1989 - 1998 - golden age of Megadeth - Friedman-Menza-Mustaine-Eleffeson - the best group ever!
Maybe ,but 1986-1994 is golden age of Megadeth
@@Jakuup12 Peace Sells to Cryptic Writings is the golden era. Risk was the first shit album.
1986 -1997 was their best age
Alineación de ensueño...
Yes, I agree 👉👌🥴🚬
The planets were aligned that night for megadeth.
Especially with how high Dave is XD
He was sober here guy
@@badass6300 he was sober already at that time, he died in 94 and then never used drugs again since
@@TheGabrielSevero123 He wasn't sober yet for sure.
RIP Nick Menza
I saw them in '94, Nick Menza was a beast. I've still got one of his drumsticks somewhere :)
Hell yeah loved Nick mustaine stole Jimmy degrasso from suicidal and fired him
@@tbost11 That was one of the stupidest decisions Megadave ever made.
Who?
@@dereksmallsuk Longtime Drummer at Megadeth
The only reason Dave looks at his hand sometimes while he is playing is because even his mind is blown by his ability to play like that while singing.
RIP Nick Menza. Great Drummer
Yeah no doubt, RIP very underated.
More than great. R.I.P NICK MENZA😭💔
@@steveschreiner9438 -- Everyone rates him highly. What are you talking about?
@@loganstriker2973 People that do rate him, rate him highly. But not enough people rate him in the first place.
@@loganstriker2973 For me it was the energy he added to any song he played on.
This line up is why I started listening to Megadeth.
GoingGoingGonzo18
Same here..lol
GoingGoingGonzo18 Killing is my business is one of their best albums too
Amen to that, my favorite line up ever.
This lineup is why 99.9% of Megadeth fans started listening to Megadeth.
In 94?
Mustaine must have two brains to play this Holy Wars and sing at the same time, I can't!!!
First you learn the riff, than you try to sing the song in your head while playing, do that until you can do the whole part no errors at least 2 times, then move to saying the lyrics, same proccess here. Then try saying to the rythim of the song
Then you start singing
@@otavio048 Ye i try that and now i can play and sing
@God Love like not singing, just saying in the same rhythm as Dave singing, like if you were playing a drum
I sing, play the guitar with one hand while playing the drums with the other hand.
Totally agreed. I tried singing while playing playing Holy Wars. That's why there is only David Mustain. Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩❤.
Mustaine has alot of talent that is for damn sure.
+Erika Lioness Without a shadow of a doubt! He is a legend.
Without a fucking doubt
He's gone through so much, And still he is a fucking legend!!!
@blue heeler 30 years too late for that feud to matter
Erika Lioness surprised how sloppy on the riffs marty was lol, its pretty clear and audible
i love the youthanasia solos
@Electric Scars i love this solo
Youthanasia is my third fav wth killing my business. Harder and thrasher than countdown.
This album so is so glanced over compared to every other album even though it is easilly one of their best works
@@HunteR-uc7nvstepped on Metallica’s grave with it
They were at their peak here, Dave's voice was the best it ever had been, they're SO fucking tight and their instruments sound amazing
Drugged Dave wrote great shit. Sober Dave played much better and tighter.
If you want vocals, one word for you: Youthanasia
@@ethanolhaines4139 I agree ! Youthanasia is perhaps my favorite album with Rust in Peace !
Love Cryptic Writings and Countdown to extinction too
@@cparent00777 just not Risk. Risk is something we shall never speak of here
the system has failed has some good vocals too
Nick joined in 1989, Marty joined in 1990, so it was just 8 years of total epic awesomeness
People can shit on Mustaine’s vocals, but his voice is so unique and part of the sound of the band. To me, they were the best of the big 4.
It's not even close. They are thrash.
Were? Are my friends, are.
Its not the vocal themselves but the melody. His Vocals are trash but he is created those melodies so he owns them.
I can not stop listening to megadeth
They are like COWBELL! And I can't get enough COWBELL!!

Bass...vocals...floor tom... and harmonica. Dave Ellefson can do it all
Criminally underrated. Every Dave needs a Dave because without him there’s no him! Plus that dude has put millions of miles of thrash metal bass on basses- that shit ain’t for wimps!
The back bone for this ultra furious thrash metal legendary band

Mustaine in his best voice
People today would be like "Dave vocal sucks, he cant sing"
Well, he used to be one of highest pitch vocalist back in 80s and 90s. He's in mid 50's now but this performance show how he used to be a great singer.
@@vicrattlehead6386 not even close, what are you talking about? I love Mustaine, but his vocals are not high pitched, they are just extremely whiney. Dickinson, Belladonna, Halford, CJ Snare, Joe Elliot, Sheepers, KING DIAMOND! Just to name a tiny tiny few
@@cayala7002 listen to some of the song on Killing Is My Business And Business is Good, his voice is really high, he can reach very high notes there
@@cayala7002 lol Love that description. He has that lovable underdog whiny rat voice like he's always pissed. I think he started to sound more masculine by that 'cryptic writings' album though while Dickinson, for one, declined in the late 90's and he had that hoarse old man voice by 'Brave New World'.
C Ayala I have to agree. I’m a huge Mustaine fan and have been for years. But I’ve never considered him a top vocalist and this performance doesn’t change that. he has a very distinctive style and sound that can’t be mistaken for anyone else - and that’s something. Dave is an amazing guitarist (rhythm & lead) and writes great music & lyrics so he’s forgiven if he’s not the best vocalist around.
WHEN THE WORLD WAS PERFECT AND MEGADETH RULED

@@otavio048 What a vag.
Those drums sound shockingly good. Most metal drum recordings sound like absolute shit - these drums sound more natural, real.
The cellphone / digital recording era made snare and double pedal sounds like typewriter.
I agree with you that the drums we hear, see in this concert sounds better than many or most of today's drums and today's dtums sounds/ productions especially in metalcore records... and I respect the opinions and tastes of others... but, in my opinion, only in my personal opinion, to say that this drums sounds shockingly good is a bit of an exaggeration.
In addition I'd add that if Menza had also used for this concert a traditional wood-made acoustic drum kit (e.g. maple or birch tama or pearl) it would have sounded even better in that gig. I really feel sorry for all the trees that are cut down to build drums and other wood-made products, but as for violins and pianos, acoustic drums also sound much better when are made of wood. Wood-made drums sound better and look also better.
Mr. MENZA IS AWSOME AS ALWAYS!!!! MEGADETH RULES, AND ALWAYS WILL😛😛😛😛😛😛
@@mistermaster4801 you shouldn't feel sorry for trees being cut down to make something useful, besides the wood comes from tree farms so the impact on the actual environment is minimal
IT IS BECAUSE THE DRUMMER NICK WAS ONE OF THE BEST ROCK DRUMMERS IN THE 80'S-90'S... BLESS HIS SOUL TODAY ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF HIS DEATH. MISS YOU NICK : (
I hope someone else noticed Junior's opera-like backing vocals near the end of Reckoning Day. Man Ellefson, he should get that mic more.
He's got a great voice. Listen to his and Kiko's backing vocals in live performances of Dystopia.
Dave is fire on this set. Menza slaying drums, Friedman leading. what a year.
Just feeling that as I watch Mustaine rip another intro solo on Darkest Hour. Everyone is great on this set.
@@tmmsplace agreed.
You forgot Dave buddy
im sorry but daves vocals are horrendous but his playing is good.
Megadeth sounds better with Jackson guitars also Marty & Nick the best line up ever
Melvin Martinez Dunno, though...his B.C. Rich sound is signature! Yes, generally. they're not great...but Dave made "em work. You could give Dave a tin can and a string, though, and *he'd MAKE it work. xD*
Don't know if you are aware of this, but Mustaine tried to buy Jackson guitars in the late nineties. When Fender outbid him, he was so pissed he switched allegiances to ESP until the mid 2000's when he acquired his current Dean endorsement.
jackson guitars usa
Joseph Marrero That’s fucking hilarious and so stupid at the same time. Jackson’s are miles better than Dean’s. Still, doesn’t excuse how bad his lead playing has been for the past 8-9 years
RuffisInc everybody is a critic. Wtf have you done with your music career?
The most genuinely psychotic performance of Sweating Bullets
Zachary Mikuska Dave's snarles and facial expressions are truly disturbing yet awesome in this performance!
I prefer 1992 italy performance

Wow, 7 years. Yall should really be listening to YOB tho
Menza is a beast on drums. This band is a fucking super group.
+Pauly196740 Well, he has more soul (maybe groove) I think.
That is also something to do with Mustaine's UNIQUE riffs...His riffs are extraordinary;his way of arranginga song;the traffic of the riffs;he is a different world;Mustaine is a miracle for the music industry...
Amen puto. Amen!!!!😌😌😌😌
@@moonshinehotelsuites6109 mmm, I would rather say that with the Nick´s drumming the Mustaine´s great riffs jump yet one more level up!
Agree. Menza is kicking everyone in the ass. Like Tempesta when he was in Testament or Stanier when he was in Helmet. It just clicks.
A tout le monde while seeing Nick on the drums just had me in tears... Goddamnit, some people go way too soon.
So sad, 51 was way too young, at least he went out doing what he loved 💔

I got to see them on the Rust in Peace tour and it was fucking amazing!
1986 would be the year then.
I saw them in Glasgow on this tour. my first ever concert I was deaf for 3days but fuck was it good
Can't really agree about their prime part. They might've had some lesser moments... But they are still killin' it now! United Abominations was fantastic! And Dystopia was awesome! They are one of the most consistent thrash metal bands that has ever been!
