I got the free month of FSD but, for the most part, did not like it • It slowed down way too late for stop signs and off ramps. Then almost slamming on the brakes to stop. I keep my regenerative braking at low, so the wife is more comfortable. I changed it back to Standard but FSD still had to use brake to stop. It would be nice to have the option only to use regenerative braking like I normally drive. I did disengage and recorded “What happened?” many times • FSD also kept increasing speed on a 2-lane 55mph road to 65mph even though my speed offset is set to 4 mph over posted, when I disengaged and recorded “What happened?” many times. • I loved the automatic lane change feature and the over-all navigation to destinations.

The fact that they have a lever they can keep fiddling with as when the numbers on the production and demand side are not in balance is fantastic. And that it can be managed almost on a real-time basis is amazing since legacy automakers took a long time to figure these things out

Long time listener, first time commentator... It's easy to see FSD is the future, and props to Elon and Tesla for their efforts to conquer it! I'm interested to hear your take on the following: If achieving level 5 autonomy with FSD is indeed as valuable/profitable as Elon claims, why not extend the 1-month free trial to 1-year or even until the final product is ready? It’s free neural network training and would be so easy for them to do. Then, this exponential value add to the company would come sooner AND potentially save lives! It seems like a no-brainer! 🤯
i doubt inventory models are only cars that weren't taken delivery of. Changing the paint shop takes time. They know the popular combos so when they need to build a variant in a color, they just hammer out a good number of them. q1 24 didn't see 30,000+ people not take delivery. they built a large number that no one ordered in anticipation of being able to deliver.
Now that FSDb has been fixed and is working reasonably, it does make the screaming goat noise more significant, (since the passengers won't be making that noise any more).
I feel if they sell the cars like it's an Uber ride with a “peak charge” it might be more of a balance and coherent. (another example would be like Singapore's COE which changes monthly but peg to more or less a 3-month average "stock")
Wait just a darned minute here: @12:10 Jesse mentions that his friend changes his Cybertruck visualization every week? How in the hell did a random friend get a Cybertruck before you guys??? You were one of the first in line ordering it at the reveal event. WTF? That's the other thing. How did Kim Kardashien (sic) get a truck before you guys? I bet a bajillion dollars she didn't order her truck on event night.
I have FSD V 12.3.4. It's doing something crazy like phantom braking. On a clear unobstructed Interstate with 70 mph speed limit, it will periodically show a 40 mph speed limit (below legal limits) and start slowing down to that value (like phantom braking). In usually less than a 1/4 mile, it picks the 70 mph speed limit up again and continues. This is a safety hazard and needs to be fixed.
Most likely google has that speed limit on that section of the road 40 MPH. I don't have a Tesla so I can't verify this but you may be able to do the following to see if google maps is the problem. I have no idea if this will work on the car but you can always use a phone, tablet or PC. Select your account icon in the upper right corner Select Settings Select Navigation Scroll down, and toggle on to Show speed limits
@@brianbeasley7270 It's literally the problem. The car thinks it's 40, so it tries to go 40. I have a construction area that somehow trips the speed limit change because of a highway exit sign.
@@michaeldew7904 I understand that the car thinks it is 40 mph speed limit. But there is nothing in the areas to make it think that on an open freeway. At any rate, whatever is causing this needs to be addressed.
No, not necessarily. Some people take choose jobs with less hours or less responsibility because they actually value the time with their family more than a high paying job.
He knows the next few quarters will be really really rough. Elon recently said the company is getting ready to go into "wartime mode", i.e. balls to the wall 80 hour work weeks. The dude wieghed his options and decided he would have a better quality of life at home
It does. I assume they were not ok with the way the changes were happening. It was previously revealed Elon wanted the 25k car not to have a steering wheel and they were able to push back then, not now with the of prioritization of autonomy.
FSD or even the basic adaptive cruse on highways needs improvement yet, once they have updated this code stack, i wouldn't mind trying it again, until then however it's manual driving for me. mostly because i dont mind driving, but secondarily because of the phantom braking, that is completely unacceptable to have happen (at any time imo)
my dad ordered a tesla, then missed a phone call or something to take delivery so got notification of the order being cancelled, so went back and instead bought an inventory car that happened to be exactly what he ordered. so basically tesla botched the delivery and ended up selling the same car to the same person for less
About the FSD.. i still think it's a wiser/better idea just to pay monthly than lifetime.. if price changes occur, its more easier to accept the price changes.. plus, you cannot even transfer my fully paid FSD if i buy a new TESLA.. doesn't make any sense to buy the FSD for life anymore.. hopefully, if the current price is 8K, but you bought yours for 15K, some sort of rebate is in order..

Food for thought in the interest of "keeping it real". Heat Pumps in EVs are more efficient. Rivians and Fords do not have heat pumps. When Rivian and Fords adopt heat pumps, our beloved large frunks will be greatly reduced (a trade-off that WILL happen). Brands/vehicles with heat pumps are: Nissan, Chevy (GM), Toyota Prius HEV (that surprised me), BMW, Audi, Tesla, Porsche (part of VW Group), Skoda (VW group), Hyundai Group (including R1S' direct competition the EV9), and Jaguar (Tata Motors).
You don't understand FSD. When the $25k plan was being developed Elon insisted it would have neither steering wheel nor pedals. That means that FSD had to be included in the $25k, so was essentially FREE.
He said multiple contradictory things. He also said the model Y might not have a steering wheel. He also said that current cars would be the "robotaxis". It's only recently that robotaxi refer to a particular product. Also, it makes absolutely no sense that the 25k car and the robotaxi are on the same platform. One has to be optimized for production costs the other not nearly to the same extent. Robotaxi need first to be optimized so that they can even be possible... then try to make then cheaper.
@@Nine9Hundred00 It makes PERFECT sense to share the platform. Why? Because the best way to drive price down is to produce more of a single type. That applies to everything from.... Coffee stirrers to Space Rockets. Modular, Durable, high production is a requirement for both vehicles.

Go to software from the main screen, press the highlighted blue “additional vehicle information” message, a message box will appear showing additional info about your Tesla. I have the intel Atom on my 2021 LR Model 3 and my wife has the AMD Ryzen on her 2024 LR Model Y.
Reason sales have dropped so much in Norway/Sweden is the "kroner" local currency losing 1/2 of its value against the Dollar making all Tesla cars "Twice as expensive" making most wait buying a Tesla until government have resolved the economy in these countries !!!
Thats why companies advertise Jessie and have a huge pr department. That is how you let people know.
Thanks for all you vuys do
Jim’s video stating the 110 adapter only gives 3 miles per hour is incorrect. Why didn’t you question it since the data is out there?
Another fun show!
You talk about how nice it was to get the free 30 day trial of FSD, I have yet to see it on my 2022 MYP! Should I expect to receive this still, or is it gone with the wind?!
The cybertruck at 47:25 in the video I think is a powder coat job (not a wrap). If you look in the door opening area there appears to be something blocking entry with the company's name on it, also on the pop up tent in the back. If so I'm wondering how a powder coat job will hold up (compared to a custom wrap, even one of the good quality ones). That thing looks SICK!

I listen to NPR very often. don't agree with Elon's comments on NPR being leftist. I think their news show is good straight news unbiased.
Love the news on lithium battery recycling!

Maintenance
Maintenance includes cleaning and greasing the caliper pins for the brakes.
Can one purchase FSD & hold the purchase until a Tesla vehicle is purchased in the future?
The California battery power/grid story was an actual surprise to me.
Yeah but you guys forget to mention that FSD was only $6,000 when you could start ordering Cybertruck 4 years ago
I got the free month of FSD but, for the most part, did not like it
• It slowed down way too late for stop signs and off ramps. Then almost slamming on the brakes to stop. I keep my regenerative braking at low, so the wife is more comfortable. I changed it back to Standard but FSD still had to use brake to stop. It would be nice to have the option only to use regenerative braking like I normally drive. I did disengage and recorded “What happened?” many times
• FSD also kept increasing speed on a 2-lane 55mph road to 65mph even though my speed offset is set to 4 mph over posted, when I disengaged and recorded “What happened?” many times.
• I loved the automatic lane change feature and the over-all navigation to destinations.
I don't disagree with EVERYTHING Elon tweets, but I certainly disagree significantly with some of it. For example, when he dived deeper into "secure borders" (Who could disagree,") he started ranting about illegals voting and such. Some days he's MAGA, some days not. Distressing.
about FSD - it shud be standard in all new TESLA that any new TESLA, you also get 1-2 month FREE FSD .. then afterwards, you can choose to get the full lifetime FSD or just the monthly FSD..
your FSD price graph should have flat lines - not inclines. add a datapoint with the old price for the day before the price change
16:00 No. Batteries are not a source or supply of any sort. They can only store energy to be released later. That energy has to come from a generation source. Ideally, that source would be wind, solar or hydro, but anything connected to the grid is the reality.
Resist th temptation to run ur fingers when ya jus don’t know wtf ur talkin about………. Batteries discharge energy SUPPLY ing a load is what happens
@@sparkysho-ze7nm 1) learn how to spell.

The problem with musk and musk fanboys like Now you know is that they are so focused on stock price instead of the transition to sustainability. musk has proven time and time again that stock price and his compensation are more important that a rapid change. musk is ruining tesla. he is constantly wrong or lying. his politics is a shit show and now the tesla brand sucks. I have not watched the show in two years. now I come back and they still defend everything musk says about tesla. its time to be more critical boys. tesla should be selling model 3's and model Y's left and right, but musk ruined the brand. cybertruck was a big mistake. its too expensive and too slow to ramp. tesla keeps claiming to revolutionize everything. batteries, FSD, robots, solar roofs, energy storage. yada, yada, yada. can they just start executing on making affordable EVs.
Thank you. Listening again realized the apple phone has the most compute but can't be used because the battery is too small for it to be on all the time. A a car has a big battery and will be monitized unlike an apple phone.
The possible revenue streams for this company is incredible.
The fact that they have a lever they can keep fiddling with as when the numbers on the production and demand side are not in balance is fantastic. And that it can be managed almost on a real-time basis is amazing since legacy automakers took a long time to figure these things out

I have a 2021 refreshed model S and still dont have the one month free or the update for the newest FSD
Im a mostly positive person. But im honest. I used to be able to FF thru Jessy talking, but he is always talking or making silly voices. The harm of having your dad as your best friend is that you dont have a group of guys telling you the truth, just a dad always there to hug you. It is what it is. Good by fellas. Theres other tesla shows.
Price of crippled FSD in UK is still too high for what is does.
Murdoch can go. Fox News continually slams Tesla. I’m a recovering Fox News watcher that finally had enough & figured out their BS.

Long time listener, first time commentator... It's easy to see FSD is the future, and props to Elon and Tesla for their efforts to conquer it! I'm interested to hear your take on the following:
If achieving level 5 autonomy with FSD is indeed as valuable/profitable as Elon claims, why not extend the 1-month free trial to 1-year or even until the final product is ready? It’s free neural network training and would be so easy for them to do. Then, this exponential value add to the company would come sooner AND potentially save lives! It seems like a no-brainer! 🤯
i doubt inventory models are only cars that weren't taken delivery of. Changing the paint shop takes time. They know the popular combos so when they need to build a variant in a color, they just hammer out a good number of them.
q1 24 didn't see 30,000+ people not take delivery. they built a large number that no one ordered in anticipation of being able to deliver.
A lot were at sea including a shipload that was unable to land in Australia due to quarantine for a bug infestation.😊
Select your account icon in the upper right corner
Select Settings
Select Navigation
Scroll down, and toggle on to Show speed limits
@@danharold3087 Thanks but doesn't seem to be the problem.

10:00 great analysis by Jesse, can't remember the last time he ranted like this
Automotive adhesives are widely used in automotive assembly. Glue does not stick to lubricant.
I think you forgot to mention that each customer buying a Tesla is required to sample the FSD. Or am I mistaken?
It's required that the person demonstrating REQUESTS that they try it.
If that person states categorically that they don't, that's the end of it.
If you want, you can do the same thing a Will, but in NH.
In the UK leaving to "spend more time with my family" is a euphemism for being fired. Is this not the same in the US?
Exact same.
Never trust a politician who says that .😊
I’m unsure where you guys got the FSD price history but I believe it is wrong. I got FSD for 3k USD on 10/14/2019
44:40 (X app in Teslas): Be really nice if it includes Grok, with a voice interface, of course.
2200+ super chargers in the US, wondering how many gas stations do we still have?
900 bbbillion?
FSD or even the basic adaptive cruse on highways needs improvement yet,
once they have updated this code stack, i wouldn't mind trying it again,
until then however it's manual driving for me.
mostly because i dont mind driving, but secondarily because of the phantom braking,
that is completely unacceptable to have happen (at any time imo)

my dad ordered a tesla, then missed a phone call or something to take delivery so got notification of the order being cancelled, so went back and instead bought an inventory car that happened to be exactly what he ordered. so basically tesla botched the delivery and ended up selling the same car to the same person for less
Looks like you can put your car in service mode and you can see which chip you have.

Pedal bug was due to a soap that some wag decided to use to lubricate the application of the glued on pedal. It's not clear whether without the soap, the pedal would work without a rivet. I assume the rivet will now be standard, so that people don't freak out.
If anyone complains about the rivet, countersunk screw, tap the pedal, tighten down, unlock nut on the back.
Not going anywhere.
I have a strange feeling that Jessie is slowly tiring of Elon. The pain on his face when reading Elon's tweets or hot-button topics is quite apparent. lol
I sure as heck hope so. This is an EV channel not conspiracy corner
I own 3 Tesla's but I only got fsd on one so far. Do you think my other cars will get it soon or is it once per account
Tesla then started equipping the 2022 Model Y and Model 3 with AMD Ryzen chipsets in the US as well, moving away from the old and slow Intel Atom A3950 processors, despite that the AMD chips were in fairly short supply still.

The easiest way to loose weight is to give up eating white bread and sugary foods as the triglycerides that are the building blocks of bodily fat are made in the liver from excess glycogen which is the storage form of sugar. The starch in bread is just a long chain of glucose molecules.
Great information 👍🏽

It's a 3 minute job that a lot of owners could (will) do themselves.
End of year 2021 is when Tesla switched from Intel to AMD for the processor in the 3 and Y. The 'additional vehicle info' section in software has the info for the car, but if it's a 2022 car or later I'd expect you have it. Tail end of 2021 ... maybe. Older, like my 2018, is Intel.
I think this new referral program might have to do with the new unveiled new model maybe?
Likely... Elon is in full Trolling mode at the moment.
.
I really hope he goes for Reuters in August.
Attention Cyber-PEDAL engineers:
It has been reported that NOT all Cybertruck operators are wearing their Princess Leia plush night time slippers while in the Cybertruck. Future calculations involving pedal designs should eliminate the Princess Leia plush night time slippers from their formulas. Engineers, thank you for keeping your pedals to the metallic structures beneath the Cyber-floor coverings. That is all...
Maybe suspension of the referral program is affected by the job redundancies and the streamlining of the sales setup?

Jobs. I own a small body shop and recently needed to hire another guy. Had about 30 respondents compared to a year ago. Only getting about four or five. So the fact that business is good and we needed to hire another person is contrary to the fact that a lot more people were after that same position we had available.
@@Nine9Hundred00
It makes PERFECT sense to share the platform.
Why?
Because the best way to drive price down is to produce more of a single type. That applies to everything from....
Coffee stirrers to Space Rockets.
Modular, Durable, high production is a requirement for both vehicles.
It seems like lately Elon has his mind on more transitory social issues and his social media platform. None of which is exciting or will make a real difference to anything. Elon was the man who was going to take us into the future . Now his the advocate to post poo poo words freely. anyway here's to hoping elon can put more focus back on the stuff that matters
Perhaps you need to make the channel content broader than 'Tesla Time News'. Tesla is important, but 'market share' for Tesla is dropping, so why not go after a broader viewing base.
I unsubscribed because of this and now only rarely check in on your channel.
I think FSD cost would have to drop. it's better to have 20 people buy in than 3.
