If i was in the market for an SUV in this price range, this would be a front runner for sure. Only dislikes is the Piano black trim and the gear selection, wish it was a lever but eh, it's an automatic so it really isn't a deal breaker and when it comes to the Piano black trim, that's an easy fix tbh, can just vinyl wrap it to whatever else you want. I agree with you. I test drove a Mercedes gle, bmw x5, audi Q7 and an mdx recently. I've never driven or even took a ride in any of them from this generation. The most impressive one as far as ride quality and driving dynamics was the bmw x5 which shocked me. It was incredibly smooth to drive. This mdx was the most like the x5 in how it felt, which was also surprising. However the mdx is more comfortable and clearly less expensive. I love the way the x5 looks, but the mdx is very nice looking in this generation. Now that it has a touchscreen I think it's a no brainer.

Great review! Be a sweet upgrade from my Mazda CX-5 haha. My favorite thing about this my third Mazda is how they drive. To some degree I think Acura's are the luxury version of Mazda's, offering a fun and sporty driving experience for those who enjoy driving and not just going from A to B. I'd rather a touchscreen but I'd live with the touchpad thingy. Some have said this does 0-60 in about 7 seconds others have said low 6 seconds. It's heavier than the previous version, I wonder has acceleration dropped slightly?

Absolutely loved the MDX, and would buy one except the water intrusion issue isn’t occurring with just the RDX; it’s also happening with the MDX. An inch or two less room in 3rd row? Does it sit lower too? Not a fan of a stick on iPad that is wide and not tall. Interior is busy looking...which also makes it feel small/tight.
