I really love the family-oriented nature of your reviews. As a dude with 3 kids and looking for a luxury family hauler, this is definitely up my alley!
By any change was the auto start/stop system on or off while you were driving this vehicle? I know you said that you felt a hesitation in terms of power delivery while flooring the MDX. My parents have an Advance Pkg one (we did not want the Type-S due to low-profile tires that go flat easily) and while I do agree that there is a hesitation in power delivery while the auto start/stop system is on, we never felt like there was a hesitation in power delivery while the auto stop/system is off (which is why we always keep it off). We love our MDX and I am hoping to make an ownership review on it at some point though I’m still deciding on what exactly to say in my review (I want to be as informative as possible while not offending people). This is the 1st video of yours I have ever watch and found it to be very informative and entertaining. Keep up the fabulous work!
Love the fun vibe of Micah’s reviews. Great banter with his “sweeties” while staying on point with information. Other UA-camrs are getting boring with their half hour brochure like reviews.
I often see in the thumbnail what car you are reviewing and think I’m not interested to see that. But when I click I am always glad I did. Your family makes reviews fun!
As a father, I think these family reviews are great, but more importantly, they're a time capsule for the Muzio family. It gives them a chance to see how they change over time and how much their daughter has grown. I think that's the most beautiful part of the videos. I also dislike black, shiny plastic in cars. 😂
I love the new design language from Acura , as a RDX owner and lover Acura has rekindled what was lost on the 04-08 TL’s I absolutely love my RDX TURBO SH-AWD, aspec. Excellent review guys. Can’t wait for the next one.
Micah stumbled on your channel, so glad you're doing this. So many of the car reviews are done by people w/o families where their priorities are just different than family men/women. Hey I was 20 once and was driving sports cars in the winter. Once you have the family you care about keeping them safe while you can still enjoy your ride. Keep up the great work!
That’s exactly why I chose a new MDX earlier today! I told the salesman I wanted a safe and classy yet roomy ride to take my family to dinner - grandparents as well.
I think Big Automaker is in bed with Big Warehouse Club Retailer to use piano black plastic to drive microfiber towel sales. ($3 off at Costco through 6/13!)
With so many cars held up because of the issues with micro-chip and battery shortages, I was most pleased to see Acura is one that did everything right. Total make over and past owners love the one million + MDX's saying this one is the best of the best. I agree and drove all the luxury cars. Bought the Red Pearl and love how it drives through our curves and rolling hills in most of Alabama. The beaches are coming soon! Now that we have our shots the wife and I may just go see family in K.C. and Branson area! Love all the tech, but it takes a few weeks to get used to all the interesting features with the two huge 12.5 inch screens. Like that the music, sat., and even air and heat are easy control, not needing much work to get moving. Several I drove you had to activate the tech screen while burning up inside the SUV, NOT GOOD. Acura has really worked this MDX over inside and out, and the 10 speed in house transmission works so well with the 3.5 six. I will drive this three years and by that time who knows how far the EV's, PHEV's and perhaps the infrastructure will be for long trips, so you have little anxiety. I also like, which NO reviewer has mentioned is it says on the gas cap, use regular, mid-range or premium, try that with a Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, BMW, etc., etc.
Your reviews are so cute and fun that even though I'm not driving many of the vehicles you're reviewing (I drive a 2021 Nissan Rogue Platinum AWD, thanks to your family review of it), like this Acura MDX, I still watch them just to watch how much fun you're having reviewing it with Evie and your kid. Keep it coming, Micah and Evie.
Mdx made a beautiful comeback same goes for the tlx all we need is for them to redesign the ilx and make it look like a spiritual successor to the integra
Enjoyed your review...I am considering a new 2022 MDX, but your mention of the acceleration issue really bothered me, especially from what I recently read regarding past problems with the RDX and MDX. Was just curious if Acura solved any issues related to this?
By far the best car review video that involves the spouse, feels very genuine. As opposed to the couple who passive-aggressively and annoyingly remind their viewers about their German car possession history. If you know which channel I'm referring to.
This style of presentation is wonderful. This is an all out family car and the review demands that aura. Continue the good work. 11:42 look at his daughter, seems to say...oh god, dad started again on the ICE system. I am out. LOL
I love how many idiots say these are minivans that don't know all the differences in the underpinning, suspension, and awd systems where the minivans are a lot weaker than their crossover counterparts. People are so dumb when they just start repeating something they read in the comments somewhere without asking a professional what the similarities and differences are, like say, a mechanic or engineer
As the Honda Pilot (Acura MDX's cousin) has immensely impressed me with its solid reliability, excellent practicality and dynamic handling, I would be interested in considering an Acura MDX as a second vehicle in the near future.
Thanks for great review as family. All I have to say is they should give us 360° view when we park or reverse. Come with 60k price tag it should be there.
EXCELLENT Review! Micah and Evie work so well together.....great couple and family review. Very informative. Excellent filming and editing. You deserve a million subs. Keep up the great work.
With the new dash material and trim in the Civic appearing, I’m hopeful Acura will adopt some of that in place of the easily grossed up piano black plastic in this.
First time viewer here! My wife’s aviator is up in a year and I know I have to start thinking of what’s next. The aviator was fine but has it’s issues. Wife wants next 3 row SUV not as wide as the Lincoln but can be longer. MDX, QX60, grand Cherokee l. Any others?
These two seem like a great couple who have fun and enjoy being parents. At first I expected Micah would have picked a more wild worldly chick but I was way off! These two make me smile. I hope to find such a kind and sweet soul of a wife. Micah hit the lottery here! He’s cool too ofc lol
Manufacturers really need to ditch the gloss black plastic... really hate it. I've own a black optics package A4 and love the exterior, however the cheap gloss black plastic interior trim is hideous! The standard aluminum is so much nicer.
Personally, I don’t like the trend of making drive mode controls so prominent. I mean, do people really change their drive modes that often? I just find the one I like and leave it alone. Are people really switching back and forth between normal and sport five times while driving Sally to soccer practice? And if people aren’t changing drive modes very often, then from a user interface perspective it a bad idea to make an infrequently used feature the biggest control on the center console. I’m not saying “don’t have a drive mode control”, I’m just saying that having it being the biggest dial in the car is dumb.
First time watching your family styled car review and I enjoyed it! Keep up the good work! Looking forward to the everyday “normal” vehicle family usefulness review. Scribed!
Having lived with a car like Honda CR-V, I thought Evie would love Acura MD-X which is a much premium and larger version of the former brand and the model. Why didn’t Evie fall crazily in love with the car?
Great video. Sad that Honda still can’t get their transmission and power trains working smoothly. I hate this about their new economy focused transmissions. Pilot and previous MDX 9 speed was the worst. Toypta has issues with their 8 speed too so it’s not just Honda.
Yes hot stud this is the best MdX - I just traded in my 2020 Aspec with 2022 Aspec I love it I get lots of accolades in street from people who like :-)
Drove an ASpec mdx yesterday, I noticed a bit of road noise on the tires, not sure if it’s the Bridgestone or the a spec package. Just seemed very noticeable for me in this price point /luxury segment. Vehicle is actually very heavy as well. Any thoughts on this from your review?
Micah, what makes it "Premium"? Is it the fact you have to add multiple option packages to really get the premium feel/experience that is not there without said packages? Why do premium/luxury cars NOT contain premium/luxury features in base/lower trims? It has the same standard gizmos as a Honda, but is marketed as "Premium". What is the true difference between this and a Honda touring elite passport/pilot besides the "A" badge?
It does get interesting as there is more overlap these days. Like a fully loaded toyota highlander costs more than base lexus rx350L. Yet most consider the former non-luxury and the latter a luxury car. I don't think you can point out individual features as 'luxury features', unless they are so far ahead of the curve that no non-luxury car has them. If you went by that defintion, lexus cars would never be luxury cars as they tend to be way behind on tech. And you have to cater to people with different price points so you will always have 'trims' with additional features for more money.
@@ChodTheWacko...thanks. Just me thinking out loud. I realize premium/lux goes beyond the car. Piano black trim is horrible. Have no idea why automakers think people like or want it vs. a tasteful matte finish.

I went with a minivan because you can get all of those features for at least 10k less! Still, a great car all around
The MDX will have more refinement but the minivan will have a lot more space. Which van did you end up going for and how do you like it?
Manufacturers really need to ditch the gloss black plastic... really hate it. I've own a black optics package A4 and love the exterior, however the cheap gloss black plastic interior trim is hideous! The standard aluminum is so much nicer.
