Shark AI VACMOP Pro Review and Mopping Tests - Is the Navigation better than the Roborock 😮😂
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 жов 2020
- The Shark AI is Shark's latest robot vacuum that has a vastly improved Laser Navigation system and Mapping performance. I previously owned the Shark IQ and had a hard time getting the robot to map my floor plan. it took around 30 runs on the first map and 35 runs on the 2nd map. Have heard on most recent updates the Shark IQ maps a lot quicker 3-5 runs.
Luckily this New model the Shark AI right out if the box mapped out my floor plan in two runs. The first run maps the boundaries and furniture of your floor plan while the 2nd runs looks for carpets so the robot won't mop your carpet while mopping.
Sadly the Shark AI doesn't offer a self emptying bin system so if you are interested in that check out the Shark IQ XL

First 😂👌 btw keep the good work up 👍
Hahaha thanks!!!
@@RobotMasters Does anyone know the suction power of the shark AI vac mop pro?
@@marktaylor9616 Don't know the specific number
This guy is hilarious, I’m not even looking for a vacuum and still watch lol.
Hahaha 🤗🤗🤗
This was a very thorough review. Thank you so much for doing this.
Glad the video helped 😅
My new favorite channel! This is awesome entertainment. Way better than tv!!!
Great video! would be nice if you added a segment with how loud the robots are running. Think a lot of us like to know that, thanks and keep em coming very entertaining.
Thanks for the suggestion, may need to get a sound meter.
Okay I want to get this for myself for Christmas!
Awesome vid, showed me what I need to know, and great personality! Thank you 🌸
Great review. Very thorough. I'm going to buy based on this review. Thanks
Sounds good 👍
Oh I like this brutal force, absolutely violent review 😂😂😂
I think that plastic piece you took off actually gets the hair off the roller brush. It got comb like teeth on it. I believe that’s how the it cuts the hair
Yeah that what I realize now, it may also help prevent debris from spilling out when taking out the dust bin.
I just bought this vacmop shark and I love it
Glad it working well 😂
Great video very helpful and entertaining.
9:29 The Shark AI was like I hate shoes!
I learnt a great deal about IQ robot now and able to use mine much kore efficiently now. By the way, where can I get the mopping accessory for shark IQ?
Great videos dude. You always entertain!! HAHAHAHA. Just a note on that "little plastic part" that you removed. That part is what makes the ZERO-M functionality work (the no wrapping of hair around the brush. If you look at the tons of tiny notches on that "little plastic part", that is what cuts the hair as it wraps around the brush. Just an fyi. Videos are great though.
Oh thanks for the info makes since, thought the hair cutting was on the ends of the extractor bar.
0:31 When a domino in your chain of dominos falls down.
I have been using it for less than a month but i have found that the robot slips on smooth tiled floors and gives the stops because it thinks it's stuck.
Do not face the same issue on the marble flooring but only on the tile surface.
I love this video lol! I also never read instructions 😂
Yes instructions go straight to the trash bin 🗑
Nice Tip at the beginning for the removal of the tray/blocker thing!
There a trade off, it won’t remove the hair from the extractor bar, but can handle more dirt and debris and the robot seems a little louder.
Do you have any experience trouble shooting flashing lights/flashing exclamation mark ?
idk if you've reviewed the new revision shark iq model, but it now has a optical sensor for tracking the floor like the Roombas. Recently got it so it'll be a while before I can find out if it's better than their original model.
Thanks for the update, heard the mapping is also a lot better.
@@RobotMasters I haven't touched the map icon yet, but I did what I did with the original model which was to enable recharge and resume and run at eco power level. I was able to get an accurate map on the first run for both - question is, will it always know where to go if lighting changes? Guess I'll find out - cuz with the original, if I didn't run it in the morning, it'd take 5+ minutes to find a room, and sometimes not at all.
Great video, My vacmop keeps saying tank is EMPY! But the tank is full! Any help you can give me would be great. Thank you

How is the Shark Vacmop doing now? Is it good with long hair? Thanks!
I had this (shark) for a month and it stopped working. It worked well prior to it dying. I am considering getting the same (shark) or going with ecovacs ozmo t5. The mopping functionality is important to me, and the shark left a good clean when used regularly. Which robot would you recommend? I have a house that has one floor all hardwood, and second all carpet. The shark vacmop mapped the wood floor for mopping purposes, but just had to push the clean button to clean 2nd floor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Btw - love your videos! Keep them coming!
Hmmmm look into the 360 S7 Pro amzn.to/3qMGebX has strong suction and carpet performance. The multi level saving is easy to switch levels for the user.
Another option is the Roborock S5 Max which is $459 Renewed amzn.to/2YbZzqY
Has good all around cleaning and mopping performance and features.
If you are looking into a self emptying system with mopping the only one that descent is the Ecovacs T8 amzn.to/2KOoJJc
Has optional vibrating mopping module and self emptying system. So those are just a few of my picks
Ozmo t5 sucks! I just sent mine back. Mopping is awful, no oscillation. Just terrible
Also how is the mapping and can you put no go zones and can you tell it to go clean something and you should do an in depth review
The Shark AI mapping is a lot better than the Shark IQ mapping. Yes you can tell the robot to clean a certain room, area or stay out of an area.
So I’ve had my Shark AI mop vac for about 12 months. It’s stopped mopping. I’ve tried everything to get it to mop. Shark sent another one however it’s not mopping after 3 months. What can I do? I’ve watched so many videos but I haven’t found one on fixing the mopping system. Please help! Shark want do anything after warranty expires. These Shark AI vac mops are not cheap!!
After it mapped my room and carpet it crapped out giving me an error code 3 I can’t clear. After 3 hours out of the box I’m sending it back.
So I have a question that nobody can seem to answer and the couple of people I spoke with at shark just want me to spend $500 for a new robot. There has to be a simple solution to my problem hopefully. So I have the shark robot vacmop. It works great no complaints except for the fact the mopping quit working. I’ve kept the reservoir clean after ever mop. I’ve cleaned up the whole robot but nothing seems to work. Before I spent the money on a new reservoir I wanted to get opinions on what it could be. I’ve only owned a robot for two months so I’m definitely new to all this. Please help any ideas will help.
Awesome video! Just wish it had subtitles
🤨🤣
Great video! Interesting to see a robot with only front facing LIDAR. Which I can see pros and cons with
Pros- more accurate readings for frontal view
Cons-can't see around it for objects it's not driving towards.
Yeah most of this robot vacuums have a narrow field of view, weather is a camera based system found on the T8 and S6 MaxV, Sonar like on the 360 S9 or a front laser system. Hopefully they will incorporate 360 degree coverage.
@@RobotMasters I believe Neato holds the U S patent for use of 360 lidar on a robot vacuum. This is the best alternative I have seen so far. This is MUCH better navigation then the Shark IQ.I must say the IQ navigation has inproved with software updates but is still not in the same class as lidar .,
@@danimal107 Yeah I agree, Neato was the first robot company to implement Lidar in their products.
No Self empty-tower? Wonder if you can find out when it will be available.
Unfortunately the Shark AI doesn't offer or is compatible with a self emptying system. That available for the Shark IQ model.
I recently bought this same model and it doesn’t seem to get up against furniture or baseboards like my roomba did.. so all the little crumbs and stuff against the walls gets missed. Any suggestions?
I noticed that as well in this video.
2:13 When your cat is in the toilet.
Can you pair a self dumping bin to this unit ? Or have to buy the one that already comes with the self dumping bin ?
As I know the Shark AI isn’t compatible with the self emptying. You need to buy one that comes with it. This is their latest model amzn.to/3L4oQJC
How much louder is this compared to the Roomba 960? I’m thinking of buying this robot to replace my 960.
I would say it sounds like a motor boat. You probably don't want to run this while having dinner, talking to people or watching TV. A little louder than the 960.
I LEARNED MORE FROM HIM THAN THE SHARK REPS!
😇😇😇😇
i got one of these robots and noticed it has trouble with orange/red objects, other than that, the navigation works pretty well
Good to know, thanks for the information 😁
Also for anyone wondering, it does seem to continuously update it's map automatically as it cleans
Is this the same as the Shark IQ wet & dry xl robot? 🤔 bcuz I can't find it anywhere & that's what I was given when I order the Shark ai vacmop
The main difference is the AI utilizes a front laser system to navigate and avoid obstacles where as the IQ relies on a camera system. For the most part both robots have very similar cleaning systems. I believe the AI mops as well as the pad vibrates.
Watched three times I'm sure I'd love this over a proscenic m7 with 20 usd dust bin and i do not need a mop.
The Shark has some good traits. Cleaning performance is good, good for hair pickup. I found the Proscenic had good navigation and can save multiple maps.
Can you compare the shark Ai to a Deebot model? It seems that the price of the Shark is more desirable, but what about the the quality?
So the Shark AI was able to pickup smaller objects that are in front of the robot. The Deebot depending on what model you get is comparable to the Shark AI. What type of floor plan are you going to use the robot on, how big is it and does it have multiple levels. I believe the Shark AI only supports one level.
I love these videos because when he reviews robot vaccum I will know which one to buy
Glad I can help 🤔😂😂😂🤗🤗🤗
Mine spins like that but will not mop leaves no wet path

Mine does not wet the pad anymore. The first time I ran them up it did wet the pad but then now after switching out the mop and starting a new cycle of mopping it did not wet the pad and so it ran the mop with three streaks of solution coming behind it but it was not fully saturated and so it did not do a great job mopping.
Sorry to hear you are having issues with the mop. You can try turning the robot on and off, to reset the robot. Also make sure the robot recognizes the water tank and mopping as is installed. I do recommend pre wetting the mopping pad to help start the mopping. If you notice the mopping pad becoming dry after several passes, it could be an issue with the pump. I think you might be able to hear the pump running too. Hopefully the robot under warranty and you could get a replacement or a refund if it still not working.
@@RobotMasters it does not say to wet the mop pad beforehand but I think that is a wise idea in this case.
Best day ever for you enthusiasts out there about vacuums and robot vacuums. Vacuum wars made a new video today! And so did Robot Masters! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
😂😂😂
does it oscillate like Deebot Ozmo Pro Mopping Module? :)
Yes it oscillates from side to side according to Shark 100 times per minute.
Very cool sound shooooooooooooo
What’s the best robot vac/mop on the market. I have a 3000 sq ft home no pets. Had to return a 360 s7 WiFi kept failing
My top pics are the Roborock S4, S7, did like the 369 S10 and the Roomba are good.
That navigation is a lot better than the previous model
Yeah the navigation night and day between the two models. Hopefully shark can add a self emptying bin to the AI
@@RobotMastersI hope so, more option for the consumer, the better.
@robotmasters should I get this new shark or get the RoboRock S5 Max which is currently on sale for Amazon Prime day?? I had really been holding out to see if this was better than the S5 Max! But the S5 Max is currently $439 on sale...
I would get the S5 Max, overall a better robot vacuum. The cleaning performance and App integration is good.
Robot Masters wow even with the Sharks new navigation and vibrating mop head?
@@joshmitford4450 Yes because the vibrating mopping module didn't make a huge difference between the non vibrating mopping module. I found the side brush and cleaning mechanics to be better on the S5 Max. But you won't know for sure until you try the robot in your home. Even the best robot vacuum might not be ideal.
Robot Masters thanks for the thoughts! With the S5 Max on sale for $439 that’s a tough deal to beat.
@@joshmitford4450 Sure no problem!!!
Shark: Stupid app always asks me which shark, even though I only have 1 shark.
Hi robot master. I would like to know what is the best vaccum and mop together robot?can you help me with that? Thank you
My favorite robot vacuum and mop is the S5 max amzn.to/2EYygKC
For the price, performance and navigation it hard to beat. The other option that offers a lot options is the ecovacs T8.
amzn.to/3itnNVq
Can add a self emptying bin and vibrating mopping module. Has a dedicated carpet sensor to avoid carpet when mopping.
Robot Masters thank you 😉
@robot master do you have a reccomendation that’s not as expensive as the ones listed above
well it just needs the self empty bin
Never mind I just found this! :-)
Does this app have live maps where it shows the path being used to clean? - Roborocks have this
No unfortunately it doesn’t track live where the robot has cleaned and hasn’t cleaned. Does have a static map history where you can see where the robot is.
Does it work with the existing self-empty bin?
No it doesn't, there currently no option for a self emptying bin.
My Shark IQ is the only robot I’ve found that can vacuum shag carpets. Can the Shark AI vacuum shag carpets?
It should same body and cleaning mechanics as the IQ
@Robot Masters Does anyone know what the suction is on the shark vac mop pro? No one seems to know.
Sorry I don’t know the exact Pa.
@@RobotMasters have you got the Odobe P8 yet to test?
@@marktaylor9616 Yes, I am in the process of testing it now
What would you suggest for a our home: 1’floor, about 1600 Sq. Ft., all laminate flooring. I’d love a vacuum and mop unit together that’s not super expensive.
Hello not sure what your price point is, but here a few low cost options that have mopping and vacuuming capabilities. First the Roborock E4 offer a smart navigation and mopping amzn.to/3rfxDzt uses the same cleaning system as the more expensive Roborock models. One thing you won’t get is the ability to select a room via the App. If you want that feature look at the Roborock S6 Pure amzn.to/3sNuNlA
Another cheaper option is amzn.to/3e8HLX2
@@RobotMasters around that price range. We just bought the shark with the tower/dust cup.
Do you know if these robots need a special solution to buy? How do these compare to the sharkmop?
@@marthasevilla7360 Yes it recommended to use Shark own solution. You could just use warm water too. Cleaners that aren't for use with mopping robots could damage the components.
@@RobotMasters how do the robots you reccomended compare to the shark mopvac?
@@marthasevilla7360 As for the mopping performance the Shark did pretty well with the vibrating mopping system. The Lidar based robots like the Roborock has better navigation, but in normal day to day cleaning the Shark should do fine. I find the Shark to do better on carpet and resist hair getting tangled around the brush roll.
I have bought the Shark 2001wd vac mop but the pad does not seem to get wet. It does not leave a wet stream behind like the one in your video. I have tried rebooting the robot and switching it off and on again. Kindly help as I got this robot specifically to mop.
Hmmm check to see if the robot announces the mopping pad. See if there no settings indicating the water is shut off.
Found out that the reservoir was defective, the valve was installed the other way around. Used a hot knife to get into the reservoir, flipped the non return valve and now it's working. However the robot slips when mopping rooms with smooth tiled flooring. Does not slip on marble flooring.
@@sarangturekar Thanks for sharing, that a bummer that the wheels are slipping.

Lmao this guy is AWESOME
Well I did it again.I bought another robot vac I really didn't need.
I purchased the Shark ai pro from Best Buy for $350($120 off).
I am very happy with this robot.
The navigation is good and the mopping feature is great as a maintenance floor cleaning tool.
I have seen You Tube videos where the guy is spreading pudding on the floor and leaving it for days, and saying the Shark AI isa p.o.s. becauce it can't clean this.
It will probably take a swifter a couple minutes to get that pudding stain out.
In my opinion videos like that are worthless.
Thanks for sharing your experience. The Shark AI navigation and object recognition is very impressive. One of the few robots that can detect clear water bottles and smaller objects. The self cleaning brush roll did well resisting hair tangles.
Do you know if you can mop like throw rugs
No it can’t, more than likely get hung up. You can mop rubber matt’s and other smooth surfaces.
Hi i have a question so i have 2 floors can we save 2 maps for 2 floors
Sorry the shark can only save one floor at a time
I love it but no where can I find instructions how to empty the dust compartment. Not everyone is app savvy! Written in instructions would be great! It blew me away the first time I used it! No one could possibly be disappointed with the robot!
'Yup, it flies."

LOL 😆 🤣
My vacuum mop doesn't mop?
is it worth to buy? how it compares with Roomba?
I would personally go with the Roomba. I like the i3+ or if you need the keep out zones the i7 is a good option.
@@RobotMasters so the Shark is less efficient than Roomba?
@@RoboVacParty Shark does clean better, but the navigation and reliability of the software isn’t as good as the Roomba
I felt like you didn’t give it an honest review, bc who would actually have that kind of mess for their mop to pick up, can you just do a test on daily dirt and debre like litter for the mopping?
Thanks for your feedback, always trying to improve my testing
@@RobotMasters my Hizero that I have for 3 months just stopped working, I was wondering which robot vac/mop you would recommend, no budget ❤️

@@RobotMasters Omgggg, you are truly amazing, apartment, one floor plan, no carpets and I think it’s laminated, 4 cats, I was hoping for a robot vac/mop.
@@Hivydar Look at the Roborock e35, amzn.to/37hwyjp
has strong vacuuming and mopping capabilities minus the smart mapping features. Save a few hundred dollars. You may be fine not needing the mapping features since you have a smaller area. If you want the smart mapping features look at S5 Max
amzn.to/2FFp525
Lastly another good robot vacuum with mopping is amzn.to/3dDbYLj
All of them have mopping and vacuum at the same time. Also do well with pet hair and hardwood floors
What about this new Bissel?? It’s the only robot I’ve seen that actually scrubs. BISSELL SpinWave Hard Floor Expert Wet and Dry Robot Vacuum, 3115
I am considering getting the Bissel Spinwave

@@devinhonbarger1635 it gyro based no smart mapping
If the Bissell spinwave robot had smart mapping, it would clean the floors the best of ANY of these. The mopping is fantastic but the lack of mapping is a huge flaw! I’m waiting for Bissell to fix this.

It could could be the plastic housing, you can remove with two screws, might make quiter
@@RobotMasters what strange is when I turn the roll while it’s not running, it is still making knock knock noise. I wonder if it is manufacturer defect. I feel like removing plastic housing will help for stuff not getting stuck inside. I just watched another video 20 mins long. is this better than the ecovac t8 plus?
It depends on what features you are looking for. The Shark AI has good cleaning performance and obstacle avoidance. The T8 Plus offers self emptying option and Lidar navigation is good. I think you can’t go wrong with either model.
@@RobotMasters awesome thanks
There is a opening on the back were the mop hooked on, what is it and since dust bin doesn't need to be removed why could the original self emptying tower work with this. very stupid move shark removing that
I agree Shark should of made a self emptying system for the AI. The navigation is night and day between the IQ and AI. Anyways I believe from Shark's marketing standpoint having the Shark AI offer all the features of the IQ aka self emptying bin than there no reason to get the IQ. Shark wants the IQ for customers looking for a cheap self emptying robot vacuum and offer the AI for mopping/vacuum and better navigation.
@@RobotMasters irobot did the right move by marking all new vacumms work off same tower, staple of new models. It looks by that hole in the back of the vacumm could be used by its tower with little modification to the bin. Its really strange unless it will be feature addon at later date but would have much greater sales if came from box that way. If this had self emptying bin probably picked this over irobot it really is impressive

Hi remember me
Hi 🤣
Robot Masters does you’re kid like dog man
How is the app? The app on the IQ is really slow and bad compared to the Roborock AND it actually has gotten worse with updates. But the IQ still soldiers on and gets the job done well enough. And the cyclones in the dirt bin can be washed so it has yet to develop any fowl smells. Not even my beloved Dyson V8 can lay claim to that after 4 years of use. Dirty, stinky cyclones that can't be removed and cleaned.
It the same as the IQ. From what I experienced it works ok. Haven't experienced many hang ups as U did with the IQ on earlier software versions. The big improvement is the navigation and mapping.
@@RobotMastersThe app doesn't hang, but it's SLOW and a buggy. Running it on Android. I could start 2 or 3 roborocks on a cleaning run (in series) in the same time it takes to start the Shark IQ. Even Vacuumwars had to admit the app wasn't great when I commented on his last big robot vac comparison. And you know he loves his Sharks.

Mechanically it works great. Connectivity is very bad. Software is very poor and support is "Forget about It" none existent. Called India twice, first call the tech could speak no English.
