    Nice review there sir. I have tested the CFMoto 650 MT and GT from my local Czech importer over the last couple of years and I have to say that I have been well impressed with the bikes. So much so that it kind of pisses me off when people say "for a Chinese bike ...... " - they are stand alone good enough to be compared against anything without trying to make caveats in advance. I am waiting to test the 800MT as well as the CLX 700 and have high hope for both. Have subscribed to your channel on the strength of this review and looks forward to seeing some more. Always nice to get the perspective of riders from differnt parts of the world.

    My first visit to the channel, what a great review, not spec heavy, just good honest from the saddle thoughts and considerations. I am not sure the 800MT has broken cover yet in the UK, I did see them at the Motorcycle Live show so perhaps they may be hitting the dealers by now, I'll have a look.

    Hello, I think that overall it is a good and interesting test, but if you hit the gas a little less aggressively and with a better feeling during the entire recording, the motorcycle would behave just as well and more stably on the field as on the road.

  • @noostNL
    @noostNL Рік тому +1

    When the corners are deep with sand/gravel, you best can hold on the gas and brake with the rear. Keep the chain tight! Off the gas, means weight momentum loss, resulting in pushing the front. you can do this it al speeds basically.

    Hi, thank you for this video, this motorcycle is sold on promotion at €10,900 in France, Touring model. I was surprised given the heavy weight that there is no traction control (the new Explorer model has this feature but much more expensive). There was an injection update which corrected the problem with acceleration/deceleration. Have you tried the bike with this update? I had the T 700 Tenéré for 4 years without electronics and it didn't bother me but it weighs 204kg compared to 245kg for the CFmoto 800 MT. I'm getting older and with my 58th birthday I moved on to an AJP PR7 (T700 sold in August 2023). As you said, a heavy motorcycle is very complicated to drive on more difficult technical passages (large stones, rivers, steep sandy sides, etc.). But nevertheless many of us look at this CFMOTO 800 MT with a lot of interest. Perhaps a motorcycle for traveling alone or in pairs, more oriented towards roads/off road light...

    what a great piece here, real-time riding, super crazy.
    Would love to see traction control and keep cruise control as well, we can do without heated grips and seat.. Essentials are essentials.. Cruise control would help on longer roads, specially for rider like me who is more into road riding/touring and does not consider touring/adventure bikes offroad friendly (Weight factor).. Beautiful lookin machine, we have couple of these on road here in Pakistan, will wait for future models and see what changes they do... Would be a better option than a benelli Trk502X i am riding currently..

    Hello from the UK 👋 good review there, I believe the fueling has now been sorted through software updates. I have test ridden and ordered a 2024 model 800MT, I was really impressed with it and found it better than the Honda transalp, it rides better and the amount of kit for the money is insane. I also have a Honda fireblade and disagree with you on TC, my blade with 180bhp doesn’t haven’t TC so I’m confident a 95bhp bike doesn’t need TC but each to their own. I can see why you don’t like it on the dirt, I think it was designed way more for the road than off road. For context, the transalp is £9600 with absolutely nothing. The CF Moto is £9200 with absolutely everything. No brainer.

    Hello mate great video I really appreciate your feedback on the cfmoto 800nt .
    I had lovely chat with my local dealer who gave this bike a big wrap.
    I mentioned to the dealer that I was
    Looking the new klr and the dealer said that the klr is out dated . I don't mind spending the extra few grand for this cf moto
    But like you said it's not very confidence inspiring on the dirt. What are your thoughts or suggestions I have about a 15k budget to spend
    I'm looking at something like a 50/50 bike or close to it
    Thanks again mate

    I can't knock it yet, put it up 30ks of not so great gravel roads and 450 on regular back roads, plus some highway ks after i picked it up . Brilliant, it has some quirks but
    its an amazing bike for this kind of money there will be knockers, but bloody hell, for the money with all the equipment as standard it's really hard to knock it in my opinion.

    Thanks for the review. The way you describe it is pretty much what I’m looking for. I live in a rural area and so I’m mainly on sealed roads but occasionally am on dirt roads. I also do highway riding between towns and I’ve heard that it revs a little high at Australian highway speeds (decreasing economy). Did you find that?

    • @INFO_MOTO
      @INFO_MOTO  Рік тому +1

      It revs a bit at highway speeds, but that would have a negligible effect on fuel; economy, unless you are doing silly speeds, and then that's on you. You're stated useage suits the bike perfectly.

    With the greatest of respect man........... I have been riding this bike in Rhodes, Greece for the last 6 hours and have it for another 20 (will clock around 300km's off and on road before I'm done), and ummmm......... yeah........ don't really know what to say. There ARE issues with the bike (fuelling I'll agree with you on), but even though in Europe it DOES have Traction Control...... it's a 95bhp bike with KYB suspension and great tyres: WTF would you need traction control off road?? You seem REALLY nervous on the most mildest gravel you could probably get, so I'm afraid, you ain't gonna feel any better on a Tiger or GS either off road! Steering damping and gear selector travel are the biggest issues I could find, but looking at your speedo, I don't think you ever once got over 60kph, so I'm sorry my man....... but even the standard Maxxis tyres on would breeze through far easier/faster here on far dodgier Greek roads, and make them feel like tarmac, so the Scorpions were MAJORLY overly excessive for the mild riding you were doing......... they are designed for proper off road, and I'm sorry my man....... but you were barely off tarmac (which is why you probably struggled!). They are good bikes - not amazing, but until I finish my tour of them tomorrow, I'll reserve judgement on whether they are worth the money or not...... though now that I think about it..... the brakes were sh1te too....... hmmmm....... this is gonna be a hard one!

      To be fair, at one point I'm sure he said he wasn't the most confident offroad rider, and given the price point, it's likely to attract inexperienced riders, so a warning about lack of TC would be useful, and that inexperienced rider might go look at something else. Whereas an experienced rider wouldn't worry about that. Presumably throttle issue could be resolved by getting ECU remapped, and then you've got a great package for half price of European marques.

      I agree with you 100%…I had my first motorcycle aged 4 back in 1970 and grew up without traction control, ABS or ride modes and still ride most days…..in all seriousness if someone “needs“ traction control to be safe on a 95hp motorcycle then they desperately need to go to riding school. I’ve ridden this bike and this reviewer is simply a crap rider and that’s what it is. Hard test absolute BS.

    I have to wonder if making a few adjustments to the suspension would improve the stability and give more confidence on gravel roads
    This would be an easy purchase decision if it gave you the ability to turn off rear wheel ABS, and it came with Traction Control.

    why is it good to have the wire spoked wheels? I would think the mag wheels were better since it does not have an inner tube. easier to repair out in the back woods.

      Wire wheels offer more 'give' in off-road and roufh going.

    Try riding in a higher gear with less revs & use the torque, much easier that way. I think you're riding it like a 4 banger.

    Stop trusting in riders aids . Learn to trust yourself . Cover that rear brake if you're afraid of some lift . I'm glad I've learned to ride . I don't need or even want TC or ABS on my bike . But then again, I ride my bike like my big truck . Rev matching,engine braking a must . I stay off the brakes as much as possible and keep on rolling !!!!!

    Can people stop speaking of "beginner bikes"? I was riding Kawasaki KZ1000's when I was 12 years old. Buy what you want now and save $15,000. Put your big boy pants on... you don't have to push it at full throttle.

    It weighs the same as the new Triumph 900 Rallye Pro..........and 14 kgs less than the BMW GS850 Adventure? The KTM 890 Adventure comes in with less weight.....but the you are paying for a hardcore off road adventure bike and this is not tyhe market the CF Moto 800 MT is aimed at.

    Not being easy to ride or a beginner bike in my opinion is not a bad thing, first of all because a 800cc bike it is not a beginner bike at all, also bikes trying to be good for everyone are risking becoming tasteless and boring.
