Snow day's, my Granddaughter texted me telling how her and the cousins got together behind their house to go sledding. "Grammy it was so much fun".
I told her how as a child I used to go sledding and tobogganing back behind the same land. Making memories to last a lifetime.

What you said about the double sided fireplace reminded me of my grandparents house in Georgia. It had a fireplace in several rooms, downstairs and upstairs. But at some point they were closed up because my mother would talk about jumping out of bed and running downstairs to get dressed in front of the furnace. This was my idea of a perfect day for both kids and parents!! 😁💖👍
That fireplace is amazing. Hopefully you are able to put inserts in so that it can heat your house, for now it is a beautiful sight, it's like an indoor campfire. Your children are all so special and unique. Bri you are glowing with momma love.

Ahhh, the snow fun. Growing up in the midwest was wonderful. We loved playing in the snow, having icicle sword fights and turning the a.m. radio on to see if we'd get a snow day!

I was not raised in the snow and when we did venture up to the mountains of California to play in the snow as a family, I quickly learned that cold hands can be painful, my nose would run and I would rather watch from a warm area than be out in it. Here I am in my living room under a warm blanket watching your lovely family have fun. Enjoy! 🥰

The trees coated in snow were so pretty. I’m in Dallas and it doesn’t snow a lot here. A long time ago we had an ice storm. I will never forget the sun shining through the trees. The ice made every surface glisten. It was beautiful.
Just love this family, simply perfect in a human sort of way. This is what we need real authentic people for these strange times.
That is one super nice fireplace! Kids looked like they had so much fun sledding! Do they have a place on the property for skating? My parents had the hill, so the all the kids for a mile in either direction would be skiing, sledding or tobogganing. The neighbors had a creek that we had a place to skate on! Great place to grow up!

Not fair. Northern Pennsylvania and we haven't gotten any snow. All we have is mud and it hasn't been cold enough to kill off bugs. Good news is, our chickens are still happy.

In Missouri we had the 3rd warmest December on record, much like your's I guess. A lot of days in the 60°F and 70°F very strange.

My ex would take Mental Health days from work. If I wasn't at work I was sick or injured. I never thought about just taking a day off because I wasn't mentally all there. My best sales day about 7K was a day that I had a slight cold and laryngitis.
I never have known the joy and could be a burden to have a little one so dependent upon you to take care of their needs. I just watched Art help your next youngest one(his name escapes me now) put on his boots. He was so secure in holding on to Dad's arm. Reminds me of my Dad so long ago.
Keep them babies safe. No rough housing, yet. Lol. Everyone else have fun.
My twin grandsons made it 21 months without having a broken bone. One of them fell down broke an arm. My son figured with twin boys he was doing good. Dr asked if they wanted plaster cast or air splint. No plaster cast please.

If you put their gloves on tucked under their long sleeved shirts and then put their coats on (instead of tucking under the coat sleeve afterwards) the glove stays tucked in place longer. Also you can cut the tops off a tube sock and sew it onto a glove top that will ensure the glove is securely under the coat sleeve.

Your draft will improve on the fireplace if you block those other vent holes that your video showed as they are also inducing draft and sucking air from the house. If the windy or during a cold start-up, these vents may exude smoke as well.
Bri looks tired but happily content at the end of video. Must be the cold then the warmth of the house after polar plunging. A epic sled riding hill is a must as a kid. My grandparents had one. Down hill with a hump at the bottom onto bottom (flats) land. Plus your at grandparents so hot cocoa and fresh baked cookie/pies. What a lovely day.
What chilly fun! Your kids have so much fun together. I had fun like that with my 9 younger siblings and would not take anything for the memories though I am almost 70 now. They will never forget these days. The poor children without so many brothers and sisters are not so nearly blessed.

@@sarahworkman3223 Great Sarah! Hardly anyone has large families like ours any more. People always ask 'What is it like to grow up in a large family'? It's all I have ever known so I don't know what it is like not to have a large family. I always say 'Lot's of love and laughter for sure.
Life with twins is a blast ... my twins are 21 .
What a fun, few days!! Looks like everyone had a great time. Gorgeous fireplace. Never thought of using the ring as a cutter. I just use the rim of the jar. My husband actually prefers beef stroganoff with ground beef instead of tips or strips. When we homeschooled, we usually took that day off to play in the snow. Blessings

It was wonderful to see you guys all getting out and enjoying the nice weather😊😊🌈🌈❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ it's like you said it's really hard to deal with little guys/babies but you did it anyway. I spending time with your friends was especially wonderful it's hard to believe this year how we can go from 70° to snow the next day. That's how it is here in the Midwest as well. We are freezing ice and wind today, with -14° or more and Highwinds over this coming weekend, & Yet last weekend, We were in the upper 40s and gorgeous days so how can you be 60° difference in just a few days. Weird winter already that's what I have to say.
Anyway, Dad, I loved all the instructions You were giving your youngest son about the importance of keeping his gloves on while he's outside playing in the snow and you repeated yourself multiple times to make sure he understood what you were saying! It is the hardest thing I think to teach a little boy or even a middle-aged boy, to keep his gloves on his hands. He/ they just Get so excited out there and that Snow❣️
What a cute little conversation the two of you had regarding him being a bigger boy and it being "magic" versus awesome and wonderful…But in his mind, it was still MAGICAL, BECOMING A BIGGER BOY!!! Looking Back, oh my sons and grandsons, I think he might have it right. Certainly at least a little magic involved and they're getting bigger, & growing up SO FAST❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
