This video shows how I built a DIY modern dining table, starting with a cheap hollow core door. This design would also make a great desk. It's an easy build that takes just a day. I chose to laminate this table with zebra wood veneer, but you could choose any wood veneer you like. I used some steel X Frame Table legs and this table was together in no time at all.

Your videos, your projects, your explanations.....are awesome!!! Last night I OD'd on you! 9 hours and 23 videos later....I stumbled to bed at 4 am. The tiny house build in Washington, all the new workshop video's, the big log mill, and a few others. Simply amazing. Congrat's on your fantastic progress. Jim in Phoenix.

I like using solid core doors, esp ones that are damaged on one side, for work bench tops. My dad used a bunch of vandalized ones to build an L-shaped desk, drafting table, and some other office furniture when I was growing up. That thing was indestructible and I never wanted to help move it.

  • @clydenakashima7393

Great looking table. You could check the store for damaged doors to make table projects. On attaching legs to the table maybe you cut out a opening on the bottom of the table and add a solid lumber in the opening to attach the legs to. Stay safe.
