The first one had the most fitting face an was the best actor, the one you mention looks like he's anorectic, the current mountain has the physique and is the most iconic, but isn't really an actor. Luckily he doesn't have to act anymore. :p
+Johnnythefirst I think the same. Besides, although his size and physique, he have a baby face, he looks too much like a gentle giant. The first actor was a real beast.
The first Gregor Clegane actor was so perfect. Gigantic and absolutely terrifying. The new icelandic actor is certainly huge but he doesn't really look all that scary, he kinda looks like a decent fellow.
Yeah, this is the 3rd actor playing the mountain now. Strange, as he is in so few scenes. I read the first guy had to work on the hobbit, and the 2nd is still playing parts in GoT such as giants for example.
He basically did win as he poisoned the Mountain with Manticore Poison. Oberonused another substance to slow down the poison as he didn't want to show mercy to the Mountain.
+XxAUSSIEGAMERxX How did he win when he died?? dosn't matter if the mountain dies, he only gets somewhat justice for his sister and her children for that, but that dosn't mean he won the fight.
Conan was definitely my favorite mountain. Dude just screamed "Don't fuck with me". The latest mountain, I just want to high five and and go kitten shopping with.
why you think the other two were not in later episodes ? did they ask for too much money ? I mean who is too busy with other commitments for game of thrones ?
My favorite mountain is the first one , that vicious face inside inside the helmet , perfect enough for me , and that epic line : Sword ! don't know why they decided to change it .
Everybody cries about the second actor, actually he is a very good actor. He just helped out playing the role of Gregor, for example he is also the actor of the giant Wun Wun or of a White Walker, he worked in many roles and did a very good job at it.
He's actually my favourite of the three. Id rather they just used camera trickery or didn't bother portraying his hugeness from the books. Someone who can portray his violence and cruelty>someone huge

The first Mountain Actor was very tall, muscular, brut and had good expression. He was perfect as Mountain. Other 2 actors were tall and Hafthor was bulkier 2 but their expression was always same...
The mountain is taller than Robert, in terms of muscle and strength they might be evenly matched. In technique i think Robert is ahead with his training at a young age. But the deal-breaker is the weapon. A bastard sword wont do much against an armored knight. But a blow from Robert with his warhammer to the head will rattle you.
@@lars7747 The Mountain would absolutely destroy literally anyone who isn't a giant or magical being. Robert was strong, but not superhumanly strong like Mountain. With his warhammer, he would have better odds than with a greatsword, bit considering the length, weight, width, and size of the wielder, it's fair to say Gregor could easily rattle someone in a full harness. My bets on Robert with his warhammer, but Gregor wouldn't be easy by any metric, especially given that Gregor, despite being dim, is a pretty good fighter using strength alone.
Oberyn: "Confess! You watch the video! YOU LIKED! YOU HIT SUBSCRIBE! SAY IT!" Gregor: "Got REWIND! I HIT SUBSCRIBE! THEN I LIKED IT! THEN I WATCHED THE VIDEO! WITH POPCORN!"
I was on a university trip through Iceland in 2012 when we met Björnsson outside the Reykjavik bank, working as security. Suffice to say, it's hard to appreciate just how fucking enormous he is when he's on screen. The guy's arms are literally the size of tree trunks, and his hands big enough to drive railway spikes with no tools.
The scene where Gregor cut off his horse's head reminds me of the quest in Witcher 3 - blood and wines, Geralt chases a black horse, at the end of the chase he battle with hounds and found a knight of the black horse. The knight said he got angry because he lost the duel so he cut off his horse's head.
7:49 The first actor for Beric Dondarrion only had a short time on screen, but I love his depiction. Just immediately gives off the impression that Lord Dondarrion is an honourable, loyal, brave guy.

Looking at these comments about all the actors and trying to find the right mountain. The first mountain, he was good in body shape and appearance but for only acting as a side character and only for two episodes for the first season, I can see why he gave up that role to play as Bolg in the Hobbit movies. The second one, he had the face, voice and height (7 ft 1) but didn't have the body shape. However, I think I can see that he was only a 'quick find new actor". I think they only cared if he had the height and the face, for the time being. But then moved on to playing other characters wearing costumes as that's more his thing as he was known for playing the predators in both AVP (alien vs predator). And the third one, he had everything, body, face, voice though he is the shortest out of them all being under 7ft. I think the directors ignore the height and focused on appearance this time which was for the best as he is after all the strongest man in the world. Why not play as the strongest (in strength) in Game of Thrones?
just noticed, he gave Sansa a Red Rose. A Red Rose is the symbol of the House Of Lancaster in Medieval England. the real Game Of Thrones was the English Wars Of The Roses, the house of Lancaster Red Rose and House of York the White Rose both fighting for the right to the throne. I wonder if that Red Rose he gave Sansa was a reference to the Wars Of The Rose hinting that the Lannisters are the Lancastrians
The Sallet type helmet used by Sir Hugh was not equipped with a bevor (medieval neck guard), which would've protected his neck, and would've saved him. But I guess pride before the fall, not to mention the Mountain is a sadistic psycho just like Joffrey.
Akaviri Commander Mishaxhi Of course he did, he's a fucking psychopath. But it's not like he would've done it without being ordered to do so. That's my point :)

I love Bjornsson, but Stevens definitely was THE BEST mountain for the part. He's by far the tallest and most physically intimidating (just being 3 inches taller than thor) and he does look mean as hel. He did well for the part.

The Height of the Second guy (Ian)
The Width & Strength of the third guy (Hafthor)

Ser Gregor Clegane is a delightful gentlemen / zombie. I wonder how Ayra will deal with him given that she wants to cross Cersei off her list and the mountain is always shadowing her.
6:25 Is that guard on the right Peter Dinklage?
what's funny is when the clegane brothers are fighting everyone's got their popcorn and beer ready lol , joffreys like this the shit right here
Wow I forgot how perfect the first actor for the mountain was. Too bad he didn't stay. What a monster of a man!
lol We Lift. Look up 'heavy bubbles the mountain' to see the mountain lift.
I love Bjornsson, but Stevens definitely was THE BEST mountain for the part. He's by far the tallest and most physically intimidating (just being 3 inches taller than thor) and he does look mean as hel. He did well for the part.
God damn the Hound is so badass
if you stop the video at 26:41, its a happy ending :D
Who was the mountain that fought Oberyn he was amazing!!!
