      One thing I would point out is that in raw eggs the protein absorption rate is only 50% while cooked it’s 90% so if your really trying to get into say bodybuilding or powerlifting a raw egg would be pretty useless, other then that they are good.

    I eat 10 to 15 eggs a week and never get tired of it. I've told some people that and they try to tell how bad they are for me, how they will cause high cholesterol, my triglycerides are perfect and my cholesterol is a little high but good. I've been doing the Keto diet for almost two years, it's the only diet I've ever lost weight on and kept it off, it also cured arthritis in my hands.

    I have long felt I could not "trust" the organic section at the grocery store because it is not regulated under the same terms... so I felt it could just be regular bananas etc., but with an organic label on them... How do I verify that any of the items (besides packaged grass-fed meats) are actually organic? This is all brand new for me, and I do not have much money! But am 54 and want to be as healthy as I can!

    • @Fitfatherproject
      @Fitfatherproject  3 місяці тому +1

      Great question! The only way to know for sure is to contact the manufacturer or farm where they are produced. However, if trying to save some cash, a quick rule of thumb is to buy organic for the produce where you are consuming the skin/outer layer and can go conventional otherwise. Best of luck!

      Foods that are not organic CANNOT have an organic label. The companies are vigorously inspected regularly and repeated to obtain and maintain that certification. You can easily google to find out this information. It’s actually a big deal. Much more so than other food regulations. It isn’t just the seeds. The soil has to be tested as well.

    • @SilveryStorm-p9j
      @SilveryStorm-p9j Місяць тому

       @Stazy1378 Oh that is awesome to find out, and thank you for following up! Well Google has been sketchy in recent years, so I have been a lil more than hesitant to believe whatever I read there!
      Example: Google Tartrazine (yellow #5), and the initial main description alludes to tartrazine being linked to ADHD but immediately reassures that it is widely accepted in US, EU, etc.
      Digging a little deeper reveals "after three hours of exposure, yellow 5 caused damage to human white blood cells in EVERY CONCENTRATION TESTED. Researchers noted that cells exposed to the highest concentration of yellow 5 weren't able to repair themselves. This may make tumor growth and diseases like cancer more likely." NOT so safe after all! That is not acceptable at all to me.

    Cook lentils in water, after the strainer and at room temperature, throw them in a glass jar with two minced garlic cloves, parsley, chili flakes, sea salt, pepper grains and fill it with olive oil. In a couple days their flavor would be amazing and you could snack them like a champ with your favorite healthy choice of a toast as a canapé, over salads or directly with a spoon.

    I have read that Chia seeds can lower testosterine levels in men. I make my salads with spinach, tomato, cucumber, garbonzo beans, red beets, diced onion and walnuts and avacodo.. I put some good olive oil, apple cider vinegar (with the mother), and grate ginger and curcumin over the top ( I foget that I also add pumpkin seeds. It's a meal and a half.

    A lot of these items are also higher in calories such as nuts and avocados which seems counter productive to weight loss. Does the weight loss benefit of these items outweigh the added caloric intake by adding more of these items into one's diet?

    • @Fitfatherproject
      @Fitfatherproject  Рік тому +3

      Yes, exactly @pdudchenko - Those items are higher in calories, but healthy fats are essential to include in your diet. As long as your overall calorie consumption is managed and you remain in a deficit each day, you will lose weight.
      Don't forget that your body naturally burns calories, then combine that with regular activity and formal exercise, and you will have quite a few calories to play with each day.

Only note for me was that I was eating eggs daily and unfortunately for the first time in my life, my cholesterol did go up a lot and when I stopped, about 2 months later, it went back down to its former fabulous levels. :) I was very sad because I truly love eggs a lot. But I'm wondering how much of a difference it makes if your cholesterol is higher? what the thinking is these days. But I guess I can just eat them every other day and that might also make the difference.

    i love most of your content but some things you are completely OFF on, one misuse of sugar does not in itself cause diabetes and youhave stated this in previous videos, second, the color of the egg yoke is no indication at all of nutrition, the farmers can and DO inject the chickens with supplements that change the color of yoke

      Hey Jerry, thanks for writing in brother! Oats can be part of a healthy dietary intake as they are a fiber-packed, slow-burning complex carbohydrate that can keep you full for hours. You can get a well-rounded meal if you mix in some walnuts, berries, and/or protein powder to get a little bit of everything!

      You can skip the fancy stuff. Buy eggs in bulk. Focus on quality meats (also buy in bulk). You can get organic chicken for like $3/lb. I just recorded a video last week on how to eat healthy on a tight budget. That will publish soon and you’ll probably like that video a lot because its very doable financially. I got you! Relevant advise is coming soon 🙏🏼💯

      It’s good from a macronutrient perspective (high protein, some healthy fats)… but it is high in methyl mercury which is neurotoxic and accumulates in the body. When eaten occasionally, it’s fine… but I would caution everyone against eating it very often. There are other low mercury fish that are better choices (sardines, mackerel, wild salmon)
