Ownership in our culture often gets viewed as a legal thing. When in reality, I think it's whoever has control over the thing. That's the owner. New computers are owned by the manufacturers. Spot is very likely manufactured in such a way that it's true owner will be boston dynamics, or whoever holds the key to the back door.

One gripe with this video - if you are trying to market towards first responders, I can't imagine they want to see a Spot that's fresh off the assembly line. Show one that has been through hell and back, and can keep up in punishing environments. I want to see Spot dirty, scratched, dented, repaired, etc. You've published videos with test units that have clearly taken quite the beating, use one of those in your marketing!

Reading the article really does paint how useful something like Spot can be in public sevices. Search and rescue, bomb defusal, descalation... Its all truly interesting.
