The fuselage is looking great and after a tussle the wings are coming together well. Nice work Paul showing that some effort and patience can really pay off.

You are just like me Paul, an average Joe that likes to build models. We are no where near the level of Nigel, Oz, Night Shift, or John Alex but we like to build and our work is not bad. 👍👍👍👍
It's looking utterly fantastic Paul, looks like the real thing from the classic 90s film. That's true artistic work in the making, this is going to be epic when finished. I'm hoping to one day do one of these in 1/48 scale with latest kit moulds, as for decals and markings I'm going with the options you can get from warbirds. I know there's a few famous B17s that actually flew, and some have been lost to time and others been preserved, I think some of the options include 'Ye Olde Pub' from the Charlie Brown and Franz Stigler incident, others include 'Hells Angels' which was another B17 to complete a full tour of duty, that actually completed it's tour before the Memphis Belle.. true story. Either way that's looking fantastic, your doing a truly great job on that. Hope you have a wonderful week, stay safe and happy modelling mate 👍

Yes Jason. I was probably looking at a bundle of elastic bands but it didn't even enter my head to use them .I find that doing a modelling video is totally different when not videoing .

Paul, What I think I heard you refer to as "brute force and ignorance", my father, whose degrees were in Physics, used to refer to as "the theory of sufficient applied force." 🙂 Take care and stay well (myself, I'm starting to slowly get over what I caught from the students last week; 2 or 3 more days, and then I get a good break for a couple of weeks.)
I wonder how well zip ties would work for clamping areas such as the engine pods that you had some trouble with. Clamps springing off is always annoying.

Never thought of that. I would imagine they would work well, shall have to give it a go
