      Trust me when I say if you are committed, learning to cook your own meals will make you feel so much better. If you can cook already then even better. Try to cut out snacks, or find some very low calorie snacks that you can have. Also exercise of any form also makes you feel great, I enjoy the gym because i can listen to music. I've done all these steps and am now down 15kg total. Good luck on your journey :)

    Thank you for the great ideas, im 54 and need to drop 15 to 20 lbs. Before knee replacement surgery, i got so sidetracked trying to get a good, low intensity exercise routine. Forgetting a diet, im a chef 😅. I think my main problem was portion size. 1 cup protein, 1 cup carb, 2 cups of veg/salad, is working so much better ❤ no more pork for me. 😊😊

    Getting to reset my body by eating two meals and fasting for 22 hours and staying under 1500 cal also lefting wights . I’m doing this for 30 days. Is this a good idea . I’m 42 and have a belly

    • @Fitfatherproject
      @Fitfatherproject  Рік тому +9

      Yes! This is a fine idea for short term. Long term, it would likely be ideal for you to be eating more calories, closer to your maintenance energy expenditure. This will likely require you expanding your eating window beyond 2 hours. In the short term, you will see a lot of benefits and fat loss from this. Even though you’re only eating during 2 hour window… make sure you’re prioritizing nutrient dense foods… and ideally take some supplements (vitamins / minerals) to ensure you’re covering your micronutrient basis beyond just focusing on calories. Go get after it David! Godspeed 🔥💪🏼

      A friend seems to love mainly eating grilled tofu with a bit of toasted sesame oil at every dinner that's when I learned she was a vegetarian. Go to dinner she always served tofu with weird sides. LOL! I just thought she didn't know how to cook!

      Hey Tom, thanks for writing in and great question! You can find some tasty ideas from the filtered video list below. But tofu, tempeh, quinoa, hemp hearts, chia seeds, etc. are all great sources of protein.

    vegetables do not agree with me, I've recently tried to reintroduce them into my diet but I keep having bloated stomach and other issues. What can I substitute for vegetables?

    • @Fitfatherproject
      @Fitfatherproject  Рік тому

      Hey Ray, thanks for writing in brother and great question! The fiber can bring about a bloating feeling so something to try is slowing down when consuming veggies, setting your stomach up for digestion success. Also, training your body by slowing adding in the veggies that cause bloat over time can help. Otherwise, taking prebiotics or a digestive enzyme can help break it down easier for your stomach to handle. Good luck and thanks for watching!

    What type of lunch meat would you use on the sandwich ? I find that most are unhealthy due to high sodium and the ones that are healthier, are expensive and you get very little meat to maybe make 2 sandwiches.
    I've pondered on doing this is the past because it is easy meal prep but it's always the lunch meat I'm confused about.
    Thanks

    • @Fitfatherproject
      @Fitfatherproject  Рік тому +1

      Hey Nick, thanks for writing in and great question! We are normally looking for a "cleaner" lunch meat where the ingredients will revolve around some type of seasoning/salt and a naturally occurring nitrate like celery juice or powder. You are right that this is generally more expensive but another way to skirt this is by using leftovers from a previously made dinner. The protein from that meal is usually cheaper on a unit basis, since you are buying it in bulk form.

    Gosh! I'm always struggling on what exactly to eat and to make for each meal along with what is the exact best time to eat each meal. So YES Sir😄! This was very helpful! But can I ask all of....what is the best time to eat breakfast, then lunch and dinner? Got the eat snack at 2 or 3:00!

    • @Fitfatherproject
      @Fitfatherproject  Рік тому +2

      Hi Trisha! There are many great meal timing setups... no one is necessarily OPTIMAL for everyone. For the breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner you mentioned... I typically suggest this:
      Hydrate immediately upon waking!
      Breakfast between 6-8am.
      Lunch around noon
      Snack around 2/3
      Dinner around 5/6pm.
      Also, I recommend you check out our Fit Mother UA-cam channel! It has lots of videos specifically for women... and here's the latest one we published on meal prep / nutrition: ua-cam.com/video/YjfBmPHf4mE/v-deo.html

      @@FitfatherprojectI've never had to focus on my previous good health, plus then due to three jobs I ate at most two meals of whatever...but work kept me physically active. Unfortunately Covid and an abundance of stress knocked me hard off my feet and did a number on my present health. I really started struggling with knowing what are the best times to eat, and exactly what types of foods to pair together for better health. Many other channels I've watched made things feel complicated, and unattainable. However you are straight to the point simplifying exactly what to do, and eat. Not sure what it is but you make me feel my present health goals are achievable!

    Men are always hearing that we need .8 grams of protein per pound of body weight. That seems like a lot of protein to digest. Based on your suggestions here - I’m thinking this is about 100 grams a day. Is that enough to maintain and/or build muscle?

    • @Fitfatherproject
      @Fitfatherproject  10 місяців тому

      Hey WVU thanks for writing in and great question! 100g/day is most likely enough, depending on your current weight and your activity (resistance training helps with this too). But if looking for even more detail of what you actually need, check out this video: pulse.ly/k8jqjxyhia Best of luck!

    why do you "need" a mason jar for rolled overnight oats?
    why would you add salt to water in the morning?
    Ezekiel bread isn't found everywhere, what's a Kroger/Walmart based backup?

    • @Fitfatherproject
      @Fitfatherproject  Рік тому +3

      Hey TL, thanks for writing in! You certainly don't have to use a Mason Jar, as long as you are using another glass container to keep the ingredients in. Thanks for watching!
