I love this style. I kind of don't, it is so over the top with the amount of colours and swirls that I wouldn't like to see every disc like this, but DAYUM when you see one disc like this in a bag. It is awesome. Really compliments a gold stamp as well. 👏🏻
You have been inspiring me to make discs for a while especially with your glue dyes. This style of dye is a bit too noisy and chaotic for me but this is the coolest one I’ve seen so far, keep it up!
Do it!! Ask anything you want and I'll try to answer it. This was a crazy one for sure. I really didn't know if it was going to be good bad or just blah. Cheers!
The Beard Oil Business is barely supporting your disc dyeing obsession isn't it? Haha! Also I'm not one of those weird finger people but I look forward to when you can incorporate your better half into a video. Always a pleasure watching your stuff sir. 👊
Hahahaha! Hecka funny. I do like making the beard products. They work well. I'm trying to get her in there, she is like no way, now there is an allure to it. Hahahaha. I'm like okay, sounds good. I'll sneak her in sometime.
Holy s***! Looks so good! Been looking through 90% of your videos now. Got inspired so ordered stuff so I can try this out. Got a question for you tough, have you ever tried white glue? Accidentally bought white so just want your opinion on the whole thing. Pros and cons 😁
Wow! Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate it. I have used white glue, it's just not as good as clear. For some reason it makes the dies a little bit more muted than the clear glue. To be honest I'm not sure why it does it, but white glue just makes things a little bit less vibrant. You can definitely use it with no problems. It just won't be as great as clear glue. Ask anything you want, I'll answer it. Super stoked you got some supplies coming. Cheers!
any advice on how to dye a white disc a new base color with Prochem? I am looking for a clean solid uniform base color. most tutorials I have found use i-dye or the rit synthetic, but your prochem colors look so much more vibrant.
For sure. You can do a method called a hot dip. You get a pan and put it on a stove or a hot plate with a pan on it (not in the kitchen, lol....could get messy). Mix 1 tsp of your desired color in 16.oz of water. Pour that water and dye mixture into the pan just enough to float the disc. Heat it up to where you just get steam off or the top of the dye mixture. Turn the heat off. Float the disc for 5 minutes Lift it up and set it back down to get any bubbles out. Check the disc everyone in a while, maybe every 10 minutes to check the color. If you like then you're done. If not dark enough then put it back in. If the solution gets cold, just heat it back up and do it all again until the color you want is there. It's the easiest way to change the color of a disc.
@@SargsHappyLittleDiscs Thanks Sarge! So prochem can be used with water rather than acetone? I thought the acetone was needed for better penetration of the plastic.
No worries, ask anything you want and I'll try and answer it. For glue beds you mix the dye with acetone. For hot dipping, like we are just talking about, you want to mix it with water and just float a disc in the water to change the color.
Thanks! You know, to be honest, I have no idea. I've thought about this very question, I just don't know. There may be something slightly to it. What have come up with is... The floetrol is the only part touching the disc but the glue is being heated from underneath. I'm thinking the heated glue may help with the floetrol transfer onto the disc. I really don't know, just a hunch.
Hey bud … I’m doing a cell dye ( UV) this weekend… a cup pour. I can’t find anywhere what would be a good mixture of quick coat to Floetrol .. Like if I was doing 4oz Floetrol cups .. suggestion on the quick coat to add, or is it just by eyesight
If you're going to add a little quick coat to your floetrol mixture to get the UV aspect, just add about a dropper full. Full. You don't need a lot. And will make your dye extremely UV reactive.
Thanks for the compliment. I don't normally stock discs to dye, I do have a few though. But if you want something specific died you can send it to me and I'll do it up for you and then ship it back. Email me at Sargshappylittlediscs@gmail.com
Used up one of my dropper bottles of the 1 oz acetone and the 1/4 teaspoon dye. And it’s very thick towards the bottom. What do you to it before u add the new mix again? I tried adding a little acetone and shaking it around but still looks like lots of residue in there.
That's okay that there's residue dye powder at the bottom. You can just keep adding more acetone until that powder is completely used up. The acetone will only take on so much of the dye. Once you start getting around halfway down the bottle just add some more acetone and shake it back up.
Ahhhh, thanks! I appreciate it. So.for the UV green I do a few different colors... Pro chemical and dye Neon lemon zest then chartreuse and green worm dip.

Yeah!! I'm so with you. It's just so far over the top that I love it but don't want all of them like it. Cheers!
Love it. Worth the 40oz. Of color. ESP zone deserves the extra attention.
Hahahahaha. I feel you, I love a zone! It was worth it. Cheers
Happy First Birthday, Sarg's Happy Little Discs!!🧁🥳🎈
Ahhhh. Love you!
Congrats bud, and sweet lookin Zone! Hope you have another year of excellent dyes ahead of you!
Thanks Alex! I appreciate it. Cheers

What to do? Should have stopped right there is what to do!
It really did turn out great in the end though, nice one.
Lol! I do have a problem going too far on some of these. Haha!
Another Awesome Job! Have you ever used floetrol dyes in a lotion bed?
Sorry, just saw this. I haven't done that. It would TOTALLY work though.
