I cant believe i watched such a detailed tutorial that included pattern making and adding darts, for free!! Thank you so much!!!!!🥰🥰🥰
So glad you found it helpful! 😊
Honestly I've watched a million skirt tutorials trying to understand this and this explanation was so simple and straight to the point. Easy to understand and the skirt is cute. Thank you so much!
The only tutorial i understood. Made my skirt today. I'm an amateur at sewing, so i took the entire day to make it but it was so worth it. I will be making a matcging top tomorrow
Great job! Glad you were able to follow along 😊
You are the best for adding cm/mm!!
This turned out so beautifully and I love how detailed you were
Thank you so much! I want to make sure you have everything you need to know to make one for yourself :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I had been looking unsuccessfully for something this detailed months ago before you published this video. I managed to make the skirt but with a few mistakes I had to correct. Now I found your video and got down to my new skirt!)
Yess!! So glad you've had success 😊
Great job! Amazing teacher!
Thanks for giving the clear yet informative tutorial 🥰
Love the white top❤
I definitely wanna try this ☺️
very begineer friendly, tysm!
This skirt looks amazing! Thank you for going in details into how to mesure and place darts, I once eyeballed it and it worked but your instructions make me more confident in trying it again and not having it look weird :p
Yay!! Confidence also comes with making mistakes, I’ve been there too 🙂
This looks a little bit overwhelming but I'm excited to try it out! Thank you for a very detailed tutorial 🤍😃
I believe you can do it! If the first time doesn’t work out, use it as a learning experience and try again. There’s so much merit in putting time in to something in order to figure it out 💕
@@EmmaCraine i did it! 😃 Thank you so much! I'm so satisfied with the result! Your tutorial helped me achieve a clean finish. 👍 I hope you upload more content like these for beginners 😃💗🥰
I can't even express how happy this makes me!! happy for you 💕
This is so simple yet amazing and easy to make!! I can’t wait to make it
Amazing! Yes, so easy to replicate in a bunch of colors/patterns as well
Love it Emma!!!
💕🥰
So very detailed, and so very cute, Thank You!🤩
Thank you so much! Hopefully you have a chance to make one for yourself 😊
love this 💖
Thank you! 💕
Looks so smart yet cute especially with the lining I don't know how you manage to work with the long sleeves I'd have too push them up or remove them but each to there own when I sew I'm usually in my cropped leggings or cycling shorts and a bra top or fitted T shirt so nothing gets in the way
Em, I love that fabric...it's looks familiar
Thanks 🥰🤗
Great 😍 i’ll try to do it, thank u for so amazing tutorial 👍
Thank you, Olena! Wishing you success 😊
Gracias XL
hii! can u please do midi skirt tutorial also 🥺 you're the only channel that do detailed tutorial including all the patterns and darts.
Love midi skirts! Adding it to my list 🙂so happy you find this format helpful!
This tutorial is so great! I do have a question with the measurements for the ties. For the back overlap tie it’s my waist measurement minus 10 inches and then add 20?
Yes, exactly. Minus 10" since the overlap is 10" and it only need to reach from the outside of one overlap to the next, then add 20" or more depending on how much length you want to tie into a bow
Hi! Could you explain to me how you chose the measurements for D-H and H-I? No videos explain how you choose them? Is it a universal amount to get the right curve?
Hi what if we don't have a lining , do we directly attach the waistband??
Hi this tutorial was great. I'm a beginner and I don't dont know what type of fabric is used for lining. What type of fabric did you use for the lining?
Really any type of fabric, as long it is the same thickness (aka fabric weight which is usually measured in gsm) or less!
i got lost at the part where we’re pinning the fabric pieces together, could anyone help explain 🥺
am I meant to pin one of the straight edges of the smallest panel to the curved edge of the front left panel?
@@xxkk2835 Hi! The curved edges would be the side seams where your hips are. So there are two curved edges on either side of the back piece, and one curved edge on each front piece. Basically all you need to do is match the curved edge on one side of the back piece to the curved edge of one of the front pieces. Then repeat that for the other curved edge of the back piece and the remaining font piece --- hope that helps!
Im curious, after tying the end of the darts, how do you hide the thread? Is it safe to cut it short ? Wont it come undone?
After tying the knot, you can safely cut the threads down to about 1/8” but if you want to be super sure, then double knotting is the way to go 🙂
This is so fucking confusing
Hi there -- I'm definitely familiar with how frustrating sewing can be. Was there a specific part you were getting stuck on?
