- Today we are testing out a ukulele with sound effects that make it sound like it's amplified (even though it is not)! This is the first time I have ever played a ukulele like this. The ukulele has reverb, chorus, delay and a volume knob. You can use these effects on their own or in combination with each other.
I invited my friend, Timmy, to help me with this review because I wanted the feedback from a ukulele performer.
This ukulele is being released at the NAMM show and will hit the market soon. As soon as it's out, I will let you know. Flight said they'd have a discount code for my viewers. The discount code will be Plazi.

Oh my god. The ukulele sounds incredible! Flight never seems to dissappoint. I loved that you two did the review together! And that moment when Timmy played the amplified uke and you strummed on a regular ukulele... I have no words. It sounded beyond amazing.
Timmy and I were pretty impressed with this ukulele. We couldn't believe the sound!

Thanks so much for posting this video. I fell in love with the soundwave concept and sound based upon your video then I went over to Barry Maz's review at Got A Ukulele for a follow up and all the specs in his written review. Within a matter of days I ordered mine from Flight and expect it in about a month. I might never have know about these amazing acoustic effects, especially the delay without amplification, if it hadn't been for your review. I will do an unboxing and post it on my channel when it arrives.
Impressive! This DIANA sound is so great, so fantastic and incredible. This ukulele, type Diana, is worth considering. We actually have enough instruments around 30 guitars, 5 ukuleles ... accordions. I actually wanted to buy a new keyboard now, but now it says
DIANA on my birthday wish list.

This is absolutely bizarre! I have just been on MusicRoom website looking at this Ukulele and then spotted your video. Wow! It sounds amazing. I am with Timmy, I am not keen on effects but they are nice to have if you fancy a change now and again. I wish they did Concert size as well as Tenor. Thank you for the video :)

HI bernadette, i'm a follower from france and i have question for you i began play uke since 6 month , i'm left handed player and for that i reverse the string, do you think that i can play this one with the bottom effect on the floor? and... this is a concert size or a tenor? actually i have 2 uke my fist one is a Vgs soprano and the another one is a kai kti 700 . i have to say a specially thank's to you because of your teaching i'm able to sing a little bit while i play and this is a great and wonderful step for me. excuse if my english is approximate but i want to make the effort to writting to you without translator. and before i go i have a last shy demand to you : i like many kind of style of music but i would also like too learn some french songs, the french ukulele communauty player is smaller and often they no have use too teach alternativ french songs. So, perhaps one time it would be possible to you to teach one of them, i would be very surprise and incredibly happy to share with you a little part of some beautiful french song and to be able on my part to sing it... by the way i send you all the good you make me feel in my ukulele journey, thank's Bernadette for your amazig share !

Wow!! Bernadette That's is a pretty Cool Ukulele With all Effects include. This is the first I've heard Ukulele sound like that one. I'm sure it has a battery built in. I really like watching your Course Challenges. I'm not greatest player yet. That one sounds Amazing.Take care Ian
yes, it has a battery and you charge it with a USB cable :)

@@antonioasencio2647 the makers say that it's 10 hours, but everyone was playing it for 4 days straight at NAMM and it stayed charged :)
Was this before, or after the Lava U? To my ear, the effects seem to be a little more sharp and crystal than the Lava? Hats off to Tim, he's great ... and the duet was FANTASTIC.

I can't find the Diana Soundwave in the US, only the older standard acoustic-electric model. Any advice on where I might buy it online, from a good music store that does setups?
That's amazing for a uke that cost only a little over 300 USD. If only I really could sound as good as Timmy, I'd pay 10 times that amount.

I play guitar left handed and I plan to play ukulele left handed. Since there are so few left handed ukes I asked a music shop if they would restring a right handed uke to be a left handed uke. They said they would, but that it would cause damage to the uke over time because of it putting tension on the wrong places. I'm wondering if you know how long it would take to damage the uke? There's no left handed ones that I really want, but I'm worried I will have to buy one because I don't want to cause damage to a right handed one.
