Super cool. I have not had good luck with opto plastic that is transparent ish. But I believe it’s leaving them in the dye longer will do the trick. Cheers!
This is Floetrol, similar to lotion but much more workable. Anyway, it sits for about 1 hour. You can go longer if you go less heat. I use heat at around 105 give or take.
Wicked! With Floetrol you don't need to let it sit for 24 hours? Did you have any silicone oil in the dye mix? How much dye to Floetrol? Sorry for so many questions but discs are expensive to keep having failures. 😕
Sorry for the late reply. Nope, they can sit for as little as 1 hour... But 3 hours is great at 102 degrees. No silicone in this one. I use 1 tsp per 16 oz of floetrol. Sometimes I'll go 1.5 - 2 tsp per 16oz of floetrol when I use lighter colors.
@@SargsHappyLittleDiscs Thanks for the reply. When I do Floetrol in a glue bed there ends up being a texture type film left on part of the disc. I haven't been able to get it off? I have tried soap and water, alcohol, and acetone? 😒 Have you ever experienced this? For black I am using Rit DyeMore with very little acetone and it doesn't do crisp lines but spreads out. Any suggestions?
I haven't ran into the texture type stuff, sometimes I get small little bumps on some glue beds. They usually wash off though. I haven't used RIT before. I've only used pro chemical and dye along with idye poly.
Thanks nits definitely not necessary to add the street floetrol in first. My split cup is 16 oz so that will be plenty. I also don't fill the cop up all the way so I'm probably using 12 to 13 oz of pigmented color. I use the straight floetrol in the beginning just to get the pigmented color to flow easily on the start of the poor.
It's 16oz. I do only fill it to about 12 or 13 oz though. If you can find a 16 oz or, I think that's the way to go. Then you can fill it just below the rim and get 13 or so ounces. If you fill it all the way up to the top, it might kind of be hard to pour the first couple ounces.
So good! Do you use a chicken egg heat lamp? How far away roughly to maintain 104*? Also is the colored goo also floetrol? I love the newer techniques you're doing. Also your new frenchie pupper is so sweet!
Ahhh, thank you. I appreciate it. The heat lamp is a reptile lamp. Just picked it up from Amazon. It's a 250 watt lamp. To keep it at 104 I move it up and down until it settles in. Takes about 20 minutes to settle in but always sits at 104.
I can. Search on thingverse for split cup though. It may just be easier to pick one off of there. If you can't find one, I'll send you the file. You can email me at Sargshappylittlediscs@gmail.com
That's my favorite disc you've done!
Thank you! Appreciate it
Oh man I gotta try this technique! This is definitely in the top 3 of the coolest discs you’ve dyed!
Oh, thank you. I do love doing this style, just don't do many videos of them. But again, thanks I appreciate it.

I think you are right as well. I'd say even longer than 2 hours may be okay.
Hell yeah, that's a great dye job there good sir 🤘🏼
Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Cheers
Dope work! 👌🏻
Thanks Miro!
Looks awesome! Great work Sarg keep it up!
Right on! Super stoked you like it. I hope it flies amazingly for you. Cheers brother
Love it! 🙌🏽🔥
Thanks Mark. Appreciated brother.
Sweet CHEERS
Thanks! Cheers!
How long to let your discs sit in the lotion? And do you use any type of heating?

this looks rad! how much powder dye are you mixing with floetrol for each color? ive got some blank glow discs that i cant wait to try this on
Thank you very much. I'm mixing in 1 tsp of dye to 16 oz of floetrol. You've got to mix it super well. I use a paint mixer on my drill.
Do you do commissions or are these strictly for content?

Sick disk! Is it necessary to add the floetrol in the pan first, or is that just to make sure you don’t bottom out?

Looks great!!! Is that a custom DIY cup, or something off the shelf?
Thanks. I printed the cup. If you have access to a printer, I can send you the file.
@@SargsHappyLittleDiscs thanks! No printer here, but it looks like Amazon and Etsy have them. How many ounces is that one you're using?
I'd go with Etsy. Some nice options there. I'll measure mine now.....stand by

@@SargsHappyLittleDiscs awesome, thanks! I've got some white F2's to try this out on!
How long did you leave this disc in the bed?
These get left in for about an hour to two hours at 104 degrees Fahrenheit

Are you in Oregon?
No, we are in California.
Saw the compost bucket! 😁🤘
Ahh, yes!
Could you please send the file to the 3D printed cup?

@@SargsHappyLittleDiscs Ok I will do that, thanks man!
For sure. Cheers
How many oz does your split cup hold?
16. I fill it to about 13-14 though.
Thanks! Great dying and videos. Love watching these
Thanks for checking them out. We appreciate it. Cheers
What dye is this
I use Pro chemical and dye along with idye poly and worm dip. This was all mixed in floetrol.
