Paul, Nice start to what looks like should be a straight-forward build. Hope it continues this way; you will probably want to carefully dry-fit the cockpit sub-assembly into the fuselage halves to make sure of the alignment of the front and rear bulkheads of the cockpit,as they attach to the sides of the fuselage. I remember building some old Monogram kits that had the same green color plastic, but I don't remember it ever being as shiny as what your kit's seems to be. Take care.
I came across your channel because of "ModelKit Stuff's" channel. I'm glad to see someone else will be sharing their build here on UA-cam. Looking forward to following along
Hiya Paul, great to see you joining the B17 builds. That particular kit looks good initially but I fear it may give you some usual Revell issues later on. I tend to find they are hard work to get right and you need lots of filler. I have built 3 kits from them now and have to admit, I am trying to stay away in the future.. Following as always mate..take care, Chris
Thanks Chris much appreciated .I do like the revell kits they are a challenge at time's. And maybe lacking in detail. Don't think they can be beaten for price .stay safe and have a good week 👍
I have the kit in the original Revell USA boxing from sometime in the 80's that I picked up cheap from a estate sale along with the 1/72 ancient Revell release of the B-17F. Maybe I'll try and pick up some Monogram B-17G interior sprues and see if those pieces fit inside.
I’ve made that same kit Paul and I know exactly what you mean about the plastic. It really is not very good, it’s almost like it’s been sat in a box in a warehouse for decades. Nice work though I’m looking forward to watching this series
Not Monogram they had the B-17G. Revell had the B-17F which was released around the same time in the 70's. Big mystery why they didn't go the monogram route and make it with a interior like Monogram did with their B-17G.
@@michaelbenjmitchell1 How could I have missed that, you’re right, different kit indeed. I thought they were the same moulds only with different nose..
Good progress done here Paul! B-17 is coming along nicely! Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Thanks George much appreciated stay safe and happy modelling
That’s an old kit telling its age now.
I was looking at it myself on Amazon as I prefer 1/48 over 1/72.
Enjoy the build Paul 👍
Thanks Harry. Yes it's showing it's age Not a big part count ,We will see how it turns out.
looking forward to this buddy. look out for group build update Sunday
Thanks for popping in I'll keep my eyes open for Sunday. Stay safe and happy modelling.

Thanks Tron much appreciated. Yes I shall dry fit first stay safe and have a great week 👍

It is Jess lol wishful thinking 😆

Many thanks appreciated. Am not in the same league as Jason It's just me at the bench with all the mistakes. Stay safe and have a good week 👍
@@plasticmonkey5594 I hear what you are saying. I make lots of mistakes myself but its ok. I still enjoy the process

The cockpit pit fits fine .But the fuselage takes a bit of work. Appreciate your comment stay safe and happy modelling

I’m doing the 1/72 one…. Damn you Masters of the Sky, haven’t built an aircraft in over 40 years…
You enjoy Paul am sure you will be fine .
The new mold 1/72 Revell B-17F is pretty nice now if they could upscale it to 1/48 scale though.
It’s the old Monogram kit Paul. Same as I am building 💥👍💥
Look forward to seeing your build. Now you have given me a challenge to do a good job.

@@DutchDaveModels I wish Monogram did a B-17F. It would have a interior like the G minus the chin turret.
That’s going to be a big build 😅
Certainly is Think it will be a celling hanger
Not a fan of that old shiny green plastic! Screams of the 60’s…. Hard and brittle…
