Yeah I loved them lol. I liked the touching scene where after the walk of attonment, Qyburn is the first to genuinely comfort her and check her feet for wounds and cover her. And they were a devlish duo. Really liked them together too
qyburn is just very impressive. he went from being left for dead in harrenhal to being a superior maester to Pycelle, and a competent master of whisperers. he must feel like the luckiest men alive to change his fortune so quickly. littlefinger and varys have gone a long way from their beginnings but qyburn's rise in court was meteoric .
+sumerian88 I like him as well. His knowledge of resurrection has him on a level with Thoros of Myr, Melissandre and the White Walkers on the cutting edge of the mysteries of life, death and rebirth. Perhaps if he had access to a White Walker or wight corpse, he could discover how the White Walkers raise the dead to create their and possibly orchestrate a new means of defense or offense against them.

You know this show makes Qyburn a much more likable character as compared to in the books. I mean his wiki page describes him as being very sadistic with his experiments and he's renowned by Cersei as the new castle torturer, even going so far as to experiment on innocent men and women (usually servants) that displease Cercei in some way. I feel as though the TV adaptation somehow understates just what he's capable of doing to a human being.

Qyburn is the real mastermind behind everytinhg good has happened to the lannister recently. He was the only one there after the walk of shame to confort and help Cersei. He save The Mountain and made him a killing machine, and posibly the deadliest allied to the now proclaimed Queen. He set up all the burning of the last episode. When the time comes and Dany arrives to Kings Landing he will be probably the only one smart enough to prepare a plan to defend his queen. Great, great character
These comments aged well. Lol. It's amazing to look back at what people were hoping for. Your random UA-cam comment is better writing than the last three seasons of the show. Qyburn got a lame death. It should have been way more epic and fitting for such a mastermind.
This video is great. I've forgotten so much of this (or at least Qyburn's part in it). Just goes to show how great the writing is. I just love how even the most minor characters are woven so masterfully into the plot. There's barely a wasted sentence in George RR Martin's work.
You'd think that someone could build some sort of weaponized prosthetic for Jaime. It would be far different than wielding a sword, but probably more effective than relearning with your left.
+Serendra Hardu He does make a remark that a hook would be more practical, but being a weapon master is exactly that; you are a master with the chosen weapon, or weapons, but everyone has their preference and the right choice for them. The show makes a good point of demonstrating parries, strikes, slashes and attacking from various angles with different angles of the blade; for example, with the flat of the blade in a wide arc to daze and knock your opponent off guard when a simple slashing attack wouldn't even penetrate their armour. Jaime is (was?) a sword master. It is the weapon of the Kingsguard. Perhaps if he has a bit more like Bronn, or didn't have that base arrogance and swagger, he would adapt to a new style and new weapon much quicker, such as a shield attachment and left handed short sword, but a man needs to show off.
Arun R. He's a Maester (or at least once was) and they serve whoever holds a particular position. When Theon took Winterfell, Maester Luwin became his maester because he served whoever was Lord of Winterfell.
I was thinking some type of small buckler shield or a small sword, dagger , the weight would have to be leveraged up to the elbow. Maybe even a tiny tomahawk

And how he was nice to kids even if it was for personal gain..he could blackmailed them into working for him with fear and threats. .NOPE! He offered a sense of false hope /protection I call that being nice..just saying.
Yes, he was originally going to say "Jaime Lannister sends his regards". But the line was changed because they didn't want viewers to think that Jaime had anything to do with the planning of the red wedding
I really love Qyburn. It's tempting to call him a psychopath for what he does to people and how calmly he does it. But it's clear he _does_ care about people. He just cares about knowledge and mad science far, far more.
I've always thought of Qyburn, and Osha as reflections of each other. With the way they both end up developing a very ernust loyalty for another character/house.
If I can add some input... One has to wonder why Qyburn didn't just send the mountain to rescue Cersei. Seeing as the Hound was barely able to kill him, a bunch of punk sparrows could not have stopped him.
realy Qyburn shoud make a new prosthetic maybe arrows from the palm and a bild in sword Qyburn is a freak in the books but i like him in the series he is commited to his work and has a realy calming voice too

Qyburn's introduction in the show was always weird to me. Why was he the maester of Harrenhal if he had been stripped of his chain? How did he survive? Why doesn't he show any animosity towards the Lannisters or Gregor, considering they left him badly wounded?
Martín Lasarte He must have been one of the fellows from a house which was Bannerman to the Tullys. When Cat and the others arrive at Harrenhal while Quyburn is lying there badly wounded she says "My fathers bannerman." Still wouldnt make sense to me as to why Quyburn is now loyal to the Lannisters as they/Gregor were the ones attacking Harrenhal in the first place. In between he even served the Boltons, but they turned against Robb shortly after so.
I always kind of suspected Gregor left him alive in order to infiltrate the Stark army. After all, as grievous as his wounds appeared, a few episodes later he had become the de facto maester of Harrenhal, so they weren't so serious. Maybe that's how Tywin managed to get in touch with Roose Bolton.
why do people keep assuming he is some sort of supernatural undead? I mean, sure, there are supernatural undead in GoT, but since Qyburn was a maester, and both he and his former order represents an early form of science, I feel it's much more likely the mountain is supposed to be a 'medical zombie' (like in, for instance, the Walking Dead). Qyburn even says that he's trying to "save" him but that he will be "changed".
Qyburn is interested in knowledge and in acquiring the resources to further his research. Right now it's Cersei. Truth be told, people would rather be on the healing side of Qyburn because he is an excellent healer instead of the research side which we find repulsive.
his" loyalty" has made me recently question how far will it take him with the new queen. I wonder, with his increasing power. does qyburn have a greater ambition? are his ambitions the same as little finger?
i'm sure his only ambition is to study freely and because Cersei allows him to do so and provides him everything he needs for his experiments, he stays loyal to her.
Qyburn truly has the inquisitive heart of a young child. He keeps it in a jar in his laboratory.
That's really good.

I like Qyburn. At least he's loyal and a good friend to Cersei
Is he, or is he truly loyal to himself? Perhaps he will end up ruling King's Landing with a necromancer cult and an army of undead. That would be cool.

In socionics they are in a relationship of duality, the weakness of one is the strength of the other, Perfect psychological comfort, in other words, they complete each other.
