Mace Tyrell mistakenly refers to Maegor the Cruel as "Maegor the Third" during his conversation with Tycho Nestoris. Maegor was indeed the third Targaryen king though only one of that name, so perhaps that was what he wanted to say. Mace says that Maegor wanted to outlaw usury, arrest anyone charging interest and cut off both their hands. This fits well with character and reputation of Maegor the Cruel and no other kings of that name are mentioned in show related media.
Mace might have been goofy and out of place on the small council but remember that he still managed to get one over on the Iron Bank (something even the smartest characters in GOT think is impossible) and he had a good heart. He'd be a great grandfather
He wasn't made for Kings Landing, it's a shame there couldn't be some way for Olenna to be the head of house (she was secretly, I know, Mace was merely a figurehead) but he was far suited to the simple and could things in life. I'm not even sure if he was aware there is something called the Game of Thrones. 😅

2:17- 3:57 Olenna was hilarious in her descriptions of her son and husband
He seems like a sweet guy and does what his kids want to make them happy (make his sons boyfriend the king, marry his daughter to the king and make her queen), but he does seem to try too hard and kiss up to the Lannister's a bit.
That fart was Pycelle shitting himself, when he sees the mountain after saying he should be put down.
“Fools love a fool” Atleast Mace didn’t kill his family on purpose.
this actor really doesnt get enough recognition for pulling of the role so perfectly
He just seemed like a nice guy tbh
Although she killed her enemies the people must hate her for not only avoiding her trial but for killing innocent bystanders and exploding a part of the city.
And why did no one rebel after Cercei nuked a part of the city?
CrimsonPimp.LV I think it’s because no one knew it with her
@@Teslagg129 I'm pretty sure everyone knew it was her. It's not like there were a whole bunch of random people wandering around who could have done it instead.
Dumb and dumber said no to the god of good writing
Honestly, how could Tywin thibk Tyrion is an embarrassment when you've got Mace Tyrell wandering around?
Tomon's coronation looked like putting a crown on a marshmallow.
0:37 jaime is just like... uhhh.... get on with it
Yes, it is called acting. They shot a close up of him so we, the audience, could all see that and recognise the expression (because the producers assumed we are all functional human beings).
But yeah good job putting a sticky note on it.
I love how everytime Joffrey sips from the goblet after the "play" Olenna just stares at him almost smiling
Sup Kevin. What it do? Personally, am not a big fan of the rewinds but, I can appreciate a few of them. I love your other vids. Thanks for the work, Dude. Happy to be one of your subs.
Cersei nukes the most holiest cathedral in the Seven Kingdoms and commits religious heresy then the next season the people adore her. Nice writing.
Giving a like because Olenna is in the video
The king has appointed you master of coin
OOOOOOHHH your grace
Even Jofferey liked him!
Dude was on mushrooms the whole show, but a true gentleman.
21:36 was that Olenna waving her fan at Mace to stand down the army? Seems like she was the real leader lol
It's a shame he didn't speak much, his voice sounds so epic.
Kevin you do a brilliant job with these. Keep up the good work. Liked and subbed...
takes his L's like a champ
Mace might have been goofy and out of place on the small council but remember that he still managed to get one over on the Iron Bank (something even the smartest characters in GOT think is impossible) and he had a good heart. He'd be a great grandfather
He wasn't made for Kings Landing, it's a shame there couldn't be some way for Olenna to be the head of house (she was secretly, I know, Mace was merely a figurehead) but he was far suited to the simple and could things in life. I'm not even sure if he was aware there is something called the Game of Thrones. 😅
He bulldozed the Iron Bank. They were used to schemers and plotters but he went in there without any bullshit and reminded them who was King.
@@Spanner249People underestimate Mace the Ace
I really liked him
lov the video rewinds . keepem up man
Looking at the Tyrell army, I find it quite hard to believe the Lannisters took Highgarden.
Hive Mind many of the Bannermen of the tyrells sided with the tarlys and surprised the tyrells
you forget that daenerys come to westeros with an army of stranger and barbarian. Try to picture that, if a christian king come to retake his kingdom with an army of muslim men at his back, do you think everyone will cheer and pray for him? Dont think so.
The Lannisters took Highgarden because much of the Tyrell army was elsewhere, following through Tyrion’s strategies; no one expected the Lannisters to sacrifice the now-worthless Casterly Rock for a chance to bring down Olenna for good.
@@Darknimbus3 well it wasn't to get rid of olenna it was to steal their gold to buy the golden company, but yeah
Derek Bao Well yeah, that too. But also to get rid of a big rival/enemy
I actually really enjoyed that scene. sucks Mace and the Tyrells had to die.
Great content, man, this story has so many great characters.
I love Olenna Tryrell.....your typical badass granny.
I low key like Mace Tyrell he's cute. He looks like every white people uncle lol
Truth be told he death shattered me . I couldn’t give a shit for the others but mace..most joyful character in the show
"Not now Mace..." sums up his character pretty well
Mace Tyrell is a good dude.
He was actually pretty normal compared to the rest of the snakes
in the Court scene in love the way how mace says "I beg your pardon? you were his what ?"
