Hey man, I noticed those gloves you're wearing. Those are so frustrating to wear. Try buying some Maxiflex gloves. You'll be glad you did! They're great.
This was great, thanks, I been tryin to find out about "build furniture with 2x4" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Venoffison Wooden Exploration - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my friend got great results with it.
I love that you show not what only went well, but little mistakes along the journey! 💖
The 4 x 4 box was genius!! Necessity is truly the mother of invention. Great build Brad!
Thanks, Chris! The last time I cut metal in the shop I was cleaning up shavings for a month!
Very nice table👍👌
Great table, Brad. More than I would tackle but you pulled it off. This is from one engineer to another. Stay safe and healthy.
Bill
thanks, Bill! It was definitely a big undertaking
Sick, Awesome collab and that white oak is so clean 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Thanks, Mike! And somehow I called this the biggest thing I've built. I clearly blacked out my memory of that beast cedar table we did out there 😂😂. Biggest thing I'm keeping would be better 😀👍
You are one of my teachers in this wooden hobby. thank you your channel is very useful for me as a beginner Peaceful greetings from Indonesia
Thank you very much!
The way you installed those threaded inserts is really clever. They can be a nightmare!
Yes, it made it quite easy!
Nice looking table.
Thanks!
Excellent project... Thanks for sharing...
Thanks for watching!
"Grinding and painting make you the welder you ain't" classic! Great build.
Pretty nice Mr. Build That.
:) thanks!
You can also hang some fiberglass insulation on the shield to catch the metal filings.
Very cool Brad. Nice simple lines but, still a lot of character. Hoping all is well & Dirty Jersey out!!!
Thanks, brother! 💪 💪
Nice build. Looks awesome.
Thanks!
Very good👍🏻🤟
Awesome work
Thanks a lot 😊
2 great tips for future projects that cool edge profile and driving in the insert with a impact drill.
Thanks Brad keep up the great work.
I agree. Those were great tips.
You bet!
Beaut that mate.
awesome as always
thanks!
Killer project Brad! Really love that table base!
Amazing 👏🏼

I know! Took a month off for various reasons, but I'm coming on full bore now!
Very good 👍 skills sir nice design
This came out great man!! Really like it! Have done a few white oak projects and I'm starting to think when I finally redo our dining table, it'll be white oak.
thanks, man!
Very nice!
Thanks!
HGTV level quality production. Great job!
Brad so happy to see you expand into some metalwork. You make it look so easy. Good decision on the chamfer, I may copy that exact chamfer for an upcoming project.
Thanks, Shaun! The welding is definitely not that easy, lol
Love the table. Great job.
Thanks so much, Billy!
Nice build, thanks!
Glad you like it!
Very nice looking table. Bicept curls one pint at a time my friend. That is the workout I'm on.
Great job Brad, nice table..
Glad you enjoyed it
I hope you do more of these, I love watching the transformation of rough wood to a beautiful piece of furniture like that, great vid👍
More to come!
Awesome work Brad! 😃👍🏻👊🏻

You’re gonna love using this table for years! Nice work BR!
Thanks, Prusa!

This is such an awesome table, Brad! Beautiful work, as always.
Dining tables are always a chore. Looks fantastic though brotha!
thanks so much!
haha I like the framed pic of Norm!
on of my prized possessions in the shop :)
Keep doing the good work I’m
Learning a little bit more
With the tri-legs the table looks complete different from the other normal table. It is power of design.
Awesome video! Table Looks amazing!
Thanks so much!
Looks like I need to save some cardboard boxes! Looks awesome.
Great table! In the middle of building almost the exact table out of Wenge. Had to buy the metal legs unfortunately as I don't have room for metal-working.
Wow, bet that is beautiful
Nice chamfer 👌🏻👍🏼
Thanks 👍
Awesome!
Thanks!
Terrific video. Really inspirational. Much appreciated. Thanks.
the video is very very good ...
Awesome job and great video, thanks!
That turned out great! I’m digging that corner detail.
On a side note. I’m not in the “anti sponsor” camp. I totally understand the situation. I will say though I found myself actually interested and engaged in this add because it wasn’t only pertinent to making but also relative to the project. Just a thought.
Awesome! Thank you! I love it when I can integrate really pertinent sponsors.
Welds didn't look that bad! I agree with the grinder and paint theory.
How do you see an ingrain(?) herringbone butcharblock countertop going? Is that a thing? I'm new to wood working, but you're by far my favorite to watch and learn from.
Beautiful table Alex! Great build and video, turned out great!
beautiful build.. I love it
Excellent build!
Wow🤩
That's really amazing table!
thanks!
Wow! It looks great 👍
Thanks. I might build my dining table. Thanks for the idea. I like the style of the table top and metal base.
Looks great! You did a great job. Great video btw.
Thanks so much!
Very comprehensive build tutorial as always, love it! I think we all could use a friend like Matt
Yes we could! :)
amazing video
You have such great ideas. I only wish I had sponsors to pay for all of my tools!
Great table, Brad !! I really like the design of the base - I call it "Early 21st Century Modern".... :)
Hahaha, Modern definitely can mean a lot of things these days. Thanks for watching as always!
outstanding job thank you for the video.
As usual, another nice job by Brad. I missed the application of your "ME NAILS" on this one. Sorry, I had to do that. 😁👍
Thanks, Steve! I'll get the me nails next time :)
@@Fixthisbuildthat OK. I'll be watching!

this guys shop is antique la-Rustic furniture
I love your channel! You’re so talented! It is sometimes hard to concentrate though because you’re oh so very handsome. Especially with that hat backwards 🤤! Keep up the good work bub!
One more subscriber coming right up! Let's hit a million. First one is the harderst.
First video I've seen using threaded inserts - is this better than standard screws? Guessing you don't tighted screws too much to allow 2-3mm movement?
What is that contraption under your makeshift mdf work table? It looks like something I need. 😆
It's this workstand amzn.to/39Du8sJ
@@Fixthisbuildthat oh my, i didn't know this existed. You know how this could have saved my back and knees if I would have known!!!! Thank you!
Спасибо тебе за это видео! Хорошая работа!
I noticed you had both the kreg and bow products feather board. Do you prefer one over the other?
the Kreg has more flex that's why I switched to it because the boards started having a lot of change in width. For straight boards I prefer the bow
Great table and video. I'm jealous of both jointers as i still don't have one. I still use a #7 hand plane.
Question about the welding. Do you use gas or do you use flux core wire?
How essential would you say a biscuit joiner is? Been thinking of getting one mainly for aligning panel glue ups but not 100% sold if it will help or not.
I rarely use them. Anything less than about 24" wide on a glue up or 4 boards or less I won't use one
Wow ,very nice .If you can import metal table legs in China, we will be your best choice. The price and quality will make you very satisfied.
When I was learning to weld my dad told me "if you can't weld good, weld plenty".
Nice table & legs (table legs that is) I need more space & tools & wood, and I’ll be ready to make a large needed table
Can I ask how you attached table top and to allow for wood movement?
Very impressive build and the final product looks great. I like the design of the base. Does the "t" concept add some stability to the table. I recently did a table with meal legs and I felt that there is too much "wobble" ie it shakes a little too much for me Thinking that the t shape may help eliminate that Thoughts Steve
Hi there, really enjoyed that, how thick was the lumber you used?
When you say you leave wood in your shop to acclimate, what do you mean?
Totally dope videos btw.
Could the leg structure not be made out of wood? Joinery v welding?
it will bend like a bow in time
Hello! How much do you charge to make this exact item and ship it?
Question if you don't mind...you acclimated the wood to your environment as you were making this for your personal use. How do you approach building things for others where you don't have the ability to acclimate the wood to their environment? Thanks
What kind of wood would you recommend for staining?
Hi, what cutting wheel did you use for cutting the steel (mitre)? It looks solid
The diablo cermet. Awesome blade amzn.to/2xWc2oY
Just curious, are those yellow handle tools designed to prevent you from slicing an appendage off?
Yes, they are push blocks to keep your fingers safe
Hello. I am not sure you will see this comment.. But Im still asking 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Is the biscuit jointer's better than pocket holing and screw each board to each other? Mine never end up as flush as I want.. So I was starting to think about a biscuit jointer.
Convince me. Go. Haha.
Thank you for the video!!
Nice table!
I see you've got the Mirka Deros sander. I've working on a counter top that will need lots of sanding, and I've been thinking of buying that same sander, though probably without the dust extractor. (I've already got a good extractor.) How long have you had the Deros, and how much do you like it?
I've had it for a couple months now and I like it a lot! The paddle is nice and the 6" pad makes sanding go fast. I was hoping it would completely eliminate vibration but it doesn't. Though it's definitely nicer than my old RIDGID
Fix This Build That Thanks! I'm sure it will be a step up from my 20-year-old DeWalt sander. Do you have the one with a 2.5mm orbit, or the 5.0mm? Do you think it matters? I'm leaning towards the 2.5mm one since I'll mostly be using it for finish sanding, and I've read that the smaller orbits are better for that.
Stunning table, could the legs be made out of wood as I don't have a welder in my shop
