The first half of the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.
@@AnaWhiteDIY can you give measurements for a full size higher version please! I would love to make this with a closet or small sofa under it! My mind is in idea mode.
This is a good looking bed, Ana. I'm looking forward to seeing how you customize the area underneath the bed to create utility and storage. Thanks for sharing the video and the plans.
We built this bed for our son's new room. His room is small and this worked out amazingly. It was easy to build and with all materials with covid prices we had about $100 in it. Great price for such a nice bed that will last a lifetime and can be passed down when he outgrows it. Thank you for the plans.
I would LOVE a higher Loft bed - double size - and then other furniture you could put under it - like a desk, bookshelf, dresser, ... - but what would send it over the moon - is a way to tuck the sheets in on the wall side corners - from underneath - i love bunk beds but the sheet situation can be an ordeal! LOVE your work, btw.
I was just seeing your past videos with you been pregnant on them (the ones about your new home) and ZAZ! There’s a tiny pink beauty hanging around today’s project. OMG! I wasn’t aware of the passing time! Hope you’re doing great and keep receiving many blessings. Hugs from Tampico, México 🇲🇽
you are amazing. I found your blog about 10 years ago and I now have an opportunity and need to build my boys a loft and bunk. I've got 3 boys. My 2 older ones share a room and the ceilings are low. So I need a bunk that has short legs. The bottom mattress would set on the floor inside the frame, and the higher bunk would need to be low enough for my son to sit up in bed without hitting the ceiling. This lower loft bed is perfect for my other son who has a low ceiling as well. I may try to lengthen the legs just a tiny bit so I can fit his desk underneath. Thank you so much for all you do!
I need to build a bed frame I can put in a van I'm converting. I love that the height of the four corner pieces can be cut to a height that will fit the exact space you're working with. I'm excited to try this. Thank you!

LOVE this Ana. I've promised to build my son a new bed by his 8th birthday in October and hadn't yet settled on a design. Would really appreciate a bunk bed option. Thanks for all your tutorials. You have inspired me over this past year - a mama of 3 with very little woodworking experience 🌷
Another amazing build by Ana. Yes, I love it to. What a great idea for a young active boy to have. And his toy box could go under it to play w/his cars & GI Joe's, if they still play w/those. You can tell HOW old I am, BC kids play on tablets & phones now day Chris..... OMG I'M OUT OF TOUCH W/KIDS NOW DAYS.....smh! Whatever he plays w/he will have the time of his life building even a fort under that nice sturdy bed. Great job Ana, Chris from Missouri

Looks great I am going to try this for a shed we have in the back of the home. Thinking of using it as a extra room for visitors. Bumps bed may be better but would lose the storage under the bed. Thanks
I have teens that share a bedroom for now. I’d love to have a twin over queen setup that will come apart and be a loft bed for her (that we can add a desk to), and a queen bed for him when we find a bigger place and they get their own rooms. We struggle because he has Down syndrome and likes to sleep sideways and he doesn’t have the language to understand - it’s a struggle! 🤣 Love your channel! I feel like you make it clear enough that I can do it!
once again your plans have been perfect. I made your slatted 4 post bed for us and it is amazing....this is exactly what I need for my boys and it is so affordable from what I had been seeing from other ideas. I hope you post storage solutions soon as I am going to do that as well. I enjoy seeing your ideas :)
Oh my gosh I'm so glad I saved this one I found it the first time. Yes yes yes I would love to see you make a slightly higher low loft bed. I want to create a low loft full-sized bed that has storage steps just to one side. That way I have storage and steps rather than a ladder. I'll be working in a limited space In the back of a converted shuttle bus so the total height of the space I'm putting it in is going to be roughly 88"L x 78"H x 60" W. I can have total storage underneath :-) I'm figuring putting the bed across the back. I was thinking of having storage steps that go over one of the wheel wells to one side and the other has double doors that will open up so it'll be a bed with a view :-) or closed and just be an incognito wall with some storage space
Thanks for the visit, have you seen this plan www.ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/camp-loft-bed-stair-junior-height You may be able to modify for your space and needs.
Yes, a build plan with a higher loft (and maybe a full size instead of twin) would be great. My son’s room is small and it would be great to use the space underneath as a study space or gaming area.
Mezzanine with walk-in closet underneath. Very clean lines. Something for a studio apartment that doesn't look like a bed. I guess I am trying to say like two rooms closet with storage and mezzanine that feels private.
@@AnaWhiteDIY thank you I have a 34sqm studio space in Germany, with a small balcony. Hence the need for something that looks like two separate spaces. Here in Germany closets are not built in. So you have to buy a storage cabinet for clothes, linens, anything you need to store... So the space can fill up quickly if your not careful with planning. Luckily most ceilings are 11ft or higher...
Yes a higher loft bed with a slide for the kids to slide out of bed with some storage for toys and clothes and a tv mount and a desk underneath so they can have their own study time.
Love this bed. I'm also interested in possibly doing a full size version for my daughter. We've been eyeballing the camp loft bed but like this design better.
Yes! I need a bunk bed though, cause twins. But I am so excited about the low bunk bed idea because they are 5 and the one that sleeps on the top sometime likes to sleep at the foot of the bed where there is no rail and it freaks me out!

Nice build, Anna. I'd like a top bunk, loft setup set for older teens or adults. Full or 3/4 width mattresses and linens, if 3/4 size is still made, and a desk with regular and USB outlets. Or a lounge area-love seat underneath, with expanded headroom. Thank you Ana!!💚(Ed. for content)

My little boy will be older this year! Much ! When he was young his father built him a raised bed with a 3-4 foot platform! It was lucky it was built longer because he grew longer and had to use the platform for his pillow! Wouldn’t let his father remake it till he was in college! Enjoy!
This is amazing. What steps would you add if you were making it a full size one? Adding a support in the middle for the slats? Or would I need to add an extra middle leg on headboard and foot of the bed as well?
