5:54 - I love how you both take aim at exactly the same time!!! HaHaHa! That's funny! Great idea for your son. He really likes it and he has a fantastic view. What a great memory for him, too, watching his parents build him a "cabin" bed. Sweet!
First off I wanted to thank you all for sharing your projects, inspirations, and your love for family. It's good to see families working together. BTW I think Alaska is beautiful.
You are amazing Ana - thank you !! I'm a female builder & you've inspired me to document my own renovations on youtube! THANK YOU for the constant inspiration. Been following you for a long time!! XO
I always LOVE your family furniture builds and ideas...But I have to say I find myself smiling while watching your family interact and the gratitude and excitement they have for the finished product!
Ana & Jacob, we want to thank you for all your video, insights and most of all sharing!!! My hubby and I are planning on building a tiny home later this year possibly into next year. I absolutely fell in love with your tiny home build. Unfortunately, we are avoiding the bunk, because it would not be smart for 2 people in their 60’s to have to climb. I have searched the web with no success on how to build a sofa/Murphy bed, and though the idea is out there, no one like yourselves have shared their plans on one that is a comfortable sofa by day and a comfortable pull down Murphy bed by night. Hoping this might be one of your amazing projects for a family room, or the cabin etc. Thank you again for always sharing!!!
Jan Leyba Did you see their elevator bed in the tiny house they built for a client? I’ll be 60 in 2 months and that’s the bed system I’ll use in my tiny house, except I’ll have it come down as low as possible to the floor (maybe 4”-6” lower than theirs.)
barbara kvistad, yes I did. I love the concept, however I thinking it will be easier to make the bed from both sides and I believe it is right down their alley if they have a need for extra sleeping needs, also being a 2 in one is great for space and weight.
You all make me smile! I have worked in a home improvement big box store for 18 years. It's so nice to see finished projects when I see the raw materials go out the doors. Also, I so enjoy the scenes of the woods and wildlife.
My goodness! Ana and Jacob are always amazing. I have never built anything (aside from some jewelry), but now I feel like I could build that bed. I'm inspired! Thank you.
As always I love your stuff!Love seeing Hayes help build his own bed. I can't believe Hayes is already 5! You have been my inspiration since Grace was a little girl! Unbelievable! Keep it up!
Can I sleep there tonight??? My first thought was, OMG that looks like fun! That beats bunk beds totally. You could hang a light and a string of lights and curtains and whatever else. Super cool.
love the bed...I didn't realize till the end that it was to go by the window....I assumed you were tucking it under the eaves cubby area....this is so great... you'll have to film a bit of the northern lights for all us desert dwellers who don't get to see them.... Do you have any interest in showing renovated kitchen cabinets? stock cabinets that we have to live with but that need to be turned into drawers for recycling and/or storage and how to go about doing that? the full extension drawer glides are expensive so I wonder if there is not some other way we could use to get out cabinets out for easy of use. Thanks for any info you might have....and of course, I understand if you don't have the time.
Such a cute bed and a beautiful view!!!!! I keep using your videos to convince my hubby to visit Alaska and he keeps using them to show me why it won't happen. :-( lol. So I'll just imagine while watching your videos.
The White house we all need. Love the bed,but there would have to be a few changes. Because even at 70 I would still need a skid pad placed on that roof. Love your stuff!!!!
I’m curious if the windows let in cold drafts or are they sealed? The temp has dropped to 9 degrees here at night recently and the windows are ice cold. That is a huge window and you’re in Alaska, how do you do it? Love this project! If you walked into our house at random, you would see furniture pieces you have designed!! Thank you for your generosity and sharing these projects!
Hi saw the other person comment about the window. Having six kids I have to agree....maybe one board going across the back side of bed holding mattress and sticking up 6 inches would still allow him to escape in case of (God forbid), a fire. But provide a boundary, so he doesn't hit the glass rough housing by himself, or with friends. Just a suggestion....love, love ,LOVE your channel !!!!! 😊
It’s not as bad as I would have thought but definitely not as easy as a regular bed. You can reach over the side panels pretty easy, but I wouldn’t call it a breeze
It looks like everyone loves that bed.......great job guys. Gotta tell you guys though, you keep showing those mountains and landscapes in the background and you may have a bunch of new neighbors that you don't want.......just sayin!
We were actually thinking it could help the kids escape if there ever was a fire and are installing a fire escape rope. We will probably need to rethink all this when they turn into teenagers though
Super cool idea n will definitely will b making this for my girls...on another note does anyone get nervous when the lil one leans up against the window...im just paranoid i think lol
I’m a new subscriber so maybe I missed something on the website but I couldn’t find plans for this specific project and I love that this one is just two tools-does anyone know if/where the plans for this are? Thanks!
Very nice. The only thing that bothers me is the window right next to the bed. Maybe a guarg rail along that side. You know kids, running and jumping on the bed.
Hi folks! I’ve been watching your videos and I subscribe to your channel not too long ago, and I love it, I need a suggestion I’m building a candy cart but I will like to know what’s the best tool to used to put together the cart? Since I’m handy but need a little help on this one 😂 thanks.
You could use screws like we do in this video, it really depends on the project and how it is to bye used. You may be able to nail and glue it, but I wouldn’t suggest nails for the structure of the project if it is an actual workout g cart
Don't Your children jump on the bed with their cousins and friends? Mine did and they broke the bed. My fear is, Yours could break the windows. The bed itself is wonderful. 💞

Thank you! He’s loving it now!

What a cool bed - you can tell he loves it. And another Anna White success!!!
My goodness! Ana and Jacob are always amazing. I have never built anything (aside from some jewelry), but now I feel like I could build that bed. I'm inspired! Thank you.
HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY young man!! Enjoy your "big boy" bed!! 🎉🎈🎂
BEAUTIFUL bed !! Thank you and seems simple enough!! 💞
As always I love your stuff!Love seeing Hayes help build his own bed. I can't believe Hayes is already 5! You have been my inspiration since Grace was a little girl! Unbelievable! Keep it up!
How cool for your son. You and Jacob are just amazing. I love all the projects you tackle and am so impressed by your skills!!
Super neat and reminds me of a cabin/hunting stand. I am sure he will sleep great in the new bed he helped build.
I am 45 and I want this bed. Looks cozy!
Reclaiming your bed one kid at a time... : ) Looks great as always. Keep up the great work. ATB
I just love watching your videos and seeing your kids grow up soo fast. LOVE this beautiful family :)
I don't think ive come across something I don't like. Keep them coming!
Love it! I haven't built anything. I just love to watch how easy you make it look.
He is getting so big! Great Big Boy bed for a great kid !
Can I sleep there tonight??? My first thought was, OMG that looks like fun! That beats bunk beds totally. You could hang a light and a string of lights and curtains and whatever else. Super cool.
awesome build project your son looked so happy and excited for it.
Great little bed and the Horns up at the top. Makes me wish I was a kid again.
Cool bed, thank you for sharing your story. God bless you and your family
You guys are such a pretty family
Your son is so cute! I think kids would love this.
Very cool... Awesome view .... Way to go Mom and Dad!
That’s so amazing! I hope I can keep learning more advanced skills and make something like this for my kids one day. Very nice
Dude I am so jealous...you get to sleep in a cool bed ,and awesome views of the northern lights....
It’s been awhile since I have been here. I see you guys are doing great. One more awesome project done.
love the bed...I didn't realize till the end that it was to go by the window....I assumed you were tucking it under the eaves cubby area....this is so great... you'll have to film a bit of the northern lights for all us desert dwellers who don't get to see them.... Fabulous! And he is so excited.
Great project! Nice work, as always. I just hope that when your son comes running in and jumps on the bed, there are no accidents with that window!

explain CauseIdontGetIT I’m thinking that the windows must be triple pane and that they seal very well without any leaks.
5? No way!! I remember when he was born. I didn't realize I've been following you that long
Super awesome bed. Thanks for sharing.
I love it! I remember having my bed against the window as a kid so I could see the stars at night. Maybe I should make this bed for me :)
Awesome nite light ...the Northern Lights. Great bed for your boy :).
Hi saw the other person comment about the window. Such a fun bed for a little boy
Whoa! Every 5 year old boy's dream! Love the little moose rack. That's a great touch. : - D
Muito criativo, parabéns, linda paisagem....
Great build for a great spot! I would spent my days in bed with that view.
Very awesome build, and give's ideas to anyone wanting to put like Cedar Shake siding on it, like me. Thanks for another good video.
Nice video Ana & Jacob! Thanks for sharing.👍😎JP
Great build, great video!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love this!! Where are the plans for a king bed? 😉😄
My parents have been promising me a big-boy bed for the last 31 years.
Ha!!
Love it! Thanks for the 2 tool build 😁
Awesome build!♥️
That's really cool.
Love this. Now that hes had this bed for awhile how easy is it to change the sheets every week
Great project.
Going to try this. Completely new. What screws would you recommend? #10 ?
Love this! Any thoughts for how to translate this plan into an outdoor playhouse?
That's a cool idea, we do have some existing playhouse plans. It just depends on what you'd like included or what mods you'd want to incorporate.
Very nice project.......a little nervous by the window. Any precautions?
We were actually thinking it could help the kids escape if there ever was a fire and are installing a fire escape rope. We will probably need to rethink all this when they turn into teenagers though
@@AnaWhiteDIY lol good deal..thanks for responding. Nervousness cleared**
Nice build ! Is there a board under the mattress to prevent it from sagging even though the slats are pretty close ? Thumbs up.
Great bed for a little one.
I remember when I was a kid, oh many many many years ago, and I finally graduated to my big boy bed, I felt like I was king of the world
Love it!
Hi Ana and thanks for sharing. Will you please tell me more about the paint? Is it acrylic paint or wood stain? Thanks!
Oh WOW VERY KOOL DESIGN 👍🏼.....
AND IT IZ NOT EVEN MONDAY YET. lol
( KNUCKLE👊🏽BUMP ) Ana White/Jacob.....
I vote for some hockey 🏒 build of some sort!!! ❤️🏒🏒❤️
"You gonna sleep here tonight?" LOL
Super cool idea n will definitely will b making this for my girls...on another note does anyone get nervous when the lil one leans up against the window...im just paranoid i think lol
Perfect family !!! Thanks for your videos
Looks easy
It is!
Woah!!!! Is it Monday already??
I’m a new subscriber so maybe I missed something on the website but I couldn’t find plans for this specific project and I love that this one is just two tools-does anyone know if/where the plans for this are? Thanks!
I’m sorry I was late getting the plans posted here they are www.ana-white.com/2019/01/free_plans/treehouse-bed
Omg love it
Are going to leave the bed against the window?
Awesome!
great bed - however - why did you leave the border by the window completely open - i would have at least added one or two slates for safety sake?
Love this!!
How are you going to keep him from going out the window.
Do you put poly on the stuff yall stain?
Very nice. The only thing that bothers me is the window right next to the bed. Maybe a guarg rail along that side. You know kids, running and jumping on the bed.
Adorei
What was the name of the paint?
❤
It reminds me of a chicken coop. While watching the video I was thinking WOW you didn't use a kreg jig.
Wouldn't it be cool if there was a hinged cabin door on the front, eh?
Happen to have free plans?
Jonathan O'Connell they’re on the site:)
How do you make the bed to sleep in?????
It’s actually really easy to just reach over the panels and make the bed. I was also thinking about one of those zip up beds to make life even easier
@@AnaWhiteDIY Zip up bed likely be more like campin'/hunting! Great fun for the little guy.
Hi folks! I’ve been watching your videos and I subscribe to your channel not too long ago, and I love it, I need a suggestion I’m building a candy cart but I will like to know what’s the best tool to used to put together the cart? Since I’m handy but need a little help on this one 😂 thanks.

I think you need to protect that window, you know what boys are.
@Rose A kid bouncing on the bed could injure himself or break the glass. Normally glass at that height would have to be toughened.
@Rose with boys beside the window like that ill put half inch thick plastic glass in front of it
Don't Your children jump on the bed with their cousins and friends? Mine did and they broke the bed. My fear is, Yours could break the windows. The bed itself is wonderful. 💞
Friedas dottir there’s a roof on the bed. Don’t think they can jump that high
That’s gonna be a pain to change the sheets
Omg...just come build my house already!! Lol
Hays looks so much older all the sudden. Stop growing!!!
I would be nervous of kids jumping on the bed or playing around and falling out the window.
I wish you had a little girl and would build a girls version. ♥
