As a more mature woman I did not think I could wear the wrap skirt but your hack to lengthen the skirt is perfect for me. Now I will have to give the Hannah a try.
Sunday mornings wouldn't be the same without your uploads, but this is extra special! Well done! You should be very proud. Seeing your development over the past couple of years has been amazing, and the Hannah Skirt compliments your work wonderfully. You aced it.
Love your channel ! Just a quick tip... place a pin across the end of your button hole so you can’t accidentally slip when using the seam ripper to open it. Cheers
This a really great tutorial. I've been looking for one to use on cotton, not rayon, so thank you. Love the addition of the midi skirt and how to line. Please consider using a fabric that has a clear wrong side so it's easier to see which side you're sewing on. I love all 4 of these.
It's been exciting to watch the launch of the pattern kits online. Phew! They went quickly. I can't believe the blue gingham daisy is the last to go as I find that fabric the prettiest of all. Well done Janelle for all your hard work and commitment to your craft. You deserve every success. Congratulations 🎊 🎉🎈👏
I love how patterns can be altered and change into different ones, and when I started sewing I used to hate them!!! Great job!!!😍😘 love from Tenerife 🙌
Yayayay!!! Just purchased the pattern and can’t wait to make every version of this adorable skirt!!! Thank you so much Janelle, you are wonderful and have helped spark my passion for sewing 💓💓💓
I’m from Singapore and due to time difference I woke extra early hoping to buy one of the kits but they are gone like the wind! Haha I need to learn to type and click faster! Congrats on selling out all your kits! I hope more kits will come and I get a chance to buy! 🤍
Whoa, that waistband is perfection and the gathering stitch for the hem is mindblowing 🤯 🙌 I bought/downloaded this pattern yesterday and absolutely cannot wait to get started sewing tonight while following along with your video! You rock! 😎💛
Oh my gosh using gathering stitches on curved hems!! 🤯life changing! Thank you for the tip Janelle! Also adding the Hannah skirt to my list of patterns I need to purchase 😍
Thanks for sharing how to lengthen the skirt, as I was struggling to figure out how to do it myself. And as I prefer knee and midi length skirts, I needed that extra encouragement to want to buy the pattern 😄
Used this pattern to make my maternity swim suit bottoms 🙈 oh my goodness it turned out so cute! I used some nylon spandex athletic material and it fit the bump great especially because my waist is small but the bump is large 😂 and looks so modest and cute!
Hi ! I've bought the pattern of the skirt on your website and I have a question concerning the body measurements. For the waist I would be a size 18 and for the hips a size 22. Should I keep the size 18 for the waist and make the bottom of the skirt widder by myself, by modifying your pattern ? I'm sorry, it's the first time I sew some clothes and I don't want to mess up. Btw your channel is amazing, I love watching your videos. Greetings from France !
Thanks so much for purchasing my pattern 🧡 Yes, that’s exactly what I would do if I were you! The best way would be to simply draw a line from the 18 waist to the 22 hem line of the skirt front and back pieces (I hope that makes sense). Alternatively, you could make the size 20 instead as the wrap design can by tightened easily to fit your waist 😊
It’s definitely possible! The best way would be to use a ruler and draw a line at the side of the skirt front and back pieces from the 18 waist point to the size 24 at the bottom. I hope this makes sense!
Hi I recently bought this pattern but it only prints to a size 14 how do I get a bigger size many thanks oh and I love your amazing patterns and videos xx
Thanks so much for purchasing it, and for your kind words 🧡 The pattern is available in two size sets: 4-14 and 14-24. You will need to purchase them both if you’d like all of the sizes 😊 x
Thanks for your pattern. Just a few things please, can you please clarify if the front pieces need to be cut out mirror images? As you have used the check fabric for the tutorial, it is hard to see the right side from the wrong side of the fabric. For a beginner this is a little confusing. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much for commenting on this. I'd just bought the pattern and was about to cut out my fabric, but luckily, I saw your comment first. It's crucial to cut the front pieces mirrored (unless your fabric has no right or wrong side). For beginners, this means following the instructions for the first front piece, and when you need to cut out the second front piece, turn the pattern over so the writing is against the fabric, not facing up at you, and cut it out like this. You'll end up with two front pieces, mirrored.
Should the front pattern piece be "Cut 1 pair" rather than "Cut 2"? I've cut 2 and can't for the life of me figure out how the pieces of the skirt fit together!
Yes you can get it printed at a print shop! The digital pattern comes with a large format A0 document and a tiled A4 document 😊 You can find all the info here: www.roseryapparel.com/shop/the-hannah-pattern-digital-4-14
I've struggled with this in the last two videos I've tried to watch and so along. You always use a fabric that is the same on both sides. I have been using a fabric with a front and a back. I've had to redo several things because I discover later I didn't do it right. I realize you wear these clothes and these are the fabrics you choose to wear but it would be very helpful visually (as someone who learns visually) to be able to see a right side and a back side.
This is too cute but not for me but my niece and a few of my great-nieces but a few can't have these, n not for here to discuss but the color, etc perfect.
The gathering for hemming curved edges is amazing, never saw that in other sewing videos!
Right? Mind blown.
I know I am kinda off topic but do anyone know a good place to watch new movies online ?
@Braylen Abraham flixportal :P
@Titus Alonso Thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service =) Appreciate it!
@Braylen Abraham Glad I could help :D
They are all great but i love midi version the most 🥳

Wonderful to see women sewing . Before we had so many fashion stores we often made our own clothing . 😊

Love this tip!! I’m always so scared I’m going to rip straight through 🙈
I love that you showed us how to do a lining and lengthen it!!! Great video!
This a really great tutorial. I've been looking for one to use on cotton, not rayon, so thank you. Love the addition of the midi skirt and how to line. Please consider using a fabric that has a clear wrong side so it's easier to see which side you're sewing on. I love all 4 of these.

what a beautiful skirt, I can't wait to make it! How much extra fabric do you recommend getting for the midi or full-length versions?
Thank you 🧡 I recommend getting an extra metre for the midi-length 😊
@@RoseryApparel thank you for the quick reply!

Would it be possible to make the front panel as an asymmetric front?
Genial!!!
Loved the longer version, just wished I had the legs for the shorter LOL.
Is this pattern suitable for knits, like a swim lycra to make a wrap swim skirt to cover a one piece swimsuit? Thank you!

@@RoseryApparel Thanks for your answer, it's perfectly clear ! I hope it will turn well :)
Love to purchase, any tips on taking the size 18 waist to the size 24 hip?
It’s definitely possible! The best way would be to use a ruler and draw a line at the side of the skirt front and back pieces from the 18 waist point to the size 24 at the bottom. I hope this makes sense!

Love this pattern and I want to purchase it. I’m between a 14 and 16 waist, should I size up or down? Waist 33 inches, hips 37 inches
I recommend sizing up as the tie up waist means you can synch it in more/tighter if you need too 😊
@@RoseryApparel I’m in a real quandary. My hips put me at a size 10, but my waist puts me at a 14 or 16. I’ll think on it.
Should the front pattern piece be "Cut 1 pair" rather than "Cut 2"? I've cut 2 and can't for the life of me figure out how the pieces of the skirt fit together!
