Yes, and with security for your keys, credit card case etc. thank you. Nice presentation.
You could always omit that step for the pocket and before stitching up the bag sides add a few slip pockets. You can also pre-make some credit card slots to sew onto the lining. Before doing either of those things, interface both main and lining with a heavier woven interfacing. Could add a layer of fusible fleece on the main as well, or foam for more structure.

Yeah, the colours are kinda boho-hippy-60's-ish. My daughter would love it - BUT, my thought was that maybe the colour choice could have been to help with the visual aspect?? Obviously, I don't actually know... although the contrast of the fabrics did make it easier to distinguish between layers (for me, anyway. Maybe I'm just too old *shrug*).
Use your own fabric, people... this is just an idea...an excellent way to use up leftover pieces .. Great idea .

It is very clear and easy to follow. I love the little bag! I can think of so many uses for it.
The fabrics are really interesting-I would not have chosen them and would ever have thought of putt them together, but they really work!
Finally, I never understand people who only complain about not liking the fabric choices. I can only surmise that they have so little experience with sewing that they don’t understand the pure joy of finding fabrics that you love to create something you adore using, and conversely, seeing something being created and picturing it in fabrics you love. Sad, really, because that is a huge part of the joy of creating in sewing!

You should get Gugginhein shears to cut through that many layers of fabric. They work amazing!
The pockets on the outside were amazing! When you were cutting the one piece of fabric, I was thinking, "why is she cutting that piece?" Lol ....I see now. Awesome idea!!

Thank you - excellent teaching! You use contrasting colours perfectly to show how the different parts work technically! So many instructors use too similar colour combos - it can get very confusing when it is a "how-to"! Your demo is Excellent - and thank you so much.

Wow! I love this! Those are such cute colors too that I wouldn't have thought of and it's absolutely darling!
Nice bag, but it needs stability. Iron-on vinyl on the outside and some plastic stability sheets in between the layers. Those colors don't really compliment each other, but then again orange is not a favorite color of mine. How about a rachet for the closure? Concept is good.
Please don't promote the use of plastics in anything. Too harmful to the environment and to humans!

Although making a bag like this might be new to some, this isn't a new way of making a bag. It was one of the first style I made when I started making bags around 15 years ago. The only differences is the one I made didn't have darts at the top and the pockets were on the inside. (When making a bag like this, the pockets tend to be loose so things can fall out.)
This is a cute bag though.
I learned to sew this style purse in my high school's Home Economics class in 1978. I made my bag/purse using denim. It's not a new idea but it's still nice to see someone make one especially with these colors... colors I would never have even imagined putting together (I lack imagination with color coordination - LOL!) but I really like this.😊

Lovely bag, I love the rusty colour tartan with the flowery fabric. I would put the pockets on the inside and possibly 2 on the outside. Also, a heavier interface and a zipper for more security, as the way I chuck my bag around everything would fall out the gaps 😂. This would also be great making it much bigger for beach days.
