- Ok, I know in the video I said the 2x4s were 8 feet but, they were 10ft!!! However, you DO NOT need 10ft boards, that’s why I said what I said 😅. Two 2x4x8 will be just enough!
Also, I forgot to mention in the video that home depot will actually cut plywood for you! If you don't have any saws at home you can simply have them cut the 2x4s straight instead of on an angle. So, then your legs would be RECTANGULAR and not in the shape I decided to do! With that said the measurements for RECTANGULAR legs could be something like 24x29.
Thank you so much for watching my video!
Measurements:
Table top: 65 inches long, 35 inches wide
Leg cuts:
-Two 29 inch side pieces
-One 10 inch top piece
-One 24 inch bottom piece
Plywood: thd.co/3kpl7L5
Boards: thd.co/3dR6IpE
Edgebanding: thd.co/3dOXslP

making this this week with this leftover wood top I have. very pumped!! thank you
Good luck and have fun!😄
This is exactly what I was looking for ❤️
I love this video! Just note that this table will cost over $80 now due to the higher cost of lumber, the plywood is $60, boards are $8.50 each, 8oz stain is $5, 8oz polyurethane is $10 and edge taping is $8. Totaling $100
Totally agree, however this was made before all of the increases, thankfully!😅
Hey ! great table ! Can you be more specific in the angles of the leg cuts please? Awesome channel !
10° table saw or circule saw
Excellent video. I am going to try this to make our round table top rectangular at the lowest coat possible.
Prices are definitely crazy now, good luck!
So adorable im trying to look amazon, ikea etc is so extreme Expensive is crazy but your clever idea omg of
Course i dont have no tools at all but i think i will safe this video for the future is amazing idea thank u so so much i love the way you explain everything 🙏🏼👍🏻♥️
Yea that’s why I made my own haha!😋
@@maynunez yes its crazy prices for things we can do our own. But clever idea i really love it !!!!!! ♥️💞
Just what I needed !!!!!!!! Thank you
Glad this was helpful!😊

Cool job well done
Great job!
Thank you sooo much!😭
Really nice and doable
Thank you!
Have you had any issues with the table wobbling or the plywood bowing? Looks great!
Gorgeous💜 You killed this! New subbie here💖
Thank you!🤗😘
I’m making this today, I am gonna finish the top w PU and paint the legs black… wish me luck
Love this, we have the same dinning chairs but I hate how the black piece shows under them.
Hmm mine doesn’t have a black piece underneath.
@@maynunez Ok , I guess I got if from a different maker. Mine have black fabric under the bottom but I am going to try taping or stapling it down
You convinced me that they can be very classy.
Great table! Does the table wobble since there’s no connecting brace between the two legs?
I have just built it from red oak wood. And yes it wobbles. I added L brackets and it did not help much
You can always add a 2x4 connecting both legs, right under the table. I did this with an outdoor patio table I made and it’s pretty sturdy!
For those need help on the angles . She didn’t explain it clearly . however this might help All the angles are 45 however The directions are not all pointed in the same direction for the sides . So at the bottom they point out and the top is pointed in. If you keep your board at 45 measure 28 inches and do not flip the board for the sides . However when you do the top and bottom make a 45 degree angle then flip the board and make the next. That’s how you get the top and bottom
Obviously words were hard for me in the video 😂 thank you for explaining!
@@maynunez you’re welcome! You did a great job ! I’ll be using this, this weekend to build my L shaped table !
I love it!!!! Have fun!
Could you maybe explain how this is working? If its a 45 degree angle I'd think then the base and height are gonna be the same length and so the base is going to be super broad and the height's only gonna be around 10 inches but it doesn't look like that so im confused how its working? I just don't want to make the wrong cuts and then waste the wood
I'd love to make one but need it to seat 6 persons
Where did you get your chairs? Definitely the style I'm looking for.
I got them on Amazon!
Everything is so ridiculous expensive, even at the most cheapest place 😒 🙄 😑
Thank you for this 💡 idea, it help a lot
You’re welcome!😋
does it sag around the edges or middle after a couple of months?
It didn’t sag for us, but if you want to avoid any at all, maybe get thicker plywood!😄
Do Home depot get those pieces into angled cuts? If we provide them specific measurement?
I am not sure honestly
How had the table held up for you?
Debating going this route because the prices of tables now are insane for the look I am going for. On top of being low quality 😩
I want to try and make a table too but I think I may try to buy ready made legs.
Yeah you can definitely buy the legs!
Beut ti ful
Where are the chairs from?
Amazon! I searched for mid century modern dining chairs!
Hello! I did all 45° angles and it didn't work at all 😭 I did them the same direction you did. Are you sure its not 15°? 45 is a harsh angle and yours looks more blunt..
Yes they were 45! It helps to draw it out and see how each side is supposed to face.
..that does not look like 45 degrees at all and at 45 degrees your original 3 pieces if they are flush would fit like a square and not a trapezoid. Im having a similar issue
All the angles are 45 however The directions are not all pointed in the same direction for the sides . So at the bottom they point out and the top is pointed in. If you keep your board at 45 measure 28 inches and do not flip the board for the sides . However when you do the top and bottom make a 45 degree angle then flip the board and make the next. That’s how you get the top and bottom
The legs are definitely not a 45 degree cut, they're around 15 degrees.
Do you remember how thick the plywood is?
I believe I mentioned it in the video 😄 I can’t remember off the top of my head!
@@maynunez ok I’ll watch again.
There is no way that this table will not sag. Specially with a full thanksgiving set up this will be sagging for sure. It’s cute but it won’t hold up.
Then make it and find out!😄 Mine doesn’t sag!
@@maynunez No thank u, Im sorry I want something that will last. This is a 3/4 plywood; I know it wont, but like I said it looks cute🤷
No problem! But if you wanted something that would last perhaps don’t watch videos with titles such as “how to build a table under $60” 😀
@@kram03yout do you know how patronising you sound. No advice on how to make it stronger just your typical internet warrior patronising tone.
@@maynunez if you do see it starting to sag before it get bad maybe you could add two more beams from one leg to the other. Just to create a rectangle under the table. I hope I’m explaining myself ok 😬..😂
Hay naku stop yelling lolol
under $60 but one of the plywood cost $75, I did not understand!
Did you see when it was made?… prices have changed.
I’m making this today, I am gonna finish the top w PU and paint the legs black… wish me luck
Hope it came out well!
