I seen them 8 times since 2010 and everytime has been spot on with his vocals. A lot of the recording are bad audio quality and the mic not dialed in properly, and when you do this many shows and at his age you will have nights where your not as good. But to say his voice is shot is not true , just not the same as when he was in his 20s.

They tuned down the instruments since Super Collider I think, so now he is singing with one/two(don't know exactly how many) semitones below his voice on the record. That allows him to hit the higher notes in the lower range and also sound even more badass I think haha

Amazing that Dave can put so much more effort into his vocals at his age and still play like this! Kiko has almost perfectly nailed Marty's leads as well, which is no easy feat. Excellent performance all around and the mix on this is incredible for a live gig. Hoping this doesn't get pulled....

Is Mustaine taking singing lessons or something? He sounds amazing considering all he's being through. And he doesn't try to reach notes he can't like before. In some songs like The Conjuring he tries to sing more like the old days ,but it's not like 2018 when he was trying too much even though they were still great performances. Some songs like Dread, Sweating or Angry Again, that of course are chosen to be easy on Mustaine, soudns fucking incredible.
Yeah he sounds pretty good in everything but the conjuring. I appreciate that they still play it for the fans despite his voice being pretty rough for the high parts
I haven't been able to enjoy Dave's voice in the live concerts from the past years... but this... this is a game changer. Maybe his voice improved due to the recording of their upcoming album, who knows. Point is he is doing better, which is the most important
I think they are also picking songs that are within his current range, which I'm happy with. I hate hearing singers trying and failing to sing songs just because they were hits.
Hes mentioned in interviews that once he got over the throat cancer he realized if he wanted to perform at his best he has to work on his voice like crazy which is what hes doing. That’s not a very high bar honestly. Megadeth blows the other bands in the Big four out of the frigging water. All the bands in the big four are there due to popularity, not quality. seeing Kiko's bends live melted my face more than I can describe. Great job dudes!
Kiko is the real deal! He's a BEAST! The only Megadeth lead guitar to match Marty.
Chris Broderick was also good, maybe not the best writer but he also played Marty's solos note for note.
But no one can match Kiko playing live.. hehe
Inclusive acertando o que ele mesmo Criou para o MegaDeth em DYSTOPIA
Let's not forget about Chris Poland being a beast & hard to copy.
Bru Chris Poland leads were the foundation this band was built on!
Kiko is helping Megadeth to go back in your real place in metal scene!! \,,,/
Dave's voice hasn't been this expressive since years ago. Can't wait to hear the new album, apparently a new single is coming tomorrow
It's incredible.
After all these years Dave's voice is still holding up pretty well
Lo iba a poner solo para echar un vistazo y al final lo vi entero, ha sido inevitable, por momentos me sentí feliz entre el publico escuchando megadeth como otras veces, un concierto memorable.
Dave's vocals were shot by 2010, but this performance sounds so much better than anything around '10-20. The new record might be killer!
It's pretty good.
@@Hunter14 While I'll concede that those audios ain't the best, there's no way he sounds anywhere near as good as the Youthanasia tour, which was the only time I see them. You can hear the dif tween Warchest Wembley '90 and Rude Awakening, then That 1 Night. And, his register is dif. tween U.A. and Endgame recordings with Andy Sneap. He sounds crap on Endgame - awful on Super Shit Collider. RIP Live isn't good. That's just life.
sweating bullets vocals r so good
It sounds like he had to downtune the guitars by a step for his vocals.

Band is so tight and amazing. Dave is a legend Kiko is a metal God.
So happy for all your success guys. Keep rockin.
I was lucky to see them this year in Paraguay. Very professional, bro has more than 60 and still rock the shit out of it
Dread and the Fugitive mind was always imo an underrated gem from this band!
It just came about right after Marty left, and i think a lot of people didn't love that album. There are a couple good songs on there, but i don't think Al Pitrelli really fit the band imo. Have to agree. Dread is a solid song.
@@KoTerrors his solo in this was sick though
Kiko's solos are so flawless even onstage, incredible !!
In this aspect he's the best Megadeth guitarist ever.
@@guigow2004 In every aspect imo

Great to see another pro shot video of the Conjuring!
I love Dave. He's always dressed like he's went for a drive in a classic European convertable car and stopped off to treat the wife to a pub lunch. While doing face melting metal.
A glass of wine 🍷 for the lady , waiter 😂 man you mailed it
I have been huge fan of ANGRA and Kiko since before, so I am really proud of him playing in Megadeth.
James Lomenzo is a great addition. Aside from his excellence bass playing, I always like his backing vocals even from his White Lion days.
Agreed, I had to double take it was him
it will interesting to see Lomenzo play the bass parts live from their upcoming album, I am sure he can nail them!
Thank you for bringing him to light. I've seen White Lion vids but not live. Every time I try to see megadeth, some crazy shit happens. Sick or storms the last 2 times.
Meh it’s not the same without Junior
Lomenzo is the best possible change for Ellefson.
So many line ups - all of them great, so many albums - all of them great, so many obstacles - all of them overcome. Megadeth forever!

Pro shot indeed! And Dave was on his game definitely! Looks like his voice improved a bit.
Whoever filmed that - thank you for uploading 🙏🏻
Wow Dave has improved. Dave can those highs again!!! Must have worked with the industries best coaches. He hasn’t sounded this good since 2007
Let's not get crazy
They tuned down the instruments since Super Collider I think, so now he is singing with one/two(don't know exactly how many) semitones below his voice on the record. That allows him to hit the higher notes in the lower range and also sound even more badass I think haha
@@leeroden7900 I mean it's not vintage Dave but cmon, it's pretty darn good
They're tuning pretty low here, but he does sound pretty damn good
@@heatnationwpb only D standard, one whole step. Not half bad
Megadeth in 2022 are still unbelievable. WOW
I know right
James & Metallica can't even come close today to their old sound, and Megadeth is still crushing it
Dread and fugitove mind? Amazing!
love that finally kikko learnt the real solo ! he often played some alternative solo before on that part, and it was ruining the song. This song is underrated and its solo as well
That was absolute fire!
Megadeth has never been in competition with anyone else as far as I am concerned.
Dave is a force and has become quite a legend to me
I really enjoyed this and Kiko's tone was perfect
Thanks to the whole band for putting 100% effort into this show. One of the best I've ever heard

I am a Megadeth fan for a long time and I have seen most of their live material, but man this has got to be their best live. Dave is just feeling great, his voice sounds better than ever and the rest of the band just ace it! The set list is also REALLY GOOD!
It's amazing that he still giving OK shows when he is that old and had throat cancer not much time ago
@@adrianbs7a Ok? Man this was great!
@@Beanpolr yeah it was awesome, I get excited only watching it in my phone lol. I was refering to his voice. It's good enough, but it's not that good. The rest is impecable, amazing

These guys sound amazingly tight! I love how Kiko plays the stuff note for note because thats what we as fans remember in our mind from listening to the albums. Thanks for sharing!
Lars could learn from this.

Their current line up is great. Definitely one of the best megadeth lineups.
nothing betteer than mustaine ellfeson menza and freidman
Maybe the best I agree, they are all awesome and it sounds so great!
Love them from the 90s all the way too current day! Megadeth is the best of the Big Four!
Megadeth is back at the top of their game. Amazingly shot and recorded show here! So happy this band is still making quality music and not letting up - the new single rocks, too!
Uhhhh, Dave's vocals during The Conjuring (23:06) were not good. Not good at all.
He has throat cancer what did you expect retard
Still killing it in 2022! Megadeth ROCKS!
Impressionante.
Can we just say that this Megadeth lineup is awesome! All of them are so talented!
I could say that I havent seen the band so good as in this moment. They are solid, harmonious and in a high creative and professional state! MEGADETH!
this band is absolutely amazing, it has been since first album on, no doubt about it. Won't talk about the band leader, he is an absolute icon for everyone of us, a legend i'd say. Few words about the drummer, i'd say he is my best choice since Gar Samuelson (rip), and the guitarist, cmon Kiko you definitely rules!!! this band has always had top players on the guitar, and my heart still goes for Chris Poland Peace Sells solos, but being able to cover and playing solos of the previous guitarists adding personal touch and feeling and technique, tells me Kiko is absolutely a master of guitar playing
The drum sound is quite annoying in this however, the snare especially
I think no one can beat Nick Menza, but Dirk is absolutely an amazing drummer!
@@newsted88 Jimmy DeGrasso was killer behind the kit in 1999 Woodstock and Dirk is amazing too! Menza approves and I know Dave does as well.
@@newsted88 Gar's jazz influenced beats were the best. still, this lineup is almost as good as the original.
Amazing that Dave can put so much more effort into his vocals at his age and still play like this! Kiko has almost perfectly nailed Marty's leads as well, which is no easy feat. Excellent performance all around and the mix on this is incredible for a live gig. Hoping this doesn't get pulled....
The mix really is incredible!
Is it really amazing? Or are you just now seeing how talented he has always been? Typical Dave, from what I see.
well.. unlike most artists he is actually talented and special. guess why metallica is bollocks these days? no more dave and cliff.
He's not even that old, stop making excuses for mediocrity.
@@mitchie2267 He literally just recovered from throat cancer in the past year. For someone that just beat cancer and is 60, he's doing really really good.
I've not seen any other Megadeth drummers hype up Holy wars like this guy, you could see the rest of band wanted to play for ever. BRILLIANT drummer. In fact you could only just about make the riff out at the start till the drummer came in. Watch Holywars again, I did.
Awesome show and awesome job to whoever filmed this! CRYSTAL clear picture and sound! First show Ive seen on the 2023 tour where you could actually hear both the music and Dave singing! He is truly blessed man and we are blessed to still have him! 🤘🏻♥️⭐️🎤🎸🥁

Those albums that he was on before Elfson came back, he was awesome on those too. Glad he's back, it made sense for Mustaine to give him his position back.

@@yessir6427 I agree. I think he's boring, unimaginative and robotic.
Dirk Hammet?
Is Mustaine taking singing lessons or something? He sounds amazing considering all he's being through. And he doesn't try to reach notes he can't like before. In some songs like The Conjuring he tries to sing more like the old days ,but it's not like 2018 when he was trying too much even though they were still great performances. Some songs like Dread, Sweating or Angry Again, that of course are chosen to be easy on Mustaine, soudns fucking incredible.
God, that performance of A Tout Le Monde is the best in a decade easily.
his voice is recovering. Really excited for future performances.
i feel the break due to cancer and the recovery kinda helped his voice get better, he sounds soo good!!
Yeah he sounds pretty good in everything but the conjuring. I appreciate that they still play it for the fans despite his voice being pretty rough for the high parts
His vocals in Hangar 18 are insane! I think he must've been making good use of Covid downtime. :)
I thought they weren’t performing The Conjuring anymore. This lineup is killer!!!
old age is actually working for dave's singing style and look. dude still can shred
I haven't been able to enjoy Dave's voice in the live concerts from the past years... but this... this is a game changer. Maybe his voice improved due to the recording of their upcoming album, who knows. Point is he is doing better, which is the most important
100%
I think they are also picking songs that are within his current range, which I'm happy with. I hate hearing singers trying and failing to sing songs just because they were hits.
@@TheRatlhed Totally agree
Hes mentioned in interviews that once he got over the throat cancer he realized if he wanted to perform at his best he has to work on his voice like crazy which is what hes doing. He mentioned before the cancer he wasn't sure if he could get his voice back because he didn't have the drive but he said now he wants his voice back so bad he will do whatever it takes. Makes me real happy.
@Krystal Alpha McCloud James's voice has seemed unstoppable the last 20 years. They tune down 1/2 step so he doesn't have to strain his voice so much, but he seems unafraid to push it in new directions.
Megadeth can achieve greatness again in their next album judging by this performance.

It won't be long before Dave calls Kiko back, the guy brought the shine and energy to the band, his unique way of playing and his compositions, not a mere note player... Kiko is the best guitar Megadeth had by far, man Brazilian.
Kiko said that he chose to leave megadeath. That's a huge shame ;(

That’s not a very high bar honestly. Megadeth blows the other bands in the Big four out of the frigging water. All the bands in the big four are there due to popularity, not quality. If it were quality based, Megadeth would be the only ones remaining, and Exodus along with Testament would take Metallica/Slayer’s spot. I’m not sure who would take Anthrax’s spot. I’m not that much into thrash. I’m more of a prog guy.
