      While I may not have been a fan of Chapter 4 - my favorites are still the first two - I love the chemistry these three characters had. Even if we may not have Keanu appearing in the next film as this one complete his character's arc really well, I hope to see some more of Mr. Nobody and maybe even Caine if they do the route of him versus Akira.

      @@LeonWick526 if you don’t mind, just some knowledge on Chinese cursing culture here. Beijing swearing curses the subject of low class background. For example, the word “ya” (丫)is used which means very lady servant.
      Shanghai swearing curses the subject of property for example “sho ce lo” (小赤裸)means naked, too poor to have clothes on, “sho pe se” (小瘪三)means empty stomach.
      While Cantonese swearing likes cursing of bad fortune. Here “pok gai” (扑街) means tripping. “Ham ga chan ” (冚家产)means death of the entire family.
      Hope this helps.

    • @machdude3366
      @machdude3366 Рік тому +122

      In many ways, Caine is Wick's foil in this film. He's a close range fighter to John's long range. He is a reluctant fighter to John's ruthless nature. Where John's goal is self driven, Caine is trying to save another. But in this scene, you can see another side as well. While John is somber and focused, Caine is sarcastic and flippant. You can also see it in their fighting style. John is methodical and takes no chances (he has talent, but is built on practice) while Caine fights like he is dancing and liberally flourishes in a fight, not because he's showing off, but because he's literally just that good (he is very skilled, but you can see that this is his nature).

      His difference compared to John is that he attacks very aggressively compared to John's methodical precision. Being blind actually makes it seem like he is also taking more risks as well since he has to attack wider to increase his chances of hitting. As a result of this, he looks like he's dancing in combat because he actually has to commit to the attack. That being said, his assurance in his own ability is built from experience and talent as he can still put up such a fight despite his disability.
      His story is that he gave up his sight to get out of the business. You can see the shift in his movements when he is at rest vs. in combat. You can see him feeling himself in battle while he was in the kitchen fight. His moves flow into each other and he is liberally using dynamic movements that others would hesitate to use and only pulling back when he can deliver a relatively nonlethal hit. This is in contrast to when he fights in Keela's lounge where he ruthlessly weaves his way through his assailants.
