As a retired engineer, computer programmer & systems analyst, I've observed FSD on HW3 as the s/w has evolved. It's fine handling low processing scenarios like highways, but at intersections there is so much data to process it's not processing fast enough to take advantage of breaks in the traffic. In effect it's not keeping up. I get honked at far too often now. HW3 WILL need to be upgraded IMO.
Agreed, although the "pilot monitoring" can tap the accelerator to provide additional information. At present, we're supposed to be paying attention anyhow.
I had a chance to rent a Model Y with FSD for the weekend for a long distance trip. I was already sold on getting a Tesla, this experience just solidified my decision. FSD is already so great it almost drove our trip entirely for us.
I've had a Tesla Model y with FSD for about 8 months and I have a different experience. I don't think FSD is quite ready yet. It still makes crucial mistakes. Especially on navigation. For example several times I've had the model y start to Veer off the highway to an off-ramp even though navigation showed that it should be going straight ahead. This is the 12.5 version and it seemed to have the same problem in 12.3
@@laughinggas5281 I drive FSD everwhere. I have driven it 1000s of miles with absolutely NO SAFETY CRITICAL disengagements. Perfect drive yet again.😅 On X I call myself the FSD Evangelist. I asked the Tesla reps here why new owners either don't buy FSD, or don't use it if they have access to it via the $99 monthly useage charges. (Currently there is another free test.) The the response is that people are afraid of it! Chicken shits are what they are, as there is ABSOLUTELY nothing to be afraid of. It is easy to use and handles the roads so smoothly that riders are amazed how well it drives. If fact they often think I am driving the car! I wish that I could drive the car as well as FSD does. My wife uses it now, and that is the final test of how good it is!🎉 Try it. You come to love it, and would become like me, and give it time and you will never EVER want to drive another car without FSD!!😂
I love your show, but your math about efficiency at 4:40 is wrong. Percentages do not work like that. If a car is 41% more efficient, it does not mean you can reduce the battery pack by 41% and have the same range. Example: 100kw battery * 3.9 miles per kw. = 390 mile range. You reduce the battery size by 41% so it is now 59kw. 59kw battery * 5.5 miles per kw. = 324.5 mile range. You can reduce the battery by 29.07801418439716%. You have to calculate 41/141 not 41/100. Alternatively, look at how less efficient the model 3 is 3.9/5.5. = 29.09090909090909% less efficient.
Harris Ranch serves the best STEAKs IMAGINABLE! If anyone is driving from LA to SF or goes anywhere near Bakersfield or Lost Hills , visiting the restaurant over there is a MUST! You’re welcome
Cyber cab will mostly be running around in cities. Battery EVs get great efficiency and range when not pushing the wind, plus has regenerative braking. So getting approximately 40% higher efficiency, is certainly possible.
12:12 - SALES TECHNIQUE: THE 'PUPPY DOG' PRINCIPLE - As a fledgling salesman in the 1980s, I learned various sales techniques including the one Jesse describes here. It's called 'The Puppy Dog' Principle. The story behind this method is that pet store owners would allow an 'undecided' family to take a puppy home for the weekend to 'test' if their home would be suitable for a pet. If not, the family was welcome to return the puppy, no questions asked. Inevitably, the puppy remained at the family home. This sales technique was swiftly adopted to sell other types of pets and then other classes of products. Used extensively by purveyors of 'white goods', electronics i.e. TV & radio sets, and household furniture i.e. settees & beds.
I’ve worn an Apple Watch every day for 5 years. I thought it was gonna be stupid. I never wore a regular watch. Just find my phone, alarms, fitness/hr tracking and notifications are worth wearing one. You’ll never go back. Still kick myself for never buying the stock. Always felt too late 😂
Hate those "fitness" sensors shoved into every single one, you know it could have been half as thick and have 7x battery time without those "fitness" sensors?
3:40 I hate to keep disagreeing with you guys on AI. Look, I understand you guys are very positive because you've seen the rapid improvement of the new FSD version, but I have to re-assert that this is still not close to actual full self driving. Why do I say this? FSD so far can only drive forward on relatively "controlled", non-malicious road conditions. To achieve real FSD, the AI has to be able to drive backwards competently, handle hazardous conditions (ice, falling debris, etc) at high speed, and handle sabotage by crazy people. What's the cybercab gonna do when people with stickers just go around and tape up the cameras? Unlike humans who can move their heads to look around small obstructions or wipe their glasses when it's fogged up, the car has no hands to remove things stuck over the camera if it even know that that's what happening.
While I'm getting tired after waiting several years since the Roadster's unviel, I'm still super pumped for the next-gen Roadster. Hopefully I'll own it someday!
4:25 seconds in you mention the Model 3 efficiency at 3.4-3.9 miles/kWh. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought Out of Spec just got 4.8 miles/kWh in their 70mph test of the newest model 3 LR? I got 4.8 miles/kWh on my road trip in my 2024 Model 3 Long Range from Cleveland Ohio to Munster Indiana.
@@shaunmwoolley I get better than 3.5 overall in my 2023 MY LR AWD 19” wheels. Though I’ve seen as low as about 2 and as high as 5, depending on wind, temp, driving speed, etc.
That video is so old now it may as well be ancient. In the land of tech, things move fast. Yesterdays gutter crawl educates the next build to never do the same thing, and we are so many versions away from that build it's not even funny. It's not about what FSD did yesterday, it's about what it will do in the future. See the path or get left behind.
This channel has become overly Tesla biased. If another company decides to make an EV, isn't that a good thing? Sure VW could have just made an EV truck (and saved billions)(perhaps they received more than just the Scout name?), but also, that Scout looks awesome. Bucket seats and actual knobs & buttons for humans! Self Driving sounds great, but is it really a good idea to have cars that only self drive? Should something go wrong, how does one manually engage? Anyway, I think VW's Scout concept looks great, and I for one hope they actually build it. About the price, not everybody over promises and under delivers like Tesla. How much was the Cyber Truck supposed to cost again? Oh, and what was the range it was supposed to have? How long have you had that Model X with none of the Full Self Driving? I suppose it doesn't matter as much that you basically gave Tesla an interest free loan, when you own a bunch of stock in the company? Not every Tesla owner owns Tesla stock, so if they actually want to use what they paid for (FSD), they pretty much have to buy a new car. Elon also shouldn't make a big deal when Tesla extends the full self driving (that you paid for years ago but haven't received yet) feature transferability to a new Tesla. That should just be a permanent thing Tesla offers to the early backers of FSD that never received it in their vehicles... You have spoken to some of this, in between fanboying, but I don't think it's understood how horrible this is, especially if Tesla is making as much as you claim. If the Cybertruck is already profitable, why can't the company do a better job servicing their vehicles? How does an individual buy parts to fix their transport? If anything, Tesla has encouraged this same horrible behavior in legacy auto makers, and it really should not be accepted as the norm.
That Scout factory ground breaking ceremony, reminds me of the new local wind farm - where all the dignitaries got together for a wind-breaking ceremony.
Long time viewer here...I love the show guys but the AI/meme clips are too distracting for me and really discourages me from watching the whole show. I wish you would just leave them out. Thanks for all the hard work.
Elon is a genius but his support of the dismantling of the US Democracy is very disappointing. If Trump wins I will delete your show from my favorites. I am tired of Elon's bait and switch tactics. His politics are also half baked. You should deal with this opinion on your show.
@@BenefitOfTheDoubtInquiry Honestly, not good enough. Many countries don't offer a rebate, so a Tesla stays at its list price. I'm a Tesla shareholder and this is one promise to potential customers that I expected to have been kept. Late, I haven't a problem with. Not at all, is not good enough.
I would like to see a model 2 also. I think they might make one though, by putting a steering wheel into the robotaxi, if the car is ready to manufacture well before the FSD is ready for prime time. Tesla won't sit just on it and wait.
@@sarg3146 Musk absolutely ruled that out. If you see Walter Isaacson's biography on Musk you'll read about Elon backing away from the cheap Tesla a few years back, and his Heads of Dept, like Franz, Lars and Drew [now left Tesla] persuaded him otherwise. But he's not been keen on it for a fair old tim, preferring AVs. So he got his way in the end. Maybe Drew Baglino left as a consequence, because he was Elon's right hand man? There, I'm speculating.
Smart Watch Integration: definitely looking forward to Apple Watch integration with the Tesla app. Worst fear is that I lose my phone and then can’t get in the car. Not an issue if you have your key access in your Apple Watch; you really never take your watch off, but you can put your phone down and leave it behind somewhere!
Damn! And car salesmen are usually so trustworthy, their advice is usually gospel.... This deals a huge blow to the shining reputation of car salesmen everywhere. I'm always pleasantly surprised by the amount of Tesla's zipping about Perth.... :)
Elon time has not been in line with when these advancements actually happens. I’m not sold on 2026, I’ll believe it when I see it. Have there been some great advancements? Sure, but it was not inline with Elon’s timeline.
Telsa just allowed my Model Y a free trial of FSD. I drove it from Central Minnesota to Cedar Rapids, IA. The route took me through St. Paul, MN where it failed in a fairly dangerous manner. It missed the correct exit and tried to use another exit but had to cross four lanes of inner city freeway traffic to get to it. It tried to stop on the interstate to allow traffic to pass. I did take over, but had to add roughly a ten mile detour to get back on the route it wanted to take. The next big intervention was driving through a parking lot to the charger in Rochester, MN. It circled the lot twice before I took over as I could see the charger in the northwest corner of the parking lot. Passing on the interstate was uncomfortable, it would lane change too close to the vehicle just passed. A few truckers honked it was so close. There were multiple other interventions. FSD is amazing for what it can do and I appreciate it, but no driver controls aint going to happen in my lifetime.
That latest build was a little squirrely, but I would suggest keeping at it to understand what it’s good at and where it falls short. This way, you can start anticipating when to take over without getting too freaked out if it ends up doing something unexpected. This is how I learned to use it productively without getting too freaked out. I’ve been using FSD ever since, and now I find it indispensable. I have about 40,000 KM on FSD so far, and seeing how much it has progressed in that short time, I can’t imagine ever buying a new vehicle without it. It’s not perfect, but on every drive, it does something so naturally that it blows my mind. Just in the past month, I had a revelation about where this technology is going. My kid just turned 16 and started learning to drive. We still have an ICE minivan that she practices with. She likes using it but prefers the Model 3. I tell her, “You need to learn how to do it all yourself first, so you’ll know if the car is doing it correctly.” She’s a little bummed but agrees. After our last drive, I thought this might be the last generation that learns how to drive. And this is coming from a guy who grew up riding horses. LOL!
I came up to a red light and I was in the middle turning lane turning left (no left turning light) and once the light turned red it just went and there were about ten cars in the opposite lane I was crossing. I was lucky the car in the front got off to an epically slow start. I was so shocked and didn't expect it. There is a lot to like but it definitely isn't ready yet. I would like to see smother turns and maybe more driver profiles so maybe I could find one more like how I would drive.
I was coming up to an intersection and the light went from green to yellow. The car took about 0.5 to 1.0 seconds to start gently breaking. Then I started braking HARD. Ended up halfway over the crosswalk. I'm in Wisconsin. Maybe FSD doesn't work here yet. FSD makes too many mistakes to use. My girlfriend doesn't want me to use it if she is in the car.
As you may know I posted something similar to these comments above already in this comment section. I've been somewhat disappointed in full self-driving but I still try to use it the thing is it doesn't take me very long before I'm not really paying that much attention even if I'm staring ahead and I'm worried that that's when it's going to do something stupid
In CA, VPP was triggered when the price, a day in advance, of peak power from other sources exceeded some set threshold. We were thus told a day in advance when we'd have a VPP session, and how long it would last -- usually only one or two hours. Fun.
Use a smartwatch every day and use a 3rd party in order to use it as a key and control my Tesla. Can’t wait for an official app with better integration and more stable connection. I use it as a primary and backup key for my Tesla alongside my phone.
I'm getting a smart switch as well, mostly just for safety because there shouldn't be any reason to be using my dryer or range at night, but if someone in the future has my house I want it danger free.
What is crazy is that if they can reduce the battery by 41% then the weight savings will offer EVEN more efficiency! I'm sure they is some calculus fun there.

Why is anyone talking about the HW3 upgrade thing. It says it right in the purchase contract. Why do you think Tesla is offering sell your car but keep FSD? It's easier for them.
You have to stop looking at things through a bubble.! You're making a big deal about Elon stating that he's going to upgrade hardware 3 people to hardware for if it doesn't work out. What is most important and you left out which understandably you don't know, is when! If I bought a 2020 model s with full self-driving. And was told that full self-driving is coming it's around the corner which is what he did. It is 4 years later and my car is 4 years old. Now 2024 he's telling us that hardware 3 is not going to work out. That's the reality. If by his own calculations next year 2025 it'll reach the point where it's better than humans then he tells you that hardware 3 is not working out you have to go to hardware for. Now when do you think he's going to give you the actual hardware? On top of that we all know how the dealers or rather service centers are slow and backed up because he doesn't care about servicing the cars. It'll be 2028 before you actually get physical hardware at the service centers ready for you to bring in your car to change the cameras and the computer and whatever else. Your car is now 8 years old The reality is nobody hold on to a car for 8 years. Yes there's going to be a couple of us that pass it down to our wife and then pass it down to our kids. The point is that car is gone you already moved on to the brand new car or even his taxi system meanwhile we all got screwed and never got real full self-driving after giving him $15,000
Does HW3 or HW4 support infrared viewing? I have driven night roads here and have had encountered several vehicles pulling out in the dark without their lights on. Sometimes it's only because they block another light that I see them. I'd love my car to be better than me.
No natural process remains exponential. It invariably follows a sigmoidal curve. Chasing down those 9's and edge cases will become more and more expensive. This is a property of neural nets (it's also a property that you can usually get the same performance with a much smaller NN, so not worried about HW3)
You guys keep saying Cybertruck non-foundation version is eligible for tax credit but I see no evidence that is correct. No such benefit is available on the design page. There is a requirement that the batteries used in an eligible model car must have certain maximum number of non Chinese manufactured units that disqualified the Cybertruck.
I would like to see a Tesla FSD driving on an icy road in heavy snow. I haven't found such a video. I prefer to hold the steering wheel and drive myself.
This is the moment of separation for me with the Tesla ideology. I am French, obviously I agree with the idea that autonomy is the future. But that is not an excuse to force it and even less to prevent the millions of people who needed a cheap and ecological vehicle from doing without it. Tesla focuses too much on the futuristic aspect of these vehicles to make profits (like Apple and aesthetics), and not on the real needs requiring a cheap vehicle by common peoples. To the point that the FSD becomes the last part to remove from a vehicle to make it cheap. "best part, no part" they said... Today the only "part" that delays the release of a compact. Like the absurdity of speed delays the Roadster. The last part to remove is perhaps arrogance, or the ideology of all technology. (we will never make a ball bearing with a computer) I mean: This car is not capable of driving on grass! At what point does someone like me who lives in a rural area (where parking spaces are virtual) this vehicle work? Sometimes, we need to move it 10 meters to let someone pass on a sidewalk. Sometimes if a mechanical problem occurs, we don't have the money or space to bring a flatbed truck like any American who is in debt up to their teeth would have done. (sorry) This is a vehicle for big American cities, for those who already have money and want to make an investment in Uber like economy. But for me, not a vehicle anymore. I can't see myself waiting 20 minutes to pay for someone else's vehicle while mine is driving around with someone else 50km away. Elon doesn't know what normal life is anymore.
😂 Funny thing is, Elon said he wouldn't make a Smaller, Less Expensive, "Non Autonomous" EV, not that they wouldn't make a Smaller Less Expensive EV! Which is to say, it will be capable of Actual Full Self Driving, (but wouldn't be restricted to that mode, like the Robotaxi is)!
I agree the robocab has a lot of corner cases where it won't work. Grass is a good example. I'm waiting to see how well it works on icy, snow covered roads in winter. Thats what the roads are like while waiting for the snow plows to clear them off.
"the real needs requiring a cheap vehicle by common peoples" is met by not needing to buy a car at all, they will request a cyber cab with their phone app for far lower cost than ownership. Likely kids in grade school today will never own a car or need to learn to drive. They will use a phone app to go where they want when they want and not have the burden or expenses of car ownership, maintenance, insurance, parking, etc.
@@kdb4u The very principle of a personal car is that it is personal! If I want to go camping, or leave it there for 4 days to leave instantly without having to check the day before if a Cybercab will be there. I can and I would pay for that. If time were not a problem, personal vehicles would already be 10 times more widespread than they are today. Because everyone would have a friend who can drop them off... So why buy a car in these cases, even you? Reality already proves you wrong. Making a vehicle personal is part of the product. It is this product that is no longer sold by Tesla. I do not question the idea of the Robotaxi, but Tesla's choice to consider it as the expected compact car. That is the difference.
Based on a current US national average gas price of $3.135/gal, that would be an equivalent of 68.97 miles/gal based on price, (5.5 kwh/mi) / ($0.25/kwh) * ($3.135 / gal). If charging is more like $0.50/kwh, that halves to 34.485 miles/gal. If eletricity is more like $0.125 it doubles to 137.94 miles/gal
When I drive my Model Y myself, I am much more aggressive than FSD, usually because I'm in a hurry. Clearly this also makes me more dangerous. I don't remember the last time I had to disengage to avoid what I considered a dangerous situation, rather than just an undesirable one.
You need to check your info about the Scout factory in Blythewood SC. It’s much further in construction than you reported on your latest episode. Super structure is up. Rail line being built and so on.
About that Robotaxi m/kWh efficiency...does the calculation include comparison for persons transported per ride? Othervise, to transport 4 persons by robotaxi compared to M3 would require twice the kWh.
I don't know, the Robovan was more like a concept car demo thing not really designed for real mass production yet right. And the tesla roadster concept is already known for quite a few years, they are supposedly working out production stuff. So wouldn't that be different people working on different things?
I do not drive with FSD in the city, from latest upgrade The car can not be increase or decrease the speed like before. So now I am in more chances to have an accident, because I am driving the car. The latest upgrade was a downgrade for me and unsafe car.
Without steering wheel - How to handle parking garages, parking in hotels, and temporary parking facilites? How will passenger influence the car in unusual circumstances?
About FSD, it will be installed in all Robotaxi vehicles. But will that be a separate charge and drive the cost of a Robotaxi to $38,000? I doubt it. FSD will be included in the selling price.
I put a deposit down on a Scout Terra Truck EREV. This is the perfect vehicle for what I am looking for...an electric truck for towing. The efficiency and convenience of electric for local and then the power and convenience of electric +gas for long distance towing.
@@billweberxyou kidding? Wireless is never as efficient, you lose 20 to 30 percent typically. And at 200kW it would be 60kW of heat and electromagnetic waste.

No steering wheel and pedals? Logitech got you covered. Cybercab DOES have bluetooth, right? For upgrading HW3, I'd expect it would be cheaper to spin up a new PCB that fits in the old can. This would be even more true if a single HW4+ chip could run faster than the pair of HW3 ones.
VW bought navistar. The whole company. And they make a lot of semi trucks. So the deal was not primarily for getting scout... navistar, now international again, is part of traton trucks where i also work at Scania. 😉
At 10:40 you hassle the main stream media for not covering the 21% stock rise in a day, which is valid. But for full disclosure, you should have also mentioned that even with that rise, Tesla stock was up only 5% since the start of the year. A 21% rise is a fun story, but Tesla stock swings a lot.
Used to be a long time listener, until Elon decided to use Twitter to expose his right wing fantasies. I got bummed at that point and unsubscribed. Sorry. We all know Elon shouldn’t make comments that lack maturity and sensitivity, such as saying Harris should be assassinated or needlessly attacking the government that benifits him. And yet we Musk/Tesla fans accommodate his behavior. He’s a new Trump or Rupert Murdoch in the making. We shouldn’t let his behavior slide with jokes on Tesla Times when the words he uses are hateful, insular, or simply random. (Ex: “we should elect a different party to be in charge. The Dems have had the congress control and a change is good,” he says referring to the democrats, and then he’s supporting Texas republicans like Greg Abbott who has been governor for 16 years. Unfortunately, Elon is just rationalizing his bias rather than challenging it.) So Tesla Time complains about “legacy media and retractions”, yet we let Elon mouth off and don’t hold him accountable for when he speaks nonsense or inaccuracies. I get that you guys are entertainers and you keep the show Tesla positive, but the hypocrisy is getting worse as Elon is devolving to wearing MAGA hats. At least this viewer wants content with a consciousness, not blind adulation. Maybe other viewers agree. UA-camr Jerry Rig’s “why I liked and disliked the Cybertruck” video is a good example of someone making a principled statement that Elon’s behavior isn’t normal or even polite. We don’t need Elon preaching to us like we are tuning into “AM Talk Radio with Elon.”
The hardware 3 upgrade will be a software enhancement. Tesla has already said hardware 4 cannot be used in hardware 3 cars because of the extra cooling system changes that are required.
Waiting for an Android smart watch app. (Pixel in particular. Nice watch.) I vastly preferred Elon's pronunciation of the Robovan. Funny and not immediately obvious.
Ok let’s stop for a minute. Shall we put a fork in it right here? Just like they just put a fork in the road at the Austin factory. Think about this. If Tesla can build two million robo taxis a year then why would they bother to build any thing else? Think about it. Why would they continue to build any vehicles with a steering wheel and brakes? For that matter why would Tesla sell any vehicles at all. Just build a lot with induction charging hire a few people to clean and service the cabs and and then just make money. Why bother with selling the first vehicle to the public?
It’s a fact Tesla cannot and will not produce any robo taxis. FSD is not even working properly and Elon fantasizes about a taxi? Wow. It’s like inventing the car but forgetting how it’ll be powered but promising the world “quarterrr 3, blah blah it’ll be ready for worrrrld releash, blah”.
One step beyond "right to repair" would be full modularity. I wish all manufacturers including Tesla would do that. The ability to swap out/upgrade components on our own is the best way to save the planet. If we could upgrade hardware, nav screens, and batteries - the things we own would never get old.
I've all but given up on the Roadster. I'm sure it'll ship eventually, but it seems to have evolved in a direction that's less interesting to me. I'm more optimistic for the Caterham Project V, which in many ways resembles my beloved 2010 Tesla Roadster. Except that it'll have, you know… a fresh new battery, DCFC capability and be (to my eyes) even more beautiful. As for Scout… Their "concept" vehicles look good to me. I think these will be well received when they enter production. You can argue that VW & Scout are late to the party, but in the bigger picture of things I don't think so. The landscape for off-road BEVs is only beginning to come into view, so they have time to get their foothold in it.
18:00 can you talk about options for home charging a TESLA when you only have a 100amp breaker panel? Energy management systems, I.e. you turn on your Oven your EV charger gets turned off
If you already have an electric range or dryer you can get a smart splitter or a load shed module the latter was what my electrician wanted to do. You can also add another 50 amp box addon. Smart splitters will block the charging when the range or dryer are being used.

I love your show, but your math about efficiency at 4:40 is wrong. Percentages do not work like that. If a car is 41% more efficient, it does not mean you can reduce the battery pack by 41% and have the same range.
Example:
100kw battery * 3.9 miles per kw.

Hate those "fitness" sensors shoved into every single one, you know it could have been half as thick and have 7x battery time without those "fitness" sensors?
Same here. I was reluctant to get one but now that I have it I won't leave home without it.

Sales technique for FSD is called the puppy dog close. Hand someone a puppy then come back and ask for it back or get paid.
That's brilliant
While I'm getting tired after waiting several years since the Roadster's unviel, I'm still super pumped for the next-gen Roadster. Hopefully I'll own it someday!
13:50: Assuming $2.5M per megapack at 30% margin, that should be about an extra $1B in profit per quarter next year.

Fsd mistakes not fud when you have videos on UA-cam tesla going over sidewalks.
I find it funny that after you started shaving with the Henson shaver you grew a full beard
Feels like Elon initially claiming to favour sustainable transport, but doing something contradictory.

FSD is years away from Level 5. Not producing a Model 2 is such a disappointment.
How about a model 3 starting at 35k , then apply a 7500 federal rebate?
Did you even watch the video dude? XDD!
Smart Watch Integration: definitely looking forward to Apple Watch integration with the Tesla app. Worst fear is that I lose my phone and then can’t get in the car.

Are you expecting to die in the next few years?

I use my apple watch to control my Tesla's with the "Tesla Watch app" and I love it!

So do I
You have to stop looking at things through a bubble.! The point is that car is gone you already moved on to the brand new car or even his taxi system meanwhile we all got screwed and never got real full self-driving after giving him $15,000
Early adopters always pay a price.
2026 volume production of cybercab...LOLOLOLOL
I don't have to bet against you personally, I just need to know you exist. 😁
Does HW3 or HW4 support infrared viewing? I have driven night roads here and have had encountered several vehicles pulling out in the dark without their lights on. Sometimes it's only because they block another light that I see them. I'd love my car to be better than me.
Not that I've ever heard.
No natural process remains exponential. It invariably follows a sigmoidal curve.
Chasing down those 9's and edge cases will become more and more expensive.
This is a property of neural nets (it's also a property that you can usually get the same performance with a much smaller NN, so not worried about HW3)
25:28 I love that you have a Father Ted clip in there
Thank you for the megapack update!!! 40Gw 10k megapack!!! Wow!! mind blown
Yes smart phone and watch, hope you got your referral credit . Order model Y a few days ago.
I like the scout's front bench seat.
(we will never make a ball bearing with a computer)
I mean: This car is not capable of driving on grass! (sorry)
This is a vehicle for big American cities, for those who already have money and want to make an investment in Uber like economy.
I was hoping that Tesla would make a Cybervan based on the Cybertruck. I still hope they do, because the Robovan doesn't fit my needs.
When I drive my Model Y myself, I am much more aggressive than FSD, usually because I'm in a hurry. Clearly this also makes me more dangerous. I don't remember the last time I had to disengage to avoid what I considered a dangerous situation, rather than just an undesirable one.
Laugh of the week: Party City 000s scramble 🤣

Yeah, that is annoying and the natural driving option sometime speeds like crazy.
Without steering wheel - How to handle parking garages, parking in hotels, and temporary parking facilites? How will passenger influence the car in unusual circumstances?
OK let's see how this one goes
Nice to see an ev1 back on the roads again, at least GM can't force them to give it up so that they can crush it!
Did telsa announce how long it will take to charge with the wireless charger?
Should be about the same as a wired charger as the efficiency is almost the same.
Those robo-taxis will most of the time try to charge, instead of driving.
@@billweberxyou kidding? Wireless is never as efficient, you lose 20 to 30 percent typically. And at 200kW it would be 60kW of heat and electromagnetic waste.

Harris ranch was also one of the sites that briefly experimented with Model S battery swaps.
Unfortunately, Elon is just rationalizing his bias rather than challenging it.)
So Tesla Time complains about “legacy media and retractions”, yet we let Elon mouth off and don’t hold him accountable for when he speaks nonsense or inaccuracies.
Well said
Agree. The excuses and ignoring of Elon's behavior is getting old on these Tesla channels.

@35:53 they did not spend 5 billion. They spent close to 10 Billion if you factor in that VW group has paid Rivian for the software.
Can Cybertruck make profit in 80k price level also?
The hardware 3 upgrade will be a software enhancement. Tesla has already said hardware 4 cannot be used in hardware 3 cars because of the extra cooling system changes that are required.

@41:49 Induction charging makes this product MOOT _TOOT TOOT, HEY,VBEEP BEEP! YEAH!_
I like the white Cybertruck!
Why bother making anything at all?
It’s a fact Tesla cannot and will not produce any robo taxis. FSD is not even working properly and Elon fantasizes about a taxi? Wow. It’s like inventing the car but forgetting how it’ll be powered but promising the world “quarterrr 3, blah blah it’ll be ready for worrrrld releash, blah”.
Can Teslas van fit the Broing tunnels or is it too big?
I don't think anyone knows that.
One step beyond "right to repair" would be full modularity. I wish all manufacturers including Tesla would do that. The ability to swap out/upgrade components on our own is the best way to save the planet. If we could upgrade hardware, nav screens, and batteries - the things we own would never get old.
Dude pretty much all components on all cars are already replaceable.
No chance for the Scout. VW is in such poor condition, it won’t happen.
