeing how so many characters I interacted with have huge extensive back stories is past games and had direct effects on the environment I’m exploring that I don’t even know reallyyyy makes me wish I played the other games first, I’ve beat stalker two tho so I might just do that next, I was to play as strelock and go to the center of the zone myself!!!!
This was my experience as well, however, I'm pretty happy with not having played the other games so I really got that same experience Skif must be going through as well. I felt like I was learning things just as he was too, meeting these legends of the zone and deciding who best to side with, even small things like learning how to navigate and survive in the zone and its various aspects.
Actually the June 10 (sometimes even June 11) and April 12 are describing the same event the Second Disaster but the developers stayed with June 10 date for it. Also Kaymanov shot the installation because he wanted to prevent a disaster much bigger that he created, Noopshere contact group scientists wanted to do the thing which occurs in Scar ending in which they they do what they wanted and we saw how it ended. Kaymanov just prevented it.
More games should take place in the former soviet union, the aesthetics, architecture and atmosfear makes it way more interesting than anything released for the past ten years. Great story video my friend!
Really great summary. I’ve been a long term fan playing the first 3 tens of times. I awaited this game for years. For many, Strelok’s ending was the way to go, simply due to loyalty to the character itself from veterans. I do agree with you, its Kaimanov’s that seems most likely canon at this point of time, but then again. When STALKER is about factions and decisions. There are no greater or better decisions. Just whatever the individual believes could be the right path. And the 4 endings represent exactly that.
Got to play the game because of game pass, I’ve never played stalker before so I was cautious of just committing and spending money on the game. Currently on my second play through, and im just hooked and considering of buying the ultimate edition just to support the dev as well as buying the previous games. There might be flaws to stalker two but there is definitely a charm to the game. It’s a game that really pulls you with it’s atmosphere and lore that I love. Edit: thanks for the content, liked and subbed. Hoping for more stalker content!
My personal theory is that Faust assumed his form shortly before that last visit that occurs in Strelok's ending. I think the first visit with him is actually the Doctor, but he gets replaced in order to influence Skif into achieving Faust's goals.
It is going to be interesting if STALKER's true ending is the GLOBAL ZONA. Because the other continiuations would be either stuck in anomaly free world and fight against a overbearing megacorp aka close to Cyberpunk, or STALKER, but ZONA is now a totally secluded space noone can enter nor leave and possible story would be a work to break outside.
They're a free Stalker faction. A small one, but they are distinct. As their name implies, they make a living sifting through the radioactive waste for things to find and sell.

Stalker story is for me one of top tier storys in the games ever been. Next to deus ex, Witcher, mass effect, cyberpunk 2077, bioshock or Fallout.

Thank you, I appreciate it.
I really like your Cyberpunk videos, so I wouldn't mind more Stalker content from you, especially since it's my favorite game series :)
Good job bird person, this is actually a lore video instead of being a satirical take on the game
Goated for this

So You missed Lost Alpha....😉
By the way, great video!

Really great summary.

I was hoping to hear why the controllers are wearing Levi’s.

Stalker lore epic!
Really liked this video. Immensely helpful for understanding the overarching story. Thank you for speaking clearly and explaining things well
Haha "dooty" 😂
Hearing english-native or at least primary english content creators saying these names makes me laugh every time. :) La-Mensc
An absolutely amazing video. I wonder when the Doctor was actually Faust in disguise. Would you have a theory in mind?
My personal theory is that Faust assumed his form shortly before that last visit that occurs in Strelok's ending. I think the first visit with him is actually the Doctor, but he gets replaced in order to influence Skif into achieving Faust's goals.

This one's for you then 🥂
Just few days back, shuffling through Stalker 2 gameplay short, I was thinking that I could really use Stalker lore roundup to refresh lore...
Well, there you have it!
38:55 where did the STALKER tattoo on his arm go?
A good question
As a ukrainian I'm glad to see this video.
Thank you!
Ivan can eat it! you guys are playing chess while he’s playing checkers
(END BOSS FIGHT SPOILER) maybe I missed it but where did strelock get the ability to teleport and all the crazy shit he does at the end of stalker 2?
Heart of Chornobyl artefact + knowledge that Strelok get at x labs. He can control portals, and matter of zone itself via Heart of Chornobyl artefact.
Stalker 3 in 2048?
If subtle matter isn´t real, how did C-Con know skifs name?
Chicki bricki
Are the diggers same as free stalkers . Why did u call them that?
They're a free Stalker faction. A small one, but they are distinct. As their name implies, they make a living sifting through the radioactive waste for things to find and sell.
