2022 CFMOTO 800MT Review - We ride CFMOTO's affordable adventure bike to see if it has what it takes

- Hot on the heels of the recent Husky Norden 901 launch, we’ve spent a couple of days pushing CFMOTO’s latest addition to their line-up to its limits. The 800MT represents the brand’s largest displacement bike to date and announces their entry to the middleweight adventure bike segment. It’s a compelling debut. One with both surprising similarities to the Norden, and some stark contrasts.
And there’s another family connection there too, because just as the Norden uses the KTM 890 Adventure’s drivetrain as its base, nestled inside the 800MT lies the previous generation KTM 790 Adventure heart with a Chinese produced version of KTM’s LC8c 799cc parallel twin. There is some serious potential in there and with a few incremental tweaks I think the 800MT has a strong future.

it's not an "old variant of a ktm engine" CFmoto build the 790/890 engines for KTM and have done since 2019.
What’s up with the headlamps turn off at times and not on at others?
It has three settings from memory, Off, Daytime running light (DRL), or ON

We don't need overpowering music, it adds nothing and defeats your voice. Shame because it looks like a lot of effort went into making it.

fueling isnt a issue anymore due to a free fuel map update
and wind buffeting is one of them things that can be easily fixed
the bike is also operated by a phone app that shows where the bike is if it gets stolen and what you did on your rides like how much you break and lean and things
you can check your fuel on the app too to save walking to the shed or whatever before a ride

A long term review from a "non-motorcycle" industry CFMOTO 650 or 800 owner should reveal all the _good, bad, and ugly._

They must be doing a good job looking at there stock value from march 2020 they had a bull run till now there are now close to poloris. So people are buying. I might take a look at it saw their demo truck but no adv 800mt.
Yes *Mark,* people are buying it just like Harley Davidson and _"Polaris"._ Question is: _Does the CFMOTO Motorcycle have so-so to bad *reliability* like HD & Polaris also?

I payed 500$ less for my brand new V-Strom 1050XT than the list price of the CFMoto here. Sure my Suzuki was on sale but come on... that wont sell many bikes here.
