      A good thing for me is the following: I don't trust my luck, or talent. I worked on how to lean with the less force on the ground I can, combinated to the fact that tyres have been made to have the grip... And when we do training course, here, most of the time, it is raining, so, I can test the theorie ;)

    • @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite
      @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite  2 роки тому +6

      I am in first gear :)
      Using the throttle needs some work on it, you have to use it not by rotating your hand, but use only your thumb to create a tension on your throttle, this will increase the speed very gently

    I used to do this a lot on my Ninja 250 last year in a school parking lot until the brake fluid started to boil and I lost the brake (temporarily).
    Had to stop for a while for the brakes to return.
    Do you encounter such a phenomenon ?

      How you lean is the key : on dry surface, no matter how you lean, you will less chance to slide. On wet surface, everything depends on how you are leaning :)
      This means, your technic which is working on dry suirface, may not work on wet surface

    • @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite
      @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, I did, because some friends of mine went there, even if it was not the kind of Moto Gymkhana I like (no sharps turns, and most of the motorycles were modified a lot -no more stop steers). Anyway, it was a big moment of fun, as everybody was very nice :) My place was 19th, I did 2 big mistakes in the second lap (even if the race was easy to memorize, I forgot the trajectory 2 times and I lost time to fix it lol)
      My tires are Dunlopp D212

    It's never clear to me which brake to use when spoken about 'trail braking'. Do you use your front of rear brake during the turns?
    Techniques shown in the video look great as always. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

    • @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite
      @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite  2 роки тому +5

      For me, trail braking can be donbe with both brakes, it depends on what you want. Front brake helps the bike to lean better, by removing the self balance effect of the bike, and it helps to reduce the radius by reducing the wheel base. But you have more chance to fall, if you stop the rotation of the handlebar when you are braking. Rear brake helps to rotate faster and is more stable. It is better to start with it.
      After training, you can use both :)

    Are you using the clutch when you brake and turn? Or is all this being done with throttle and brake?

    Can you kindly make a video about countersteering?
    Some misguided people are using your low speed maneuvering videos to claim that countersteering is a myth and you can always turn a motorcycle by leaning at any speed.
    Also claiming that Keith Codes No-BS bike videos are lies

    • @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite
      @AntiPiloteDeLigneDroite  2 роки тому +2

      It is already done :)
      ua-cam.com/video/cgtmuS8WFLU/v-deo.html
      Counter steering is not a myth, as it works, but it is not the only way to lean. From what I saw from Keith Codes video was that counter sterring works, but not that anything else work. The fact that he can't lean the bike another way doesn't mean that it is not possible.
      As you can see it in the video, I am able to lean the bike with no counter steering at a higher speed than 50km/h. And I teach this way of riding to my students (I mean to lean the bike without counter steering)
