Welcome or welcome back to my channel. My name is Jess and I love doing DIY, making clothes in a "simply but pretty" way.
In today's video, I'm going to share with you how I made a mini skirt with inside shorts. This is the combination between a mini skirt and a shorts. It helps for one who is not comfortable when wearing the short skirt. So that I hope you will enjoy the tutorial and try it out soon.
To make this dress, please check out some of my basic information below:
- Sewing machine: Brother Auto Tension
- Material: 1m of khaki fabric
- My body measurements: 80-68-92 (bust-waist-hip). I'm 165cm and usually wear Small size.

Ive been looking for a pattern similar to a skirt I'm trying to make and this was perfect! It was super easy to follow, and only took me about an hour from drafting to cutting fabric. Im planning on changing a new things from here but I couldn't have gotten this far without this video. I cant believe you're self taught, you're so good! Thanks for your help :)

If you want a higher waisted skirt, you need to make the darts a bit longer for fitted look
How can i alter the pattern for high waisted one?
You can make the length of the crotch higher for the high waisted one

Jess, could you please kindly help with drafting if a culotte skirt? I had one but it was stolen because it was so elegant. It was knit material and fell well and if you didn't know it looked like a skirt. It was up to my knees.
